Good place to stay for access to ferry terminal. Easy to get to the Tenjin area from here.

Bed was very hard as it is a wooden base with only a futon cover. Check-in process was a little sloppy. Only asked to send passport details the day before arrival, despite booking well in advance. Saw the message on the day of my arrival and sent my details over but was only given check-in instructions 25 minutes before check-in time. If my partner didn’t have data for me to hotspot her phone, we’d have been stuck outside without a way of entering the property, until we’d managed to seek WiFi from elsewhere.

Self check in is easy via booking.com messages. The hostel is small with only 5 private rooms. Small but equipped kitchen with hot plate microwave and some plates etc. bathrooms have toiletries provided. Cats are a cute touch to see as you enter and leave the hostel and the whole place has a cosy vibe. Very clean too.

No staff onsite, luggage storage outside the building, city tax should be included in the booking not paid as cash. Facility is very small so if busy you may have to wait to shower or cook.

The double room we had was large and the facilities were amazing, clean and looked new. Everything you need is there, including nicely filtered and chilled water, and a window to watch the cats in the cats shelter! There is an amazing sake bar downstairs. I think it is only open on Friday and Saturday so plan ahead of you want to go to this gem. The location of the hostel is convenient and central. A JR train to Hakata is only a 13 min walk away. I would definitely recommend this great accommodation and I will definitely go there again if I am ever back in Fukuoka!

It was convenient for a short stay. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. It is nice to have a towel, toothbrush, washing products etc available. There is a small kitchen with a small electric stove, a kettle, some water refill, and a washing machine which are helpful. We booked the small double bedroom so just be aware that the space is very small so you might struggle a bit to organize your belongings as a couple. Other than that, it was fine for the price/quality in Fukuoka.

Very close to the nearest train station and the facility is super clean. You can see cute cat through window during afternoon. [notice] You can see cute cats but you cannot cuddle them because you won’t be allowed to get in the cat room. So if you expect to enjoy cuddling fluffy balls, this is what you can’t do. I’d actually thought l could do that but obviously l couldn’t. It seems that the owner of the cat cheater has changed so that the policy has also changed accordingly.

The room was much bigger than we expected from the photos. Very clean, nice showers etc. Nice to see the kitties though we couldn't hang out with them because of pandemic restrictions. The price was exceptional.

You cannot leave your luggage before check-in/after check out, which was a problem for us because all the lockers at Hakata station were taken. Kind of out of the way but still accessible Very thin futons, we were OK but it might be uncomfortable for some people.

Check in was nice and smooth with all the indications provided by the host day before. All the amenities that they offer are really good, even laundry with soap are for free. All was very clean and the notes are very considerate for all the guest to share the space. I would recommend it and come back as well.

Spaces are not big but that's nothing new in Japan, and even though you could feel too close to stranger, there is a good organisation so it's just to be aware of that.

I'm always staying there when I'm in Fukuoka, since I really like everything about it a lot. The staff is very nice, it's very clean, you can wash and dry your clothes for free and you even help supporting cats.

It was more expensive, because there are currently apparently no hostel rooms anymore so I could only get a double room for myself, but I knew that before booking, so that's okay, of course. For some people it might be a bit far to other places, but there is a subway station nearby, so you can still get everywhere easily and fast.
