Rooms all had spacious balconies with beach views. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional each morning. On-site restaurant was very good with a well rounded menu. Steps from the ocean and a good distance from the busy main strip of Ocho Rios.

Facilities were a little old but being gradually improved since repossession. The only real issue was the mattress being springy and a bit uncomfortable.

I like to start by saying the staff crew was exceptional 👌 and the breakfast was great, my hotel room was gorgeous and the environment was very welcoming. I would definitely spend another vacation at the establishment.. Sand and Tan hotel as been the best hotel I have visited since coming to St.Ann and I most say that you guys deserve all the stars 🌟 that make you guys a great hotel.

I have no complaint... All I have to say is that the hotel is the best of the best so far.. My money was well spent.

Friendly staff, great food, big, comfortable, air conditioned room with balcony. Bed was comfortable. We slept well. It's on the beach and views were stunning. We really enjoyed our stay.. We also felt safe when we were in the hotel.

We didn't like the location. On entering, the area did not feel very welcoming and the outer building wasn't very impressive.

Staff was awesome. The room was clean. Food was hot and delicious. Beautiful view. We will be visiting Sand and Tan again.

The only thing that could be improved is the showering system.

The view and atmosphere was AMAZING.

No housekeeping...upon request asked for and received fresh towels, BUT she did not take the soiled ones. Room 205 Turned AC off and came back to mildew /mold-smelling room Air filter needs to be changed The toilet takes several times to clear tissue. and leaks. The shower had no pressure to be found at all, which probably had something to do with the leak, it was miserable The shower mixer needs replacing both for appearance and PERFORMANCE WI-FI was sketchy, I had usage with my phone but not the TV (nice time to sit out on the balcony ) I reported all my concerns to the front desk.

Breakfast options were great. Location to the beach and waves were great. Staff was great and kind. Parking felt secure. Paddleboards were available. Beach towels were available for excursions and laying out.

The bathrooms didn't meet expectations (did not exactly look like the pictures on booking.com) and could use a little updating and sprucing up. The A/C unit was connected to a motion sensor that did not detect me nor my partner during sleep, so it shut off several times and we woke up to a hot room. The big minus was we were charged $40 USD for laundry that filled one plastic bag. *TIP: always ask the price for laundry services before using them. I found it unreasonably pricey for the size of load, but it was also on us to ask instead assume it would be $20 or under (what seems more of a reasonable range).

My little paradise I was two times at this place before and they did so much renovation it is just amazing. We went with the paddle boards in the water to see the turtles who was born at the beach and still around. Every morning before breakfast we went in to the river beside the hotel to have a nice cool down. You can do so much at the hotel and pay not one cent like paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming with the turtles, paddle boarding up the river to have a nice drink at the bar beside the blue hole. And in the evening we enjoy at the beach bar in front of the hotel with good reggae music and good drinks thanks to Ingrid! Also a big huge to Deon our breakfast queen who make our breakfast perfect with any request you have. Will be back soon Love you guys

Location, location, location! This is one of the best kept hidden beach gems in Jamaica. Conveniently located in relation to the town centre and other sightseeing opportunities and activities. We even got to see the hatching of sea turtles on the hotel's beach while we there 9truly a bucket-list experience!). The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the bar/restaurant staff to the groundskeeper - everyone made us feel at home. The food at the restaurant was especially tasty, and we really appreciated the options for their complimentary breakfast (with several local plates and the more typical Western breakfast offerings). This is a wonderful option for someone that wants an authentic taste of Jamaica without breaking the bank - bonus: access to a stunning beach other big hotels could only dream of. Safe to say, we will be returning!

Only a couple minor complaints: we wish the bar stayed open later and that the TV had more channels (but realistically, when you've got that beautiful beach out there who needs a TV!).

Location says it all.. right on the beach, that view is just stunning, the river ending in the ocean, a truly magical location. Sand and Tan, incapsulated a real taste of Jamaica! With all the comfort necessary.. I Finally understood it.... The good stories I've heard, the reggea music, the vibrations ....it all made clicked once on the beach with a rumpuch. All the clichés and the bob marly and reggea songs now really make sense. "Dont worrie..about a thing" 3 little birds "Jamaica nice" , "cool nuh man" The kitchen is impressive, a wide cariety of both international and local dishes, (try the Jerk chicken of the bbq) all from there own organic farm I was told. Ingrid makes the best drinks period, tasty and dangerous. I allready miss it and will be back soon.
