The staff went out of their way to make my stay amazing. They treated me better than I’ve ever been treated at a hotel, and I’ve traveled all over the world. When I checked in, the woman at the desk walked me all the way to my room to show me everything. That evening, the woman at the desk called to help me find a restaurant that was open late for dinner. The next morning I asked how late breakfast was open as I was on my way to the spa. It was closing soon, so they insisted on delivering it to my room! They were exceedingly accommodating. When I checked out, the man actually walked me all the way out to show me where to catch the bus. The staff were truly exceptional and made me feel so cared for. On top of that, the spa was just incredible! Beautiful pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room, massage tables … it was endless. I felt so relaxed by the end of it! I will definitely come back.

More vegan options at breakfast would be nice, but everything else was amazing and they actually still had a lot compared to most places!

A beautiful old hotel, with large dining halls and nice rooms - i.e. real wooden floors instead of vinyl or tiles. The room is stylish and cosy, large enough and with a nice balcony towards the large garden. A good choice, if you want to spend a night outside, visit the restaurant on site and do not expect to go downtown Trento.

The hotel is really far away from the city - you wind up the hills for quite a time, something like seven kilometers, and still you hear the nearby autobahn from the lush garden. Spa and all wellness is all extra.

I stay at this hotel at least once a year, often more than that. It used to be amazing value. All good things come to an end and this is not the case any longer but, all considered, this remains one of the very top options for a 4* hotel in Trento. I like the manager a lot, and I just love the personnel at breakfast. At breakfast I also love the strudel and the cakes and the fresh scrambled eggs...

The main problem with Villa Madruzzo remains their attempt to reconcile large numbers (especially the external guests for dinner) with the style and quality expected of this type of hotel. The noise and the chaos that the large groups of people sometimes cause in the evenings and nights clash with the rather idyllic and stylish setting.

The location is really nice, close to Trento, Pergine and few mountain lakes. Great restaurant with outside serving and access to spa facilities (paying). The staff was really nice especially in the restaurant. Ample parking facilities with possibility to charge electric cars.

The room (in the old building)was nice and clean but we didn’t like the shower in the bathtub and the bed was pretty stiff and uncomfortable. The air conditioning was blowing cold air to our neck without any possibility to adjust the direction. The pillows were also too high and stiff but after asking the staff we got two better ones.

This is an original papal villa, although you would be hard pressed to spot it. Most of the original features are missing from inside and a restaurant has been built around three sides of the building on the outside. It's also painted in a horrible colour combination of maroon and yellow which I think is traditional but is carried through into the interiors. However, there's a very nice modern bedroom block that has been built in front of the villa and overlooks the mountains across the valley. The rooms here are nicely equipped with balconies which overlook the view. The fitness room is well equipped and free. The three days we stayed there, the weather was very wet so we didn't have much opportunity to enjoy the nice outdoor spaces. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and several coffee machines. The big surprise was the dinner. Although the dining room is tragic in terms of decor, the food was first class and very good value. They also had wines in the half bottle, which we have found quite unusual in this area of Italy and very welcome when one of us drinks red and the other white!

There is an indoor swimming pool which you have to pay extra money for and means you are unable to use the outdoor sunbeds unless you pay. It's on the hillside above Trento so you have to drive into town down narrow, winding roads if you want to eat out.

We recently stayed at Hotel Villa Madruzzo and I must say it was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and pampered. Our private apartment was spacious and luxuriously appointed with a beautiful terrace complete with hot tub and sauna. Awaiting us on the terrace was a bottle of Prosecco and a plate of fruit, a lovely touch that we appreciated. The views from the hotel were breathtaking, with panoramic mountain views that we never tired of. The room was decorated with an eye for detail and with all the latest modern conveniences. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with a selection of both hot and cold dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful and always went out of their way to meet our needs. Overall, our stay at Hotel Villa Madruzzo was unforgettable. If you are looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway with stunning views and impeccable service, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back!

The hotel lies beautifully in the landscape and is well cared for. The room was very pleasant with everything needed and a nice balcony. The staff were most attentive, also in the garden restaurant where we had a nice meal. Breakfast was very good. There are always more than enough staff around to cater to guests needs. Parking is a bit of an issue as there are clearly not enough parking spaces but there was practically always someone to help guide you to an available parking space. A hotel to be recommended and enjoyed.

Madruzzo is a luxurious treat with very modest prices. The staff was amazing and very attentive. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable. Dining was exceptional with large extensive breakfasts, a cocktail bar, and indoor and outdoor dining. Views of the surrounding mountains were so beautiful. Nice to have easy parking.

Driving and parking in Trento is difficult. Madruzzo is not walkable to old town or to the train station.

I have stayed many times in this historical villa on the Trento hills, with a small but very pleasant garden and a lovely mini-arboretum. Excellent location, secluded from town but easily accessible by car - (without a car, it's slightly more complicated). The rooms are comfortable, normally quiet, and and clean. The more expensive types have a lovely view on the mountains and the valley. For me one of the favourite aspects of a stay at Villa Madruzzo is the breakfast, with several freshly home made items such as cakes and scrambled eggs, and a large assortment of other offerings. The personnel in the breakfast room is also exceptionally kind and helpful (and personnel is very good in general). Prices vary quite considerably according to the type of room - over the years I have stayed a bit everywhere. I would say that the best "belvedere" rooms in the new building are very fully priced for the area, while the more modest types are squarely in line with the quality. Overall, this is certainly one of the very top and unique options for a stay in Trento and surroundings.

In my last visit, everything was great. In general, in my opinion, the organization of parking and of "traffic" on busy nights still has ample margins for improvement :-)
