Wonderful welcome, great clear instructions . Marta was so lovely and so helpful It was beautifully stylish accommodation and comfortable beds, fabulous shower and lots of towels. Furnishings were quite wonderful . Weather was cold and so sadly breakfast was not served on the terrace on the top floor but it was open and was amazing! What a view - incredible Location great for walking into the lovely Sulmona- a really lovely place with great restaurants and bars and full of very friendly folk! Market on a Thursday. All wonderful - shame we were only there for 2 days . We will return!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room, team, breakfast, location, views--everything! Marta and her team clearly want their guests to have the best experience possible, making themselves available whenever you need it. They're happy to share their recommendations, assist with your breakfast (there's a wide variety of options!), and clean your beautifully decorated room by the time you're finished with breakfast. It was a truly beautiful property! Very authentic, yet updated with all amenities! Marta, the host and owner, was absolutely amazing! She made us the most delicious breakfast, with fresh pastries, fresh fruit, local meats and cheeses and scrambled eggs and cappuccinos! She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! She even placed a call for us to the city hall in a local town to help us with our genealogical search! Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer! We truly plan to return to the beautiful city of Sulmona and we look forward to staying at Marta’s wonderful B & B again! Thank you so much, Marta!

Absolutely no negatives! It was absolutely wonderful!

Beautiful room in traditional Sulmonese style (with modern comforts), great location, best views of Sulmona from the roof terrace. We were welcomed warmly by everyone. Inside the room, every need you could have was thoughtfully provided for. When searching for lodgings in Italy, a lot of the results that come up look like glorified AirBnBs, and you’re not always sure what you’ll get. Rest assured, this is a hospitality business run by professionals who will make your stay in Sulmona even more beautiful than you imagined.

Breakfast was wonderful, rooftop was amazing, rooms and bathrooms were so clean -absolutely spotless. The location was great. It was quiet but still so close and easy to walk everywhere. The host was fantastic and thought of our needs ahead of our arrival and checked in to make sure everything was good. Also easyto reach if anything needed . The property was unique and was the best place we stayed on our entire 18 day trip to Italy!

Nothing that we didn’t like and would love to return in the future

The view from the rooftop terrace was one of the most enchanted views in Abruzzo. Marta shared with us how welcoming guests with an incredible breakfast was one of the reasons that she loves running her B&B. Our room was large, perfectly appointed and very tastefully decorated. I truly appreciated the lovely and on-point artwork around the home. The cleanliness of the entire home was the best that we experienced during a month of travel in Italy. I would not stay anywhere else in Sulmona or the surrounding area and would highly recommend Marta’s B&B.

Everything was lovely.

This is a lovely place to stay and in an excellent location in the centre of Sulmona, but always quiet. Marta is an exceptional host and very helpful. We had a wide choice of breakfast, which we enjoyed very much. We arrived in cold weather and our room was not warm but Marta immediately fixed it and kept checking with us that we were happy. I would love to stay here in the summer and take advantage of the rooftop facilities.

We stayed for two nights and really wished that we could have stayed longer. It was a little tricky to find but the hostess sends very good directions before your arrival. We came in by train and walked into town, about a mile. Our room was beautifully decorated, and we also had access to a sitting room on the other side of the hall. The breakfast on the rooftop was delicious, and the view was amazing. I can't think of anything that could have been improved upon. I hope that we will be able to return someday.

What a spectacular B&B! This charming, historic building has gorgeous rooms and an unbelievable view of the surrounding mountains from the rooftop terrace. It is within easy walking distance of all the main sights and great restaurants in Sulmona. Marta is an amazing host and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Just before our stay I injured my knee and was unable to climb stairs. Marta very kindly changed our room to a ground floor room and gave us delicious breakfast in the courtyard instead of the roof. She makes luscious scrambled eggs. Her assistant Mariana was also enormously helpful and kind. There is free public public parking a short distance away. Sulmona is a lovely town and is within easy driving distance of lots of interesting places. It makes a great base for exploring the region.
