This hotel is a great value. It was clean, quiet, pretty spacious and it had great wifi. The gentleman at the front desk was gracious and even allowed me to check in early. While English wasn’t his strong suit, he defintiely tried and I really appreciated it as my Japanese is not very good at all.

I’m not complaining about the location or anything, but I’m just mentioning it so others are aware of it. The hotel is located on the east side of Hikone station, while it seems all the action is on the west side of the station. It’s not really a deal breaker since you can walk to Hikone station and go up the stairs to cross the station and go down to the west side. After eating at Sushiro and going to Uniqlo, I never had a reason to stay on the east side and always found myself on the west side whether it was looking for restaursants, visiting the castle or something else. Like I said not a complaint, just something that needs to be out there.

The hotel is located right next to Hikone JR station and 15-20min walk to the Hikone Castle. We stayed here as we were cycling across Biwako lake so it was very convenient location and the hotel allows to store bicycles inside (especially good when cycling with expensive bikes). Breakfast was included in the price and we were to see the extra care the staff put in preparing the food, all freshly made and prepare fresh juices with in-season fruit (apple and pears, pumpkin and almonds milk) so that after breakfast I felt more energized to cycle :)

Perhaps price was higher than usual due to events happening that weekend + public holiday. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Comfortable and clean hotel right next to the JR station. Not too much to do around the hotel, but the main touristy area is only 10-15 walk away. Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Breakfast wasn’t as good as in the only other Comfort hotel we have stayed before (Takamatsu), but it’s still ok and we have only stayed for 2 nights. I have the impression that somehow it’s possible to book the hotel without breakfast, but there wasn’t such option when I was making my reservation.

No complaints, it’s a nice budget friendly chain.

The staff were amazing and helped me many times during my stay. The hotel was an excellent value and the location was across the street from the train station. I never heard any trains at night. I like that the hotel had a bike rack in lobby to keep my bike since I cycled around Lake Biwa.

I didn't like that the elevator always stopped on floor 2 of the lobby before it continued up to the floor you were staying or down to the ground floor to exit the hotel.

Great value. The price was cheap, but this hotel really hit the spot. I stayed at another similar, cheaper hotel soon after this one, and the cheaper price there was obvious. I really noticed the difference. Bed was medium-hard; no step up into the bathroom, just a bump in the doorway; HDMI input on the TV; bed had outlets and a book light built-in; the breakfast options, although limited, were very satisfying

The parking was difficult to figure out. There are 4 parking lots, and the 2 closest ones were full, so I had to pull over and get out of my car to look at the map.

We needed a bigger room since we had a few luggage. The hotel was full that day, but they accommodated us for a much bigger room the next day. We were very happy. This hotel is right next to the Hikone train station. It is very convenient. The staff are extraordinary!!

The room provided ample space for our family during our stay in Japan. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, making check-in a breeze. Their flexibility in allowing us to store our luggage after check-out was greatly appreciated. I look forward to returning for another stay here!

The breakfast was excellent, so this added to the value of the room. We were two adults and two children. It is difficult to find this type of deal elsewhere.

We looked forward to using the free rental cycles, but there were only two available. Hikone looks a nice place to cycle around.

The place was very clean and it exceeded my expectations overall. I'm not sure if I overlooked it when I booked the hotel, but I was delighted to find out that breakfast was included in the price. I normally don't eat in the mornings, but since the purpose of my visit was to go cycling, it was essential. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure for the shower was amazing. Oh, and the bath tub was a good size; especially since I needed to take a bath after all of the cycling. Also, there was an air purifier available at the hotel; although I didn't use it because I don't know kanji. I guess I could have used Google Translate on my phone, but I just cracked the window instead.

I don't have much to complain about, but I did think the pillow was quite flat. You never know what to expect at a hotel, but I thought the pillow would be bigger/fluffier because the hotel itself gives that impression (the overall look, feel, and quality of the hotel). With that being said, it didn't affect my sleep any and I was able to get a good night's sleep.

Location was good, right across from Hikone station and close to Hikone Castle. Breakfast was good, plenty of options.

The bikes. They were too heavy. One speed. Seats were uncomfortable and not adjustable. There was not enough air in the tyres. If there was a pump in the foyer, one could use it.
