It was a lovely place to relax while cycling, amazing facilities, super clean, very comfortable, had great common areas to hangout and interact with other travellers (even had a bunch of manga to read including all of slam dunk). The staff were amazing, super accommodating and very friendly, despite arriving very wet from the rain, they helped me be comfortable and relax. The cafe downstairs is also a lovely thing to have here, I didn’t need or want to leave this place at all during the duration of my stay, I was able to meet and interact with some other lovely people there and it was overall an amazing experience. 10/10

Nothing, it was perfect

beautiful guesthouse. simple contemporary Japanese design. very comfortable beds. excellent shared bathroom facilities. great location. staff were excellent. we had a small double room 1 night and then had the family room on our 2nd night. both rooms were great. teh family room is beautiful - huge, elegant Japanese design, very comfortable beds. It also has a cafe which is funky and great food. We used this as a 2 night base during our Shiminamo Kaido bike ride and spent a full day cycling around the island. great way to stretch out the ride. our day ride on the island was incredibly peasceful. A couple of good local restuarants and a local brewery within a couple of minutes walk. Amazing temple/shrine complex just over the road.

The hostel is super clean and the interior is very stylish and comfortable! I also would recommend the cafe downstairs, we had a wonderful breakfast! Also, there are good restaurant choices within a minute's distance, we went to Kifune Restaurant and it was an incredible meal with their signature steamed fish rice!

This is great for people who do the Shimanami Kaido, it's right in the middle of the 6 islands, but the last bit to reach the hostel from the bridge is quite long and hilly, so do prepare spare time for that last ride from the east coast to west coast of Omishima Island.

We cycled the Shimanami Kaido from Imabari to Omishima and stayed for a night. The accommodation is really close to the famous Oyamazumi Shrine (the netflix show 'Let's Get Divorced' had a scene here). Lawson is right around the corner too. Not hotel related but if you're cycling, it's a good 25-minute uphill cycle, so brace yourself for it. But when you return to the "main" area where Roadside Station Tatara Shimanami Park is, then you'll enjoy the smooth ride down.

Clean and very cute hostel type stay - great place to stay if you are doing the shimanami kaido cycling. We had the double room which was very small but very comfortable. Staff were really helpful. There was also a great little bar/cafe open in the evening when we were there.

Walls and floors are quite thin/wood, can hear people move around from your room - it was fine when we were there but could be noisy if it's very busy, big groups staying.

I stayed here while cycling the Shimanami Kaido over 2 days. The accommodation is very close to the Oyamazuni Shrine (within 1-2 minutes' walk) - definitely a must-visit if you are staying here. There is also a Lawson's nearby and a bathhouse within 10-15 minutes' walk. The staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. There is an indoor hut to store bicycles. But a note of warning to cyclists, there is quite a long, steep hill to reach here which may be a bit tough for beginners.

Nothing of note.

The whole guesthouse was very clean and well-cared for. The kitchen area was small but was very well-equipped and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful - really made us feel welcome and answered all our questions. And the cafe attached to the guesthouse served good food - nice to have it available right there after a long bike ride to get there.

Nothing really - it's a great place.

A wonderful find with a comfortable and cozy bedroom. I was the only guest the night I was staying, but the common areas seemed really fun. The surrounding town itself is surprisingly lively, and I ran into the guesthouse's owner at the excellent izakaya Kitsune no Botan. :)

I can't think of anything.

A great place to stay in the middle of the shimanami kaido! An extremely comfortable room in a cool little place, with great shower facilities and communal rooms to chill out in at the end of a day. Just a one minute walk from the gorgeous Oyamazumi Shrine-- do check out its sword museum! I wish I could have spent a few more days here.

Really new and clean. Nice relaxing vibe, GREAT if you want to do Shimanami Kaido in 2 days.

The cafe is a bit too gourmet/fancy for my liking, 6usd for a tiny piece of cheese and some is not value for money for sure lol, better just buy food/drinks in the lawson.
