The Staff was very friendly and kind. Because it was getting cold these days, I asked for a blanket and few towels and it was no problem. The Hotel is a bit far from the Subway but it’s no problem because the access with busses is very good. If walking is no problem for you, it’s just about 2~3km to the City center, or Museums in Okazaki. It is an old building (like a student flat from the 80’s) but the renovation is nice and clean. They even have double windows so the noice from the street side is not so loud. But if you are high sensitive with noises, earplugs or noisecanceling headphones might help you. Unlike in a Hotel, the walls are not soundproof. It is also very convenient that you can leave your luggage before check in time. And , the wifi was very good.

Great location, even though about 30 min from Kyoto Station, but still closed to all amenities such as supermarket, convenient store, great restaurants and other bus station and metro stations that can lead you to all major tourist locations. Room for a family of 3 kids is big enough with a small kitchen, big fridge and microwave. It also provides a laundry room which we can wash clothes and a clean shower room which I loved the spacing.

Wifi didn't work at the beginning but when informed to the front desk, they immediately rectify the situation by asking us to connect to another wifi. Speed isn't the greatest though but usable.

Really good value, spacious room with fridge/desk. Small balcony, albeit looking at nothing other than someone's apartment. Convenience stores and bus stops very nearby. Powerful aircon that doesn't make much noise.

Wifi was not reliable in my room, I frequently had to reset the modem in order for it to work. The walls are quite thin.

Location is good, There’s one bus station nearby, like walking for 2 mins, 7-11 is also very near, room is clean, price is nice.

Two nights is a little bit noisy bcuz other people talking in the hallway, bathroom is small but acceptable. Only few restaurants around, little hard to find sth. to eat at night.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Comfy amenities and had more than I expected such as a personal mini-fridge if you need to store cold water. Also had sufficient toiletries & even a hair dryer. Great location near bus stop, near konbini, and near attractions like Nijo-jo and Kyoto Imperial Palace. Kyoto University not far off as well. A perfect stay and worth the price.

The lighting in my room--would have preferred if there was a lamp by the bed with a warm-coloured bulb (not a fluorescent bulb) for nighttime, but this is a minor point

Comfy soft bed. Shower was hot and there was good pressure (need to adjust temp on wall panel in bedroom next to window. Cold fridge. Balcony was pointless, too cold to go out there, and can't smoke on balcony anyway. Aircon worked well.

Bathroom and room was very small. But compared to other hotels in kyoto, for the similar price, it was on par.

Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious enough room and nice bed for the price range. Free usage of normal bicycles and cheap electric one rental. Refrigerator, electric kettle and hangers included in the room.

The bathroom is a unit bath, so it's a little cramped but it was OK considering the price. Location is not bad, and since they lend bicycles it was OK as well.

Clean and comfortable room with an ensuite. Staff were very friendly. There is a small communal space with free tea, and a microwave and kettle to use. Ensuite had free shampoo/body wash and the hotel is able to provide you with other amenities.

Not in the most ideal location for seeing Kyoto's main attractions. But the subway system works well to overcome this!

The host was extremely helpful and very organized. We arrived very early in the morning way before check in time and the host was happy to check us in and store our luggage until 3p. The lobby area of the facility offered a shared computer, microwave, plates, tea, and even utensils. The balconies were nice to get fresh air. Would stay again.

biggest room we had in Japan, old but functional, the stuff spoke very good English, simple check-in

if you sleep with a white noise machine this is for you, if not, you'll be awake for most of the night. The toilet is a simple one without any washing options, they don't have toilet brushes, we haven't seen one anywhere in Japan.
