I highly recommend this place for a group of males looking to experience Japan. I wanted a capsule hotel, and I got it, along with excellent amenities, a beautiful introduction to communal bathing, and more. The bathing facilities are very expansive; Japanese style communal washing room with a huge hot bath, and cold bath, along with a sauna. You will see a lot of naked old men, but you'll be a stronger person for it. The on-site resturaunt is great, you've got a reclining room for relaxing, a gaming corner to get drunk and blow money in, and of course, the capsules themselves. The sleeping experience wasn't great. There's zero sound insulation, the beds are very stiff, and pillows not great. But, it's still worth experiencing, and when you decide you've had enough there's a floor of dormitory style beds you can use instead. The location is solid, lots of cheap and filling restaurants, a convenience store nearby, and close to a train station. The staff are better at English than they believe, and like to supplement their spoken English with a translation app to ensure info is gotten across, which is great. Zero problems with info being miscommunicated. Overall, an austere experience, but definitely one worth experiencing. Cheap, too!

The hotel is set up for short term stays, so there's a system of having to turn in your room key whenever you leave the hotel which is surely annoying for the staff when they have to come up and take your key, then give it right back when you run out a minute down the road to grab something from the Family Mart. The capsules were also a terrible experience. If you're a light sleeper, it'll be rough. I still would recommend the hotel, regardless.

Clean, friendly staff, lots of areas to relax, fresh pair of clothes (pajamas) every day, free locker and will store large luggage in the luggage room on the first floor, spacious bath area, restaurant has delicious food and isn’t expensive, the temperature is always perfect in the lounging areas.

Can’t bring in any food or alcohol, the bed is a bit stiff till your body gets used to it, the locker room is next to the smoking room and the smoking is non-stop (can’t breathe), the capsule is a bit too warm and no way to control the temperature, the capsule room is also very quiet with the deafening silence being broken only by snoring and farting old men.

This capsule hotel proved to be a lifesaver after my previous accommodation fell through. Following a stressful journey from the airport and the hassle of losing my booking, I was finally able to enjoy a sound sleep. The hotel prides itself on providing omotenashi service, highlighting the traditional Japanese hospitality. While the majority of guests are locals, the presence of English signage and text makes it accessible to international visitors as well. The hotel retains its 80s/90s capsule vibe, offering a unique experience. If you're looking to immerse yourself in this distinct atmosphere, I highly recommend giving it a try. Plus, check in is at 2PM and check out is 2PM the next day!

It's a traditional men's sauna/capsule hotel. I wish they have private showers since I'm not used to with public bath. In short, I didn't take a shower lol.

It´s a real Japanese capsule hotel. Actually is an Onsen (japanese sauna) so you have many facilities and it´s open 24h. The price is cheap and completely fair for the accommodation. The bed is just a bed in a capsule, you can only sleep there.

some tobacco smell due to the smoking room near the dormitory

If you want to experience a proper capsule hotel as used by older men, this is the place to go. The location is nice and quiet, the staff is very helpful, and having the option to take a bath is great. The capsule itself is cozy and decently comfortable. Definitely does the job for the price!

Some places had a tobacco smell despite not being smoking zones.

The facilities were great and it was incredibly comfortable staying there. The capsules are amazing, the public bath is amazing, and if you have large luggage’s or bags you don’t need, they have a whole storage room for that. The staff are wonderful and are incredible friendly. Despite using Japanese, I can tell that the staff is incredibly thoughtful of English speaking customers and are willing to pull out a translator at any time. They are very patient and try to be as accommodating as they can. This is probably one of the best places you can go to get the Japanese capsule hotel experience.

The smell of tobacco from the smoking rooms extend out to the halls a bit but is limited to practically only walking spaces.

Receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, she even quickly googled how is Thanks in Latvian and would remember to say it every time she saw me. That was a nice surprise compared to most places just trying to use English however English is not my native tounge so this extra attention really made my day. Capsule bed was comfortable. Baths were beautiful. Restaurant staff is really nice.

Capsule felt a bit dirty being aged and having glue and whatever smudges on panels. Smoking area near lockers really made locker area smelly and unpleasant. No decent relaxation space where calls are allowed when I want to work remotely.

The staff will store your luggage for you. There are a lot of floors to explore and I liked the Sauna. Be sure to follow the etiquette. The area is quite inexpensive and they have all kinds of shops and restaurants in Koiwa.

The capsules are a little on the shorter side. Not recommended for people taller than 180cm. You have the option to sleep in the open dormitory but the leather mattresses there are not very comfortable. Also the slight smell of cigarettes might turn some people off.

The restaurant meals were great and good value for money, especially the set meals. The location is near koiwa station. The bath was very spacious and brightly lit.

There was a lot of cigarette smell but I guess it can't be helped as it's hard to get the smells out of the carpets and fabrics

Appreciated all the facilities. I checked in a bit late, but the baths and staff were clean and nice. Sleeping area was also easy and comfortable to use.

Did not like the cigarette smell that was on some of the rooms, including the leisure area and hallways.
