The suite was very comfortable, clean and exactly as pictured. House keeping was daily and the staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating- speaking just enough English to assist me when necessary and allowing for a later check in after some travel issues, which I was very grateful for. The hotel is only around a 15 minute walk from the centre of Taormina but it is a steep incline and quite a few steps coming back to the hotel, so be prepared for this. It may not be an ideal location for older people without a car or travellers who don’t want to break a sweat on the way home (you are quite high up the hill). However, this was not a problem for me, so this did not affect my stay. The breakfast was also nice, albeit not abundant with choices, but the view from the lobby is an exceptional panoramic view of the town and Mount Etna which is a nice way to start your day.

If I had to nitpick, the WiFi at the property was not great and I actually could only connect to it on one side of the room. The private terrace is also not super private as other guests walk by regularly and can see into the terrace, as well as those staying in the rooms above. However, these were very small issues and my overall stay at Villa Greta was perfect.

Very nice stay worth recommendation! I would pick this place once again :) view from the room was spectacular! Room comfortable as well as bed. All staff very kind and helpful. Restaurant very good, tasty with decent prices - perfect if You are to tired to move to the city again!

Smell in the bathroom wasn't nice - I think it was because of the old pipes and be prepared that Wi-Fi is not working perfectly (in the upper rooms at all - only at the balcony) - but with this view who cares :)

The view is amazing, with the balcony off the bedroom it was nice to just sit and take in the view. The room itself was lovely, as were the other rooms (we had a look around at check out). The staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The discount for beds and umbrella at Naxos beach was an added bonus. The walk to the town was not bad (wear comfy shoes!!) Room was clean and smelt gorgeous. A really nice family feel, rather than a huge hotel.

Bathroom was a little bit uncomfortable and sometimes smells from the drains, but it's only a small problem when everything else was perfect.

View of Mount Etna from our large bedroom windows. Very clean. (Also worth nothing that they have done upgrades to the rooms, including lighting. Some earlier comments mentioned it been dreary but our room had good lighting.)

The smell of the diffuser sticks were overbearing, we had to place them outside the room for the duration of the stay. And one of the days after the room was cleaned we’re not sure if they spilt or sprayed something but the smell again was overbearing.

We had the most amazing stay at Villa Greta, I cannot rate the staff highly enough. On our second night, I locked myself out of my room, the hotel staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to resolve this for me. The views are unreal, worth the 10 minute uphill walk any day. The cappuccinos were perfect, beds so comfortable. We feel so lucky to have had this experience. Thank you Villa Greta ! Grazie mille

The view of Etna from windowds and terraces is magnificent. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we had in Sicily. They have a proper kitchen and they serve a very nice continental breakfast (scrambled eggs, cucambers, tomatoes, grilled vegetables, cheese, ham....) along with the typical Italian. The room was very clean with a spacious bathroom. It takes about 15 minutes to the centre of the town (up the stairs on return), but it's a nice walk. The view from the rooms, dining room and the terrace is worth all the walking.

The beds (matrasses) are a bit worn out and could be renewed. There are endless stairs in the hotel, but the whole Taormina is about stairs :)

Astonishing view on both, Etna and the ocean as well as the city as located close to the top of the mountain; however, only 5-10 minutes of walking to the center. Clean and comparably luxurious rooms. Welcoming, friendly and professional personnel as well as lovely breakfast. When we visit Taormina the next time, for sure we will stay in Hotel Villa Greta again! 10/10, highly recommend; make sure to enjoy the sunset at least once from the balcony and once from Chiesa Madonna della Rocca (c.10 minutes walk from the hotel)

There was a guy at the reception (which is really hard to find in that maze) who was really friendly, spoke good english and helped us in everything. The view was fantastic! We slept once in a regular room and once in a superior room and to be honest we liked the regular one better. The superior room is on a higher level, that's all, but had smaller bathroom and table (which you can use to put your stuff on). The hotel is next to an Interbus stop which comes in handy if you plan to visit Castelmola.

The walls are paper thin or just have very bad noise reduction but the place is really noisy. It didn't bother us that much but if it is a problem for you then this place is not for you. Neither room has power outlets next to the bed which would have been nice. The breakfast buffet is really strange, everything is there but one of the staff serves you. Basically you hand over your plate and tell her/him what you want.

Terrace is beautiful with incredible views! Staff were friendly and attentive.

No issues. One thing to consider for some that may not be Able, the property is about 10-15 minutes walk from Taormina which is all hills and steps, we are young and fit so it was fine for us. Just something to consider for some if they are not able, taxis are also dear in Taormina.

Wonderful view! Very helpful staff. Good e-mail communication beforehand. Charming and a bit of old-fashioned atmosphere.

I added breakfast but it was not so impressive, no pancakes despite it being listed. All super sweet and not so tasty. No visible gluten free options except cheese, ham and fruit salad (not needing it for myself though). I had to walk up and down four stairs to park my car at a prebooked parking area, and make turns at the serpentine road with intense traffic. Had preferred an instruction where to stop to unload directly, instead of waiting for instructions and keys.
