This little hotel is a jewel. The location right on the Lungomare is perfect and my room was very comfortable. The two things most important to me are a good mattress (not too soft, comfortably firm) and an ample shower since I am a tall guy. My room had both these features and more. I must mention that the mini-hotel is located in a grand old building of considerable importance on the Lungomare that is undergoing renovation. The whole building is covered with scaffolding, so when I arrived I was puzzled about how to find the hotel. Anyone considering booking RarityArt should not let this be off putting. The rooms are very nice and Anna and Massimo are perfect hosts. If I return to Salerno I will definitely stay there again. It is a really good value.

I have no adverse criticism.

Different from other hotels offer on site Italian breakfast, we like the experience eating at neighborhood shop (Caldarelli Dolce). In the morning we had great time enjoying different type Italian bread and ocean view discussing our daily plan. We didn't spend much time in the city, however, it is perfect location to go to other Amalfi cost cities. all public transportation stops are round 10 min or so. We took ferry to go to Capri, bus to go to Amalfi and train to Naples/Pompei. The owners are very friendly and always available to help. He helped us into hotel room without having to wait for my husband who missed the ferry unfortunately.

No washer on site, however, there is laundromat nearby.

A handsome and roomy suite decorated with paintings by van Gogh. The mini-hotel has an art theme with each room commemorating a famous painter. The location is excellent: on the sea front, just 15 minutes from the port and railway station, and 5 minutes to the historic old town of Salerno. With the windows open it was noisy with the sounds of a bustling city, but closing the windows and shutters provided for a good night's sleep. Our apartment had a small terrace overlooking the sea. It was very clean and comfortable and with tea & coffee making facilities and a kitchen hob & sink. Indeed, the selection of teas was generous. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was provided in a cafe two minutes away and was barely adequate, one coffee, one glass of juice and one pastry. Alternatively, the owners would order in food and you could prepare your own on the kitchen hob. The WiFi signal was weak in the main living area.

The location is fantastic - just in between the main attraction sights, beaches and restaurants. The building is amazing and it was lovely to use the balcony to enjoy the livable street during evenings. The premises looked even better and more spacious than in the pictures and there was provided a comfortable crib for a baby. The apartment was cleaned up every day, towels changed and new coffee provided, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The host was very friendly and approachable and also let us check in earlier than officially stated.

RarityArt Minihotel is a lovely small boutique lodging in a wonderful location in Salerno along the waterfront. It is within walking distance from the train station, ferry station (that takes you to the towns of the Amalfi coast) and the downtown shopping and restaurant area. It is beautifully decorated with art themed rooms and original art. Mossimo was very attentive to our needs (we were traveling w a family group of 3 couples and a toddler), providing a baby bed and extra coffee. He helped us locate local sites of interest as well. After Covid the proprietors have chosen not to offer breakfast in house but instead give you a voucher to a lovely coffee/pastry shop just around the corner. The espresso and cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice and croissants were a highlight of our day :-)

It should be noted that it is located on the 2nd floor (1st floor in European countries) in an historic bldg. and you may need to carry your luggage up the stairs depending on the status of the "vintage" elevator. Also, the bldg. has been undergoing some kind of renovations and there is scaffolding along the exterior and the entry area. It doesn't affect the lodging at all.

The most convenient location - everything is within walking distance. The train station is around the corner, from where all buses depart in all directions. Spacious apartment, with a kitchen with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Above all, the friendly managers who run the place - are ready to help and advise you on any request you may have. We will definitely be back to explore the famous Amalfi Coast and the surrounding area.

The hotel is very cozy and has a great location. The room looks exactly as it is on website. The receptionist was very friendly and useful helping us booking taxi and showing important places to visit. He recommended us a pizza place which was the best we had ever eaten. You can find grocery market, designer brands and services near the hotel just by few mins. walk. Salerno is less touristy destination therefore it is very safe. During night you can have a romantic walk through tiny alleys. Beach is literally in front of your hotel which is ideal for a morning walk and exercise.

Unfortunately the breakfast was quite simple. The variety of food selection was limited to croissants and few pizza breads. Breakfasts are not served directly at your hotel. You will get a breakfast voucher to go to the restaurant which is 15 meters from your hotel. As our group booked 2 rooms and both bathrooms had a weird smell. We even left the air system running but the smell didn't go away. During our stay the whole building was under construction so some room balconies were covered up by scaffolding.

Beside having a nice stay at RarityArt, we met Massimo at the door. He is the nicest person ever! He gave us many tips and marked places on the map. He even showed us where and how to book the tickets. I am very happy that we listened to him and visited the places he suggested. That was one of the best experiences specially taking the boat to Amalfi, and having dinner in a very classy sea food restaurant. RarityArt gave us tickets for breakfast so we could go to a bar restaurant nearby. I personally am very picky with sweets and cakes, but the freshness and taste of pastry was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there. After a long day, the nicest thing is to feel home and safe which RarityArt guaranteed the feeling!

I don't like Booking.com

Everything was PERFECT! The staff was so hospitable and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, nearby attractions and excursions to the Amalfi Coast! The room we booked is a small suit with kitchen and equipped with all necessary kichenete, fridge, etc- a great thing for a late dinner or lunch. Breakfast is at Casa Caldarelli Pasticceria and we really enjoyed the wonderful coffee, croissants and other sweets- a real taste of Italy! The location of the hotel is wonderful - the center of Salerno and everything is less than a 10 minute walk away. Salerno train station is a 15 minute walk away. Conclusion: We will gladly come back and can only recommend the hotel! ❤️

The hotel, the location and the staff are exceptional. You can feel the passion of the owner in every corner. The rooms are properly cleaned everyday. One of our best hotel experiences ever!

The only downside is that the breakfast is at a different location (bar) where nobody speaks English at all. Google says they open at 6:30am but they were closed when we went there at around 7am. Not a big deal, just don't expect to get a breakfast the day when you go to Capri, since the ferry leaves very early.
