Location: a few minutes of walk from Naha bus terminal, main bus stops, monorail stations and Kokusai-dori shopping street; 3 convenience shops around the corner. Cleanliness: all the areas in the hostel are clean. Facilities: all sorts of amenities are provided from shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste to skin care products; beds and pillows are comfortable; a huge locker is provided to store all your things; there's a coin laundry and dryer inside the locker room; the common room on 1/F is clean and comfortable. Staff: friendly and helpful

It will be better if there is more space to hang clothes.

there are many washroom and toilet available. Free toothbrush + toothpaste set, facial wash, lotion are also available. the counter staff are friendly and approachable but some may not speak fluent English. The location is good, 10min walking distance to the shopping street and less than 10min to a shopping mall. There are monorail station and bus stops nearby, and also many restaurant.

the light was not off at night in the sleeping area, thus light peak through the curtain (there are gap between the curtain holder and top part of the curtain. The floor is concrete and the heavy footstep of other guests could sometimes be heard. The locker area is a bit squeezy, you can pack your things near you bed.

I have been staying in this wonderful hostel for a long time. It is 3-4 minutes walking distance from Kokusai street and in a great location.. Also, if I talk about my thoughts about the hostel.. I feel comfortable and comfortable every day at the hostel as if I had just arrived. because all possibilities are renewed every morning! you can also speak english with Ms. Maiko at the reception. She has a good command of all the subjects in this hostel, but she is very successful in communication. Also, whatever you want from Ms. Rumi during cleaning hours in the hostel will help you. I would really like to open parenthesis to these two women and thank all their employees.

Kitchen Hostel AO has two massive dorms—a female and a male one. They were as you'd come to expect from such places, importantly for me your bed is basically a small capsule, with a shelf area, socket, lamp, hook and curtains — so privacy isn't really an issue. It was clean and nice, and the room has some seating as well, so you are not bound to your bed. The cafe downstairs was nice, you get an offer on the breakfast, and there is a small corner for hot water and (I think?) a microwave. So you can heat up some simple meals yourself. The WiFi in the hostel was excellent, allowing me to do some remote work and do meetings. The staff were also very kind and helpful :) The location was great — 10min walk from monorail stop, near konbinis and restaurants, and about 10-15min walk from the main tourist street.

There is a separate area for luggage, and while I think in theory it is a good idea, to keep the bed area tidier of suitcases and backpacks, in reality it was quite awkward, as there isn't enough space to find something in your suitcase, while allowing other people still pass you by. The lockers wouldn't probably fit a very large suitcase either, which wasn't an issue for me. The seating area downstairs closes at midnight, which was a shame, as there were still many people trying to work/use their laptops. But I did know that in advance. There is a small area before entering the dorms, but when I was staying, that area got quite crowded after midnight. The dorms are on the 1st floor accessible just by stairs, which was fine by me, but might be an issue for some.

I love how spacious the beds are and the layout of the whole female dorm. The lockers were quite a good size too. There are a lot of hairdryers available and bathroom products are available for free. The downstairs cafe area is also a nice space to sit with friends.

The bed was way too firm!!! It was very difficult to sleep comfortably because it felt like I was sleeping on hardwood floors. The cafe is also very limited with food, it’s mostly just bread. Considering there’s so many people staying at the hostel they only have two very small fridges available which were extremely full.

I liked basically everything. I was honestly blown away by how clean this place was considering the size of the place. But man, it's so nice. The cafe area downstairs is great for hanging out and studying, and they serve some good coffee and the ramen place is cool too.

Only 2 things. 1 I thought it was funny the place is called kitchen hostel but there is no kitchen for guests 😂 I think a kitchen would be a great addition. But it's okay. Also, something I found a little strange is that there is no conditioner in the showers, o my shampoo. Seems like an odd thing to me 😂

The hostel is in a great location - close to Kokusai-dori street, train station 5 minutes on foot, convenience stores are near.. The staff at the hostel are friendly. The rooms are fine, clean. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, slippers, etc. are available in the bathroom. You get a smaller towel, you have to pay extra for a bigger one.

My bed was on the top and I was uncomfortable climbing the ladder. Before arriving, I asked for a lower one, but I got a message that they might not have to grant the request, as the hostel is full. When I was there, I saw that there were some "elderly" people, which is understandable, because they gave them lower beds. Maybe a little too loud in the morning, but that's to be expected if you sleep in a hostel. :) Too strong air conditioning - that's the only thing that really bothered me. ;)

This hostel is truly excellent. The staff is lovely, attentive, and provides excellent communication while being incredibly helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for its safety, cleanliness, tidiness, and convenient location near Monorail stations, with a nearby supermarket and restaurants. For solo women travellers, this hostel offers excellent security measures for female dorms, including daily password changes. The rooms are clean, and there is always staff available, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay.

Everything was truly excellent in every aspect.

Great location, clean and nice design with a simple but decent breakfast option. Stable beds, so it didn't seem troublesome for others if you climbed up. Also, very comfortable! Enough toilets and showers at the female dormitory. And it is safe.

Tiny things: As female in the mixed dormitory, there's only one toilet without a sink to wash hands. That's what I found a bit inconvenient. So, to do that and shower, you need to change the dorms and need different codes. That's about it ^.^

Such an excellent place! Keeping in mind I was there during the off season: it was very quiet and not too busy. The women’s dorm is spacious and well-decorated with large windows that let the light in during the day. The bunks are a good size, I did not feel claustrophobic. The beds are a little firm, but still comfortable. The facilities were clean and there are a good amount of sinks, toilets, and showers. Wifi was decent (again, it wasn’t very busy). It was really nice to start the day with their toast set, and it is a great jumping off point for anywhere you want to go in Naha. The staff are very kind and helpful.

There isn’t anything I disliked! I could see perhaps the cafe might be busy during peak travel time, but I was generally able to grab a table whenever.
