Great luxury hotel, about 15 minutes walking to both Imabari Castle and Imabari train station. Great staff. Very Quiet, if your neighbors are quiet, not so if they are from a country where yelling in the hallways is normal. Great beds in a big twin room, smoke free building. Really great breakfast selections, nice warm heating. We stayed here for three nights, it was a real treat for the bargain price in the annex, you just have to walk a bit down the hallway to your room. Go try the great FunTable store for high quality conbini food, one block from the hotel, just after the Udon restaurant, before Uniqlo. Taxi to the hotel from the JR station is only 660 yen.

No room air filter unfortunately. Pillows were comfortable but made my nose become congested.

Beautiful hotel that makes you feel like you are transported back in time. Very comfortable room, lots of space, and very good breakfast with dining room looking out to a beautiful garden. The onsen is beautiful with both an outdoor onsen and a sauna and cold pool. Imabari is a very cute town with a nice castle and several very cute cafes, we enjoyed exploring it for a day after completing the Shimanami Kaido and this hotel is in a very convenient location—we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Impressive old hotel, very grand lobby and entranceway. All staff naturally incredibly polite and helpful. Very good breakfast in a large banquet hall, wide variety and all good quality. Room was incredibly large and clean, with beautiful view of the city and the sea from the higher floors. Very convenient large parking lot right outside. Shopping mall on ground floor with some nice shops for souvenirs etc. Short walk to Imabari Castle through a peaceful neighbourhood.

Room decor is slightly dated, feels a little early-to-mid 90s. Bathroom was a little dark and could do with an upgrade. Prices of restaurants in the hotel were somewhat prohibitive, although I've no doubt they were of good quality.

I enjoyed the big room and the view over the Seto Inland sea. The bathroom was well-equipped and the water pressure was good, hot water did not take long. Breakfast was both Japanese style and Western style. Location is fine, about 800m-1km walk to JR Imabari station and the bike rental shops next to it.

The toilet in my room had a bit of a weak flush, toilet paper stayed in the bowl once or twice. The mattress could have been a little softer, but it didn't impact my sleep.

I would think the grandest hotel in Imabari with an amazing garden which the lobby floor Cafe looked towards. The lobby area was huge and there were many food options within rhe hotel. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a great view of Imabari and the adjacent mountains behind the city. The price was extremely reasonable given the grandeur of the hotel. Also for those that have completed the Shimanami Keido or other outdoor activities the hotel has a lovely public hot spring to help ease the sooth aches and pains. Great stay!

The biggest room I’ve had in my three weeks in Japan. A great view of tge mountains and most importantly for myself, a view of the bridges. The Teppanyaki chef and staff were extra special as I was by myself. The beef in tge French restaurant was absolutely scrumptious. I even considered having another. Thanks for tge NY Times and Japan newspapers. My heart cries out for Ukraine.

The breakfast that should have been hot was cold. No English TV.

The staff were super helpful, respect and it was the best service in a long time. Great onsen (spa)! Great breakfast! Very fair priced.

The bed is not that great. They should get some new mattresses. The place is old and used for many years it seems. It could do with a renovation in the next years, but everything were fine. Just old and used. I wouldn’t mind staying there again (but new mattresses please!)

Hotel is about 5 minutes walk to JR station, very easy to find the way. We are cycling at Shimanami-Kaidou, the hotel is a good starting point. Hotel lobby inside has bike parking facilities. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. Onsen is big and clean. Staff at onsen are also very friendly too! Room is clean and big which have bridge view outside. Good restaurants near the hotel.

Incredibly friendly staff, great money for value. I was allowed to take my bicycle to the room for reasons of security. It is a bit old-school overall. I would stay here again. They even brought me an English language newspaper to my room in the morning.

Nothing to complain about really. I wasn’t allowed to use the public spa because of my tattoos, but that is not an issue at all.

Amazing large room with deco style maple veneered furniture and great view of bridge. It is a hotel in the grand style which seems rathe dated today……four in house restaurants and massive lobby with chandeliers….. and a shopping area. Bit of time travel.

Self service breakfast in immense ball room. Area around the property is not exciting and it’s a long way to a convenience store
