Very convenient if you're going to see Fukuyama Castle or want to be close to the station to go via bus to Tomonoura for example. There is a mall nearby, a traditional 50s, 60s type shopping quarter too, and Fukuyama Station itself has a lot of stores and restaurants, so you can get anything you need. There is also a full grocery store on the B1 floor a couple of steps from the hotel, and an Animate as well for anyone interested in Japanese manga and gamer culture.

No particular problems. Be careful, the breakfast is mainly Japanese dishes, with some Western stuff, so plan ahead if you're not that into Japanese cuisine! Also: You can choose various plus amenities on the 8th floor reception of the hotel, but the shampoo, conditioner etc. are already in your room, so don't bother scrounging for those.

Richmond breakfasts are a primary reason why we chose this hotel. They are diverse, flavorful, and interesting, since they include both traditional and modern fare. The room was one of the most spacious we've seen in Japan, and looks quite modern. We actually came to this town of many in the area near Onomichi and Kurashiki especially to stay at this hotel. The basement of the complex the hotel is part of is a supermarket that had great values for travelling on the train the next day.

Nothing comes to mind, although it is a bit strange the reception floor is so high up. Everything otherwise was good.

Big room, clean and with great AC and air purifier/humidifier which made the stay comfortable. Location was perfect for traveling since it's very close to the station. We stayed on the top floor (16) so it was quiet and we had a good night sleep before picking up some breakfast and having it in the castle park which is less than 5 min away.

The reception/lobby was very hot when we checked in and out for some reason. (The rest of the hotel was very comfortable though.)

Location is really nice and convenient. It's near the train and bus stations, supermarket, convenience store, malls and restaurant. Breakfast is Japanese and Western, it's quite good. What I like most is their free bar mainly because of the hot weather. The staff are helpful.

The bed is in a weird location in the room. Should have switched positions with the desk.

It is green, which is good. Just make sure if you want to change (or get a new teethbrush, remember to toss it away. I ran out of the toothpaste but did not get the new one.

Front desk were so nice and allowed me to store my luggage 2 dasys before check in as I cycled the shimanami kaido. Rooms were quiet and private. Awesome bed. Right next to the JR station.

Excellent hotel. I only wished there was a Richmond hotel in every Japanese city.

Be warned that the reception area is on the 8th floor.

The hotel is lovely. Very close to the JR station and a bus station as well. About a 2 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and quick to help with anything one might need.

Right in front of the station. Clean.
