we had an upgrade to a suite which was a lovely surprise! Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great with lots of choice and didn’t have the chaotic feel that some hotel breakfasts have. Location was really good, walking distance to restaurants and the fort and a funny little pub called Rovers Return! Gym was generally well equipped though some of the equipment was a bit dated it was still usable. Beach was lovely and clean and comfortable sun loungers, same around the pool, plenty of space - I would definitely stay here again

The policy about no outside food and beverages, while I completely understand no alcohol or a full supermarket shop, I don’t understand why you can’t take a couple slices of pizza, that you can’t finish at dinner, but might want to have while watching TV later that evening - especially when the room had a full size fridge and dining table! Strange policy Movenpick, although it does seem to be a common rule among higher end hotels that offer their own restaurants and bars.

very good location, close to the Aqaba center and right on the beach...the hotel is very nice, nice lounge and restaurants, very well maintained garden with swimming pools, special private beach with very fine sand, smooth entrance to the water, perfect for families with children, and a beach bar with reasonable prices.. The staff in the restaurants and at the breakfast is very kind.. a very good option if you stay in Aqaba

the rooms would still require a renovation, their appearance is outdated, the bathrooms are very old-fashioned with dirty tiles, the wooden accessories also need to be better maintained.. of all the staff we met, only one lady from the reception was kind to us seemed with an inappropriate, hateful attitude, possibly due to the fact that we are Europeans and come from another culture..

One of the best experience I ever had with a hotel was when I stayed at Movenpick in Aqaba. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were royalty! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. I’d like to thank Ms. Taraf for the incredible hospitality as she upgraded my room as a welcoming and all the receiption team as well. The room itself was luxurious and comfortable, with all of the amenities you could want from a five-star hotel. Breakfast was served in a large dining area with an outdoor dining and food was great.

Sound isolation between rooms is not good.

The breakfast and house keeping staff were very friendly and attentive always smiling and ready to help. house keeping cleaned our room twice a day and always left us enough water and things for the kids. The reception staff were also very nice they upgraded one of our rooms to a suite and the second room was connected which made it easier with the kids and for us all to be together.

The pools are full of chlorine, they burn your eyes my sons eyes swell up very bad from all the chlorine in the pool so we had to stay at the beach which was fine but there was a lot of broken glass on the beach from beer bottles which was also inconvenient with my the two kids digging up sand and building castles. We had requested a baby cot in the room for our toddler they brought it up and left it out side set up so w head to put in our room alone which was difficult as it didn’t fit through the door. When we came to put our toddler in at night we realised there wasn’t even a mattress in the crib just a wooden plank we called reception for a mattress and they sent up a duvet cover to place underneath him which we didn’t do as it’s quite dangerous and still uncomfortable.

Breakfast was very good. The room was beautiful and spacious. The beach is very nice and private, far enough from the pool so we don't hear all the noise. Maybe I would suggest that you offer a map either in paper or online so we understand the full facilities that are available.

The dinner buffet was a little disappointing, there was not a lot of variety. Also, there weren't a lot of fruit options. Another point, the wait line at the reception was long, I understand that they might be under staffed but some times the service would take too long. Also, food and drinks very expensive.

Check in was smooth and fast, beach & pool were super clean, the housekeeping staff were nice and did a great job daily. Ayman the life guard is the best! He was super nice and very helpful and friendly with kids ❤️ There was daily fun activities with the animation team. Every night there was a show with singer & belly dancer.

The breakfast was nice but there wasn’t an omelette station anymore and we had to ask the waitresses for the omelette and we had to wait a long time for it and it wasn’t as we ordered multiple times which was a set back.. we liked having the omelette done in-front of us to have it as we ordered and to enjoy the small show of serving it for us.

We loved our time at the Mövenpick. When we got there we were upgraded to a suite with sea view. Just beautiful. The staff is very nice, the room was clean and comfortable(Gede from housekeeping mades us towel swans, elephant :), the breakfast was realy good, with lots of choises, the private beach was clean with pleanty of sunbeds. It is a big hotel, not very crowded...we had the pool and jacuzzi on the bridge to ourselves most mornings. And becouse we checked out at 3 am they packed us a take away breakfast. Realy nice! PS. If you like to go snorkeling don t miss The Japonese Garden....you can go to the Berenice club for a fee of 13JD/day or try the Public beach not very far from it.

The hotel is a bit old looking, the door to our bedroom didn t close all the way, the bathtub was old. But that didn t bother us that much. We liked our stay at this hotel.

Best dinner buffets in all of Jordan-or at least on a par with those at the Dead Sea Marriott Hotel. I stayed 5 nights here . Bed was divine.Room was huge.Everything in the hotel is clean and fresh. They have the best location of all the Aqaba Hotels because one can walk a very short distance to fascinating shops, stores and cafes -as well to as the two chief historical sights in Aqaba. It's the closest hotel to town, yet it's quiet. Best of all:the hotel looks and feels authentically, Jordanian - Arabic architecture outside and luxurious interiors, with mosaics and frescoes.Several other 5-star hotels nearby were ugly modern boxes.Staff are consistently gracious. Plentiful taxis outside the hotel. Rarely a wait at front desk/reception. Cleaning staff have a positive, smiling attitude-as does the restaurant staff.

The beaches in central Aqaba are adequate for swimming but the water quality is 100% better in Tala Bay.(20 minutes away)Problem with Tala Bay is you need a car or taxi to go anywhere.Nothing within walking distance. That's the trade -off. Movenpick offers several round trip daily shuttles to Tala Bay if you sign up with Bernice Beach Club.Inexpensive. Many tour groups seem to use the hotel, but that seems to be the norm all over Jordan.I saw it in Amman and Dead Sea as well.

Private beach access. A lot of restaurants around the corner (if you prefer to eat outside the resort). Nice rooms.

We booked this hotel to get a clean beach with possibility to snorkel, unfortunately this isn't a good area to snorkel as there isn't much to see...

The hotel is beautiful and located right at the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach. The restaurant and the breakfast were also great.

The service could be better organized. We waited around 30min to check in, even if there were only 3 people in front of us. The staff (or the process) could be more efficient, especially during rush hours. Also, I wrote to the hotel asking about tours before my arrival, and no one ever replied. We still really liked the hotel, but (considering it is a five stars hotel) these points could be improved.
