Room was clean. Toiletries were provided. I booked the hostel room. U wouldn't expect a mountain resort to offer this but it was a comfortable room and offered good sized bed, comfy, with private lockers. Everything else was offered as per the hotel facilities including breakfast, the pool and sauna. All of which I availed and it was still worth it for the price u pay. Most ppl do a day trip to shymbulak but its really nice to enjoy the mountain once the day trippers have left including access to the pool and sauna which was a really nice touch at night. Also it allows for you to get out on the mountain before the crowds arrive. Breakfast was a really nice selection as well and the restaurant on-site has a good menu albeit a little pricey (which is expected considering the location!)

The bathroom could use some refurbishment/maintenance.

To reach the hotel you have to take the cable car from Medeu cable car station as only electric cars with license to go further up are allowed. It cost an additional 4000kzt to reach the hotel by an electric car. The same applies for going down. We had luggage and so we had to transfer from another taxi to the electric taxi. These things were not informed to us. We had a hard time figuring it out as the staff although responsive on whatsapp, speak very little to no English. Communication with hotel was not easy.

We stayed during winter, so the heated pool and sauna were the perfect relaxation after spending the day snowboarding. The view outside our room was spectacular, we could view the slopes and the snowy mountains. Ski/snowboard school was jud a few meters away, you could literally wake up and hop on the boards right away ⛷️🏂 Breakfast was delicious, had a decent options to choose from. The room was comfortable and cozy as well.

The wifi connection was very weak In our room located on the 4th floor. There was a decent signal but keeps on disconnecting and takes 20-30mins to be able to get the connection back. Other than that, everything was fine.

Although our room lacks a balcony, it directly faces the awe-inspiring ski mountain from the fourth floor, especially on snowy days like the second day of our stay. The buffet breakfast remains the same every day but is decent enough. The sauna, which overlooks the snow-covered mountain, and the pool are definite highlights. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Additionally, you can take an electric taxi downhill for just 4000 tenge, slightly cheaper than the cable car for two people.

One of the ladies in the restaurant, whom I believe is a manager, had a very stern demeanor and did not attend to me when I tried to request utensils. However, the rest of the restaurant staff were incredibly kind and patient, despite the language barrier we faced. Although there's no lift in the building and carrying luggage up the stairs can be tiring, the staff are willing to assist if you request help.

Nice accommodation. Met our expectations. It was lovely that you have swimming pool and sauna access. Breakfast was plentiful and even for a vegetarian like me, there were lots of options. We had dinner there too and although small portions, was nice and tasty. All staff were pleasant and accommodating. Room was small but well planned. For 1 night it was fine for us. I'd have found it too small if I was staying for several days.

Nothing too much. It's a generic hotel so it lacks character. Room and balcony were small but it was all functional.

The location is in shymbulak itself, everything is near, I love the place , peaceful, I love it , too much activities there , you will love it

The room (hostel) that we booked is not clean, the bathroom is very small , the room wasn’t clean, & there’s not too much options in the breakfast but the cereal was wow and the jam loved it, overall it’s peaceful and nice place but it needs some fixing things next time I will book in room with 2 better

Everything was amazing! Beautiful location. Amazing staff providing attentive service. Cosy and comfortable rooms with beautiful views. Customised and good quality amenities. Good food in the restaurant. Adequate and satisfying breakfast buffet. Great coffee. Draught beer. Warming blankets in addition to the standard room linen. Very clean. Reception staff are fluent in English. The room was delayed on check-in but the reception manager personally came and explained and apologised, this is when we knew that the stay was going to be lovely.

Please don’t overwork the staff, they are wonderful but seem tired. We have seen the restaurant servers working from 8am to beyond midnight(16 hours) and then back to work early next morning.

The staff assisted as much as they could, albeit language was a barrier, Google translate was of great assistance. The room was very neat, the beds relatively large as per hostel standards. The overall Resort was a wonderful experience.

The hostel bathroom was slightly small, needed some repairs and was challenging for 6 people to access. Could be better maintained.

I booked just a dorm which was relatively cheap but even a dorm includes breakfast, sauna and pool (it's warm enough even when it's cold outside). That was the main reason why I wish to stay longer. The location is amazing, perfect for a few treks in the area. The room has a balcony with a nice view. There's a locker and you even get some amenities including slippers (not common in the hostels).

The wi-fi was almost non-existent in the room. The dorm was very small so I can't imagine when it's fully packed. The restaurant in the hotel is not the cheapest and the staff is really slow. Unfortunately it's the only option to eat in the evening as other restaurants in Shymbulak seem to be closed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room and the beds were very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the balcony and the spectacular view! The food both in the evening and at breakfast was of good quality. We LOVED the sauna and the outdoor pool and would go back again just for that! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, we particularly enjoyed playing table tennis with them. The location is perfect for the ski resort and the views on all sides are breathtaking. Worked out extremely good value for money too
