The staff are nice and friendly even though they are not fluent in English, they will try their best to understand their customers. I have stayed in the hollywood twin room, it's small but very clean. (The room might not be big enough to place large luggage case opened on the floor) Onsen is the best part of this hotel For people with tattoo but want to go to the public onsen, you can ask for skin color stickers at the front desk for free. Ski Free locker for ski equipment. Though there are comments saying there is free ski shuttle bus, they DON'T offer this service anymore. For transportation in the morning, whether you have to take a bus "御料線" at Furano JR station at 8:10am, and get down at the stop "4線", and then walk around 15 minutes to the ski area, or take a taxi for 2,500 yen one-way. For those who need ski rental, you can go to the Wave rental (search K-Sports on Google map), which is 3-min walks from the hotel, and they offer shuttle bus to the ski area.

Shuttle bus to ski was cancelled after COVID, it will be great if the hotel can resume this service

We love this hotel. Rooms are clean, hotspring is great. Even have 3 free private hot spring rooms which families can use for up to 30 mins each time. Lots of free items. Morning after hotspring there are free yakult drinks, evening changed to ice lollies, hershe ice-cream with waffle, 10 pm onwards free Ramen in the restaurant for hotel guests. Washing and dryer also a plus point. Daily free pudding is a surprise too! Nearby lots of eateries. All within 3 to 5 mins walk in the snow. There is a pastry shop called shinya 5 mins walk from hotel which serves many yummy cakes and deserts. Hotel also offer discounted ski pass at yen 6000 instead of yen 6500. They also have special offers from K-Sports where you can rent ski equipment at 30% cheaper than Prince hotel with free transfer to snd from ski resort. Hence Even if you don't drive it is not a problem to travel from the shop to ski resort. Super nice staff there too! Highly recommended! Needless yo say all the free hot coffee, tea, juice and oolong tea at the lobby are super conveniently for the guests to enjoy.

I like everything! But photos of room for different categories are not very informative enough. Sometimes can be confusing. Especially 4 bed room and 2 bed room please show the floor plan instead of photo for easy understanding.

Fantastic place for 5 nights of winter here! Getting pampered by the hotel with food and onsen. Cleaning services for consecutive night stay can be requested via TV. Room is definitely spacious for me. Buffet breakfast alternates everyday, it's 2 types only. Private onsen is normally not in used after 3pm to 4:30pm, so set time aside to use it. Midnight or later, normally doesn't have anyone using it either. I woke up early morning at 4:30am just to try out the public onsen. It has both indoor and outdoor onsen. Would definitely try again on non-winter seasons. Too cold to be outside. Usually I'll recommend for winter travelers to wake up early for breakfast and head out for ski or snowboarding then come back to hotel and hit the bath early while it isn't crowded. Sleep early, wake up early for winter, that's the best routine you can easily adapt. Edit: Internet wifi is fast and the best part is laundry is free on 9F! I did my laundry and just hang it up in the room, it dries up really fast considering my clothes material are capable of drying under the heat set my the air condition. There is also free ice cup (on 3F, 6F, 9F), and orange juice / coffee / tea on first floor! Do note that each level with the vending machines, they offer different beverages. Ice cream (from 10:00~25:00) and probiotic drink (24/7) is available at 9F! Both public and private onsen operation hours are from (15:00~10:00 next day morning). There is also free ramen from (22:00~23:00)!

Nothing, what I have listed in the pros is what I have experienced for 5 nights. I'm pampered by the hotel so much that my next hotel stay in Sapporo was such a disappointment.

Comfortable stay, sizeable room, loved the beautiful private onsen which you can use without reservation (tip: you can monitor if it’s in use or vacant on the tv), lots of freebies such as ice cream (delicious!) and free ramen for supper.

Nearby parking was quickly taken up by evening, so you have to park slightly further out which may be inconvenient when it’s cold out. It was also the only hotel I stayed in which did not provide two pillows (per pax) by default. you can take an extra at the lobby, but why the added hassle?

The property was clean and tide. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a full range, western & Japanese style breakfast. The hotel was newly built (looked new at least). The Onsen was a very rewarding place after the ski slopes. There was also a massage blast chair, where a jet of water would come down from the ceiling nozzle (like a garden hose but hard flowing) and was enjoyed immensely. Never seen one in an Onsen before. Also the hotel is close to restaurants and 250m from the train station.

I think the Japanese like hard beds so if you don’t like them maybe don’t come to Japan! The more nights I had the better it got. 7km from the ski slopes it’s not quite ski in, ski out! I thought there might of been a shuttle bus running around town but as it was just after peek season it my of stopped. I believe the hotel ran a shuttle but you would need to check with them. On a bright side I found the local bus adequate in heading there and back.

The rooms very larger than usual. Great onsen and private onsen...amazing top floor outdoor panoramic view from onsen. Free coffee, tea OJ, yakult..bottled water from reception at certain times...complimentary Ice cream available from 9th flr. 10pm-11pm free ramen... Laundry was excellent...parking available offside.. not far. Staff friendly and polite.

It's better to have a car at that location to get to food or shops. No shuttle options to get on mountain early so basically you have to taxi it or self drive. They did run-out of extra pillows

The womens onsen was amazing! I used it in the evening and in the morning, the mountain views are excellent in the daylight. The room was spacious and the beds were fairly comfortable. Hotel Location is very good! The parking is just across the street from the hotel, which was convenient for me. I didn’t get to try the private baths, but they are a good idea for couples and families.

The parking being across the street might be an issue when there is heavy snow. It was fine when I was there. Also, this isn’t the hotels fault, but a young Japanese woman had her phone in the onsen and changing area and was talking on it for a very long time! Very rude. I think the staff tried to do something about it but I’m not sure as I’m not fluent in Japanese.

What a great hotel! Firstly having a hotel with an onsen in Furano is somewhat rare, but having baths outdoors perched up on top of a multi-storey buildings, offering views (from the hot pots) is truly unique. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were magnificent. If you’re on a family holiday and want to only ski at Furano, then stay in Kitanomine or at the Prince Hotel, but if you have a car and want to use Furano as a base to ski Furano as well as other Central Hokkaido ski areas, then downtown is the spot to stay. There was plenty of car parking and La Vista was well located close to lots of restaurants. It was a delightfully Japanese hotel, that despite having lots of international guests, it retained its Japanese character. This included lots of Japanese rules, including an emphasis on not going in the onsen if you have tattoos (this didn’t stop a few westerners). The room was large for a “city” hotel, modern and quite functional. Overall the hotel provided exceptional value.

Breakfast is so great. So much variety and it tastes very good. Well worth the money. For dining options, there are many restaurants in the area to choose from. The location is also great.

For clealiness, I noticed some dust under the TV set which is annoying but it's only minor detail. Room size is quite small, if you have more than 2 luggages, it will become a problem.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Would rate 20/10 if I could. Furano itself is a quiet town in the evening and has nothing much to do except eating / singing at KTV. But this hotel made it 10x better. There are private onsens, public onsens, massage chairs, free icecream, free yogurt, free ramen for supper, FREE LAUNDRY (this is a huge win)… and the list goes on. There’s even a room with shelves of epic comic books. Very amazing. Whatever the hotel falls short in terms of distance to the ski area, it made up for it in terms of its kickass facilities. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will be back again.

Nothing.
