The property was no to far from the private beach I enjoy, Dr’s Cave. Just a 15 minute walk. I enjoyed being just right her across the street from Harmony park so I had a good view of the oceanfront. The rooms were clean, put together, well lit, and all the utilities ( AC, fridge, microwave, etc…) worked very well. The breakfast was a good size and very enjoyable. The staff were just so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely recommend.

I did not like the property was right next to a club of some sorts. I think it was a karaoke club. At 9pm the music would begin and would not stop until the wee hours on the morning. Very very loud. If you need a quiet place to sleep I do not recommend. But I brought earplugs so the noise didn’t bother me too much.

Breakfast was simple but did the job. Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom for the price was standard and no frills. Location across the street from a free beach and a short distance from Doctors Cave and a few buildings away from an excellent restaurant (Pork Pit).

I wish the rooms had coffee available in them. The hip strip is chock full of hustlers trying to sell you drugs, prostitutes and generally ask for money. While that’s generally not a knock against the hotel since they can’t control that, the gate guard asked me once for 5 USD for medicine. It only happened once and that is something the hotel can control. Employees shouldn’t be panhandling their guests.

As a European for breakfast you could have an English or Irish breakfast included ie bacon egg hash brown mushrooms tomato pork sausage all included as a breakfast! Instead of just giving to bacon to eggs or one hash brown and charging a dollar each extra for one egg or bacon extra etc

In food wise if people were asked had they enough? Instead of being charged for asking for what they should have got in the beginning! They would be tipping the staff more instead of thinking they were being told to do so!

Location was ideal for what I wanted. I could walk to the town of MoBay and the nearest local beach/park and local craft market. Breakfast was good, Jamaican style although North American style was available. The room was large and the bathroom was a good size. Amenities like iron and board, mini fridge, television, airco, tea and coffee were all available in the room as well as towel service and ameneties in the bathroom.

Window covering was a bit dark, however not too much of a bother as I did not spend any awake time in the room. Stairs to access hotel however this was in the description and a concierge is available at all times.

Oh! oh, the breakfast was super we enjoyed it very much, I personally looked forward every morning to go for my Jamaican breakfast. And I must say the staff were amazing and am sorry I forgot the names of the main persons that served me daily but it was really good. So a big shout out to the staff in the dinning room big up the chef. You all are doing an awesome job please keep it up because we will most definitely be back. And you all deserve a raise. Let me mentioned as well the amazing housekeepers (sorry am kinda bad with names) they are wonderful. Keep up the good work and the great service you are doing. Everyone working together as a team bring success in all areas.

The beds were smaller than I expected lol but that didn't take away from the good time we had.

Very friendly receptionist who made the check in process simple. Breakfast was great. Both the Jamaican and Continental breakfast was good. Breakfast is included in reservation. They dont have dinners services currently but will give you good options. The hotel location is very central if you need a quick nice place to stay while doing business in the area or just a cozy stay. Parking was also available on site.

No visible wheelchair access as its seems to rooms and reception are on the 1st floor and accessable by stairs from the parking lot at the front. There were thin walls so we could hear everything in the next room.

Gorgeous location , great staff (except one). Easy parking. Reception staff and waitress on first day were excellent. Great local knowledge. Security guard would help with traffic when we were leaving as it's slightly on a corner and can be hard to see traffic coming. Easy walk to free beach just across the road with stunning clear water and white sand beach.

The room is very very basic (but functional and clean!) Second day the waitress refused to serve us in the outside breakfast area as she was "working alone" but we were the only people in the whole restaurant. Also refused to bring the children's juice that came with breakfast and eventually I had to ask someone else. She was unbelievably rude and at one point hid when she saw me approaching bar to ask for a coffee refill.

I loved that there was a security guard in the parking lot and also watching the stairs to the main lobby and rooms. Everyone was really friendly and professional. The breakfast was pretty good too. Also, the location is excellent! We were able to walk 10 mins to Doctor's Cove Beach, although there were closer beaches that we walked past.

Our stay was over the New Year and there was a lot of guests at the hotel. The parking lot was full. Luckily they did have an over flow parking lot next door.

Breakfast was great you have Jamaican & Intercontinental it starts from 7am-11am. You can choose to eat inside or outside on the patio. The choice is yours.Staff was very accomodating. Big Up to Patrick that works as the Security at the front gate..You looked out for me my entire stay there. You greeted me every morning & every time u saw me.I've told my friends & the cyber world to give you a shout out wherever they visit Altamont or if pass by the Altamont to greet you & to tell them Keisha sent you. Should to the amazing ladies that works at the check in, you ladies are very accommodating & friendly. Shout out to the all the dinning room Servers & Cooks in the back. (Thank you Marcia ) To all the Staff that I came across You made my stay a very enjoyable one. I loved my stay at Altamont the location was perfect for me as it granted my access to downtown & the hip strip. BIG UP ALTAMONT HOTEL...FROM THE GUEST IN ROOM 305💞🌺

The staff was very nice. Everyone at the front desk I encounter was helpful and friendly. The location was great, close to everything. The beach across the street or Doctors Cave not too far from the hotel. Nightlife was easy to get to. I didn't really like the breakfast but was still grateful it was provided. It was still a good solid meal. Small and quaint hotel. Very clean. You do hear the music everyone talks about. I didn't find it too bad. Put on the air conditioner to drown out the noise or listen to rain sounds is what I did.

My room was very basic, not a picture on the wall. But that's small tings. However I think it will be much better with some kind of ambiance in the rooms. There is none.
