very comfortable lodge near aoto station, as its near to warter front good location for walk and jog by river and should b nicer at sakura season with my jogging wear, kitchen is available for small and quick bites and nice hangout place with morning coeffee and thosts we enjoyed, many nationality of friends we met, its the most hidden affordable place at tokyo near to skytree, quiet and cozy and very private, many thanks to the cool house owner Mr J, it was really a pleasure to met you and new friends from.US, Canada and FR, and Taiwan, somehow all of them are artists and handdsome dudes, we all like ramen was laugh oh do not forget, the hotsping so called sento is near to station and also yummy udon.and affordable sushi at elm shopping ARCADE its a good place to detox travel days and enjoy local japan life to soothes before you fly back to your country,

Location. You need to walk around 900 meter from Aoto station(this is directly connected to Narita airport). During this walk you also need to climb up & climb down the stairs to cross the river bridge . So if you are coming with heavy luggage then you should better take taxi (around 800 yen) from Aoto station.

For the cheapest hostel in Tokyo i think it is a really good accomodation. The share bedrooms are clean and with lockers. The bathrooms have hot shower. There is an equiped kitchen and an outside space to eat or smoke. The location is not central, but in 45min by subway you will be at the center. One should not forget that subway in japan is really good and always on time, therefore, the location is not a problem. Also, the host was really fast answering any doubt that i had.

I doubt you will find a cheaper place of this quality to spend your night in Tokyo. Beds were comfortable, all necessary facilieties were there but a bit dirty (Kind of like a Student dorm really) and the staff was friendly. Big Lockers and free towels are also a plus. Location is in aoto so about 40 Minutes from tokyo Main station. Overall good value for the price. Highly recommended for backpackers/travellers on a budget.

It is very good for its price and a quiet, peaceful location next to a river.

It is just a bit outside the Tokyo metro area, so in order to enter Tokyo, you need to walk a bit and change a couple of stations.

J is a fantastic and friendly host and I'd happily recommend the place to anybody looking for a cheap budget stay in Tokyo for a few nights. It's a more scenic area than the usual tourist Hotspots in Tokyo, expect a bit of a trek between walking to the train station and the trains themselves but if you are on holidays in Tokyo you are always gonna be dealing with trains!

The owner pay attention to everybody , sympatic, well organized in its job...nothing bad !...and he speaks good english !...I've met interesting people here!

The bed was a little hard for my back...!

Loved the simplicity of the place. All promised services were there. J was a very nice host who nicely explained how everything worked on the first day. Also, he was so kind that he waited for my belated arrival.

The beds were a bit squeaky, so when I moved, I was kinda worried that I was bothering someone else with the noise.

It felt homey and was very quiet. It’s in a more residential area so there wasn’t a lot of noise throughout the night. I slept like a log here 😴. also it had a good kitchen.

It is a bit of a walk away from the train station (the trade off for a quieter accommodation) and it takes a while to get to places as it’s further out.

J is an amazing host and made me feel really welcome. I also loved the location. It's in a quiet neighborhood but is close enough to public transport that it's easy to get out and about.

The shower was quite dirty and could use a good clean and the bed I had in the dorm room was very squeaky. It could do with a spray of WD-40 or something similar.
