We stayed in the apartment down the road from the main residence and were extremely happy with it. We appreciated the spaciousness, the quiet rustic setting, the outdoor sounds, and the full kitchen facilities, not that we would cook but we could make coffee and store food. There is a pub near the apartment that closes at 9pm and we did not hear any noise. We were a short drive to the main residence for breakfast which was ample with great coffee. The restaurant was closed but Roberto suggested 2 excellent spots about a 10' drive up the hill. This is a lovely spot to relax and inhale nature for a few days (there are excellent walks on the property) or a respite from the bustle of Bologna, which was only 30' drive away. Highly recommended.

This is our first agroturismo visit and it will not be our last. Rio Verde is nested in a beautiful lusciously green setting. There are tables outside and inside the location to serve one’s meals, the sound of the crickets took me back to my childhood, everything is done with great taste and respecting the environment. The food was outstanding, the freshest vegetables I have ever eaten and right from Rio Verde’s garden, great and tender pasteurized meat, organic cheeses so fresh, we had to request they sell us some to take with us. The rooms were very comfortable and the wifi was very strong. The best part of all this beauty was the service, Paqui whom we met the first day went out of his way to ensure our meal met our expectations, and he was also very friendly. Roberto the owner a very knowledgeable person of the hospitality business was extremely friendly and ensure we were served professionally and that our stay was pleasurable. We will highly recommend this great place to everyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing stay full of great fresh meals, and excellent personal service. We will definitely be back to Rio Verde. 🥰

Everything was perfect

The location, the setting, the room, the general atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. Roberto and his staff could not have been more helpful. Far enough from Bologna to be in a beautiful rural setting, with access to some wonderful countryside, the property was within very easy reach of main roads or the train in to Bologna, where a quick and inexpensive return journey ( 25 minutes) could be found. Breakfast was excellent.

Nothing to my mind. The location, premises and staff were all exceptional. We will certainly return and can only hope for better weather. The weather proved to be extreme and a disaster for many living in the area and we hope that they recover quickly.

The farm stay was amazing. The setting was beautiful, the room was very clean and just what we needed after a long walk along the Via Degli Dei. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to have drinks that evening outside and even though the restaurant was closed that evening, the owner organised a pizza delivery for us. They also gave another option of a restaurant down the road if we wanted. Would highly recommend.

It's a little detour from the Via Degli Dei route, c.40mins walking, but we chose to stay here because of how lovely it looked and the reviews.

Agriturismo Rio Verde is the perfect place to be if you are travelling by car as it has a great parking and it’s location is also close enough to Sasso Marconi and Bologna. Roberto is very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Roberto help us to self-checkin and prepare the dinner when we arrived in the night. Highly recommend when you want to stay in Sasso Marconi or Bologna . The farm is so beautiful, the breakfast is so delicous and rich. The room is so clean, comfortable and warm. Every thing is perfect well beyond our expectations.

We had a lovely stay at Rio Verde despite some unfortunate weather in the region at the time. Roberto was an excellent host and always made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the breakfast a delight.

The only surprise was that the restaurant on the property is not open every day. Fortunately, Roberto was more than happy to help us order from nearby restaurants. Perhaps just something to bear in mind for those who are not traveling with a car.

Our appartment was a few minutes drive from the main property. It is charming with a lot of eye for details. Everything was clean and in good order. The family that runs the place were generous. They also grow food and cook ( breakfast was excellent). The terrain itself is great for hikes with children. And there was a country pub and beer brewery right next door. (Nice to have the option, no noise to speak of). Recommended!

this was without a doubt the best property we stayed at on our 12 day trip. Roberto had all the great places at his fingertips. whatever you want to see in the area, he can tell you where to find it. we loved our balsamic vinegar tour and the cheese. 25 year balsamic is more candy than I ever thought possible and the goat ans sheep cheeses, just yummy. The property and accommodation are like a little paradise. A restaurant is part of the property that rivals Massimo Bottura‘s signature dish at Cavallino. The restaurant does not disturb at all and adds to the true Italian character. Roberto is proud of his produce and makes sure to offer only the best quality at a price that makes your wallet happy. we had one of our best meals, if you have a chance to eat there, make sure you do so. Breakfast is home made and typical Italian, plus some homemade bread, jam, fruit and cereal. The rooms are super comfortable and offer tea, coffee facilities and a fridge. Beds are super comfy and the shower has really good pressure. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters. all in all we were extremely happy during our 4 day stay. we hope to come back again.

Agriturismo Rio Verde is located in a nice rural area, the owner is very helpful, friendly and speaking perfectly English, the breakfast is just gorgeous. The room which we had was spacious and very convenient. The accommodation is particularly family friendly. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed hiking in the close neighborhood as well as around Monte Adone (spectacular views). Highly recommended.

The room was very spacious with a little fridge and even a kettle and everything you need for making tea. Impeccable clean and with cable TV despite being in a remote location. The host was very nice and accomodating. He was happy to let us use the microwave because the restaurant was closed and other than a pizza delivery there is nothing to eat around.

I was a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast. I think because it was so appraised in the reviews I expected more. There were a couple of home made cakes, good coffee and not much fruit. However, I was offered to take a piece of cake with me for the road so nothing to complain on terms of hospitality.
