We loved our stay! The location is incredible with a short walk or shuttle ride to the Hakuba Goryu ski resort. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. Taki even offered to pick up our luggage at the bus stop down the street from the inn, which saved us from trying to carry and drag our luggage through the snow. We appreciated Taki also calling the bus company to locate our son's iPad that he left on the bus. He went to the bus station to pick it up for us. Just wonderful hospitality. Their food was delicious and included traditional dishes. This was our first time sleeping in a single room on the floor, but overall it was comfortable and there is also a dining area as well as a lobby seating area to relax and eat in if you prefer not to eat in your room. The onsen was also very nice after a day in the snow. They also have a wood-heated hot tub that you can reserve. Overall, Taki and his family maintained a very clean building, even requesting us to carry our luggage instead of rolling the dirty wheels on the carpet to keep the floors clean. They also asked that we wear slippers throughout the building, and bathroom slippers were provided as well. The communal bathrooms were large and clean. We never had to wait to use them and they provided plenty of sinks as well. The outside grounds were great for kids with plenty of places for them to explore. There was a kids area with a swing and tree platforms with a little zipline. Overall, if you have the opportunity to stay at Pals Inn Raicho, definitely make a reservation.

Everything was great! Breakfast was amazing. Extremely accommodating to our 2 young children (4 yrs and 10 months). Hotel was clean, quiet and a mix of traditional and modern Japanese. Shuttle from the hotel to goryu was frequent and easy to catch. Check-in was clear and concise and everything was conveyed at the time. We would definitely stay here again, as would many of the other guests whom we talked to. There is a Washer and dryer available for around 200 yen. Overall amazing stay and was our favourite of Japan.

Amazingly friendly staff and the location was perfect for skiing, the room was spotlessly clean and was spacious. we walked 10mins to the slopes each morning and had an amazing time. We would definitely stay here again, the private outside onsen was wonderful, we reserved this for an hour one evening (free of charge) it was a highlight for us. There are also some nice restaurants within walking distance, we would recommend the beer and ramen place.

If I had to choose something I would say the walls are thin but everyone was respectfully quiet at night-time was not an issue but would maybe suggest earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Fantastic & friendly hosts, the inn is immaculate and the room very spacious. Great facilities for all the snow gear and super convenient with the shuttle to Goryu Escal Plaza right at door step. I had the tonkatsu curry rice during my stay and it was delish. Would stay here again if I return to Hakuba!

Very nice hotel and impressive hospitality! Only 15min walk from Hakuba Goryu ski resort Free bus everyday to Goryu. Very special Japanese style wood burning bathpot outside, and it's amazing to have bath inside seeing the snow falling down around you.

The hotel is located very close to Goryu resort, but if you want to go to North of Hakuba valley, like Cortina station, it will take at least 1h30min...

The host was very knowledgeable and kind . Took the time to explain the area and make some good recommendations. There is a tattoo friendly onsen within 15 minute walk of the accommodation (not the one at gyro plaza) , thay was so nice. Indoor and outdoor section . We only stayed one night before heading to My Fuji area but the express bus also picked up at gyro plaza and free shuttle from the accommodation takes you right there. Will Be back !

Firstly, the owner and his family were exceptionally nice and friendly. They make sure you are well taken care of throughout your stay there. They make sure that the property is clean for our comfort. The shower and its hot tub is definitely one of the best in the area. Location is very good and walkable distance to Goryu. Definitely my first choice for ever trips to Hakuba.

They cooked delicious food to order. The clientele is young and enthusiastic. The hosts are superb and care for the guests' comfort. The host is a karate master and I enjoyed watching him teach. The prices are fair.

It is difficult to relax in the room because my legs are not used to sitting without a chair.

Super clean facility, and owner does everything to ensure your stay is clam and welcoming. Also having the choice to have dinner and breakfast at property is very convenient.

Does have house rule, but it does mean that everyone can stay quietly and respectfully.

The owner was extremely nice and informed us about many things there like good places to rent skis and where to buy cheap lift passes etc. He even picked us up from the station when we got there.
