The hotel is conveniently located on your way from the airport as you enter the city into the less touristy but stunning modernist neighborhood of EUR. The area is rich with museums, attraction and during summer, music festivals and events. Also there is a amusement park close by. During my stay I decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The wine and meat were top level ( I've got saltimbocca meat balls) as you would think in any high level restaurants in Italy. Next day I had the breakfast close to the swimming pool. It was rich and tasty. The buffet spanned from the standard continental courses to local variety of pastry and seasonal fruits. The large swimming pool is just the cherry on the cake to bear the Rome summer heat.

Nothing really, considering this is a just renewed historical hotel. I would increase shuttle services to the area around, and perhaps provide for guided tours the the less touristy impressive landmarks around such as the Square Colosseum

The staff at the hotel are so attentive and amazing, Stephanie at breakfast provided the most upbeat and warm welcome each morning the perfect way to start each day. The food in the restaurant was an outstanding quality, can definitely recommend the pizza which was outstanding for cost-of-value and quality. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and finished to a really high standard.

Unfortunately the spa wasn't yet open but this would have made the stay even better

My girlfriend and I stayed at Cardo Roma for a short break and I should say we really loved it. Everything from check in to check out was top notch. Wonderful location a short distance from a chaotic city center, amazing staff who went above and beyond. Superb dinner at the restaurant Vertisi, we got the best ever carbonara and their signature aperitive was just stunning. Strongly recommend. A weekend in July already booked :-)

The property is stunning. The rooms impeccable but one of the rooms A/C was not working properly and the maintenance crew was unable to make it work. As we all had to sleep in the one good room some of us had to sleep on the floor

Nothing - when we arrived we were told that the swimming pool was not open and the spa facilities were not open either. We booked the hotel on the premise that these were available, the booking.com listing showed both were open and available. So you can imagine our surprise when we arrived that nothing is available - at this point, we were just upset. I checked the listing again and it showed both were available. No Pool, No Spa facilities - they lie to say it's open to get you to book, absolutely disgusting behaviour. The staff did their bit to support us but it's the management and leadership of this hotel which absolutely stinks, shame on you. If you check their listing now it shows no swimming pool but if you read the fine print on the listing it says it's open from May to September, again absolute joke. Booking.com is to blame for this also - faceless company.
