If you would like to experience living in a traditional Japanese house, this would be a good choice, located in a quiet neighborhood, within walkable distance to the bus station; convenience stores are nearby. The kitchen can be used by guests at any time. Didn't get the chance to know about the staff there, but based on the intro note they post on the front desk, they are passionate about what they are doing, one staff I met on the day I left was quite friendly and helpful.

Considering this is a house instead of a hotel, there is only one restroom for each male and female and two shower rooms. Not much convenient if you use in rush hour in the morning or evening.

Definitely the STAFF! They are super friendly and welcoming. Most of them are capable in good english and willing to chat with the guest. Thanks to Natsumi, Yuji, Chaewon, Kiyoka, Mari, Yoshida san, Shion, Arisa and Erika. <3 The public area is right in front of the front entrance and super narrow which seems not enough space, but it actually has a really good atmosphere for making friends and talking to strangers. If you're a solo traveller or wanted to know new people, choose here!

No elevator, but fortunately, it's only a two floors building.

1. the staff were incredibly friendly - such lovely people! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant! 2. the kitchen is TOP equipped from top to bottom and therefore leaves nothing to be desired! 3. the beds were very comfortable and the temperature in the room was very pleasant (and not fridge temperatures as so often). In addition, all rooms were very large and there was plenty of space. 4. there is a super nice and bright common room equipped with board games, a computer and even a playstation. (This made all the rainy days more than bearable :D ) 5) It was very clean everywhere and there was a real feel-good atmosphere! 6. the location was unbeatable! Right next to the Busan station and in the near vicinity there was a large vegetable and fruit market as well as several supermarkets. We were thrilled and would definitely book it again!

Cheap and close to the Fukuoka Conference center. Within a neighborhood that was nice and quiet. I like the privacy screens and personal lamp. Showers were both great and clean.

I sleep well at night but often hearing noise from people who come back late. I’m also one of those people, so it’s hard to keep super quiet. In the end, I preplanned my stuff when I came back midday so that my luggage zipper didn’t wake anyone early in the morning or late at night. It was annoying to be woken up by someone else’s small alarm.

Nice Japanese style hostel. Good vibe, nice people

People keep drinking around the kitchen area until very late in the night. Talks can be heard from the rooms, even after midnight. I have to say that this happened to us during the weekend. So... use earplugs if you want to have a good sleep. One morning (around 5 am), I met a drunk guy sleeping in the male's toilet. He was just there, sitting and sleeping with open doors. Hahahahaha

I was amazed by the beautiful wooden style, seems it is a old wooden house~ I can see the roof design in the room~ The staff speaks English well and they are so friendly! The beds are comfortable and have everything I need ~ I enjoy my stay there!

A bit far from the Hakata Station and the city centre but you can just take the local train (like 2-3 stations), not within walking distance Cannot shower after 23:00(coz the hair dryer sounds will wake people up), if you enjoy your night out there, you may need to shower in the morning

Such a small and cosy guesthouse. The female dorm had large and comfy beds. There is a kitchen with everything you need, fridge and washer. I absolutely loved the vibe here, th3 woofen interior adds to it's charm. Staff was friendly and helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend. You will meet a mix of foreigners and Japanese travellers

Not really too bad but becahse the mixed dorm has an open gap to the kitchen after 10pm conversations in the kitchen need to b3 whispered. Which fondly reminds of school trips

Hostel is in an old japanese house. It’s very cosy and nice. The common area is not too big but enough. The room was big, with beds like pods. Each has a small shelf, light, two sockets. A small fridge and clothes rack available. The sinks are at the back of the house with separate toilets and two showers. All is clean, staff is very nice and friendly. Towels are available for a fee. Also you can use small kitchen. Tee and instant coffee are for free.

Such a cosy hostel! It felt very communal and the check in staff were friendly and helpful. They were very helpful and kept my bag while I stayed in another city for the night

The location was a little bit awkward if you wanted to go areas like Tenjin for the nightlife - it took a fair amount of time on public transport. Good for the port though!

What can I say, I had an excellent experience, I came here because a friend strongly recommended it! With a lot of personalised experience and young and enthusiastic staff members, even Yoshida-san, with a calm face, and an amiable and cute personality, I recommend everyone who visits Fukuoka to this place. Met a lot of friendly fellow travellers too :)
