🏨 I chose this hotel mostly for the views over Sakurajima and it did not disappoint. For the extremely fair price it was a great view, both from the room in my case and from the hot bath. Staff was great and extremely accommodating, and they seem to spoke a variety of different languages. It was possible to leave luggage for storage before checking in. The hotel is huge, and seems to be oriented to weddings or other similar events, but for a solo stay it still was a good choice. 📍 The location is not overly convenient, but there are free shuttle buses to/from JR Kagoshima-Chuo station and to Tenmonkan. Unfortunately, they have limited operation time, check the hotel for the timetable. At the time of my stay, the first bus from the hotel left only at 8-30, not early, and the first bus from the station left only at 13-00. There are however very convenient city buses, especially no. 16 that connect both to JR Kagoshima-Chuo and to the ferry terminal / aquarium. On the positive side — there's a large convenience store just outside the hotel. There's also even a souvenir shop at the premise of the hotel. 🚪 The room was big, and as mentioned, with a great view of Sakurajima from the balcony in my case. The noise isolation was great. There even was a radio built in the bedside table with options of spoken word and background music. 🛀🏽 The bathtub in the bathroom was of a very good size to be actually used as a bathtub. 🍱 Breakfast was exceptional, a huge buffet with a tremendous variety of options rarely seen in such amount elsewhere. 🛜 Wi-fi worked well in the room and in the common area. ♨️ There's a common hot bath with a great view over Sakurajima (obviously the view is there when it's not dark). It's a nice bath, not very crowded. There are small lockers for items like keys and phones.

🧺 Because it's more of a vacation hotel rather than a business hotel there is no coin laundry. 📍 Note that the location is not overly convenient (outlined the location in the positives, however)

Wonderful hotel with a very nice ambiente, friendly staff and stunning views of the Sakurajima volcano. Everything was great, the spa/onsen was awesome and there was even a free shuttle bus to the train station. The location is good to explore Kagoshima with a bus stop, a convenience store and a really good restaurant next to the hotel (although sometimes a taxi is needed to get around). The Hotel also has a neat small store itself with souvenirs and necessities. We would always come back and can only recommend the place.

I took so many photos from the balcony of this hotel. Because the volcano is right there in front of you and if you wake up early enough you can even see the sunrise from over the volcano. The hotel is right next to a lot of shops and shopping malls. There are plenty of dinner options. If I stayed in Kagoshima again, I would certainly consider this hotel as a good option.

I had to ask for help with the fridge. It was not on, apparently a switch needed to be turned on to start it, but I couldn't find it, even after removing the little fridge from its hideaway cabinet (I don't like those hideaway cabinets hotels use either). In the end I had to tell them to please turn the fridge on, we didn't have time to deal with it, it was 2pm and we hadn't had lunch yet. The fridge was working when we returned, so not a big problem.

Every room has a nice view of Sakurajima (as does the public bath). This is a great location if you want a nice in-hotel onsen with good views. The bath was especially soothing after active days walking around town. We really enjoyed having hotpot at the hotel's Shichisai restaurant.

While it's a great location for the view, it's not as great a location for convenient access to the nearest train stations. There is a free shuttle bus, but the earliest buses aren't until the afternoon. (The hotel is close to a bus stop with a few convenient routes.)

The lobby looks refurbished and the staff can speak different languages.

The location is far away from the city center, although there are the hotel shuttle buses to take you there. It’s not convenient if you would like to make the most of your time while traveling. The room service including the massage treatments; however, you will need to reserve earlier to ensure you won’t get depressed as the therapists have the schedule conflicts.

They had a great French hotel employee. He showed me the room and gave a superb service in general. I could asked him everything about the hotel and Kagoshima (and did a lot). The view from the hotel Onsen was amazing and I found out the hotel was also known for that by local people. Breakfast was western style and Japanese. Everything fresh and very good. Biggest plus: every hour there is a free shuttle service bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Chuo station. I used it every day.

Love waking up to seeing Sakurajima. The waterfront is a short walk away. Shops (like Uniqlo) and restaurants (cheap BBQ meat) across the road. Most importantly great staff like Hoang, a Vietnamese staff who spoke English and took very good care of us.

(I don’t think the website should encourage guests to think of negative things- maybe they don’t really mind but with the prompting - it makes that complaint sound more serious than it should be)

I got the free shuttle from Kagoshima Chuo station and had an easy check-in. The rooms are a little small but comfortable. The wifi worked well for my business needs. The onsen is clean, and I wish I had caught the view during the day. The area around the hotel isn't the most pedestrian-friendly, but there's a mall and a conbini across the street and a Starbucks around the corner. The staff were extremely friendly, and I hope to stay at this hotel again.

It was my greatest stay during my 4weeks of travel. The breakfast was exceptional with lots of vegan options (they even had a fruit bar). It could be improved by added information which cooked items are vegetarian since fish is not an allergen. The onsen facilities were so great,I wish I could have stayed another night!

The room seemed a bit old but honestly everything else was so great that I did not mind. My fridge was unplugged,so my food was not eat able the next day. Maybe take care to check it.

Loved the panoramic spa on 13th floor. Location was good for my purpose: quite near ferry terminal. Sakurajima volcano was a short walk from the hotel. The staff was reslly friendly and helpful.

At breakfast time it was crowded so I had to wait approx 20 minutes before receiving a place. But that was a minor factor and the staff called me to my room as I had to pack to get to ferry on time.
