It is a hotel that holds all the wonders of Africa in the past but has all the creature comforts of the present. You could wonder around the grounds all day and be fascinated by the art. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they seem to be very happy working there. The owner is always hands-on and they seem to be one happy family, which rubs off on their kindness to their guests. Great location right on the beach with security to fend off the usual beach boys selling their wares. Special thanks to Gimmy, the head waiter/ bar man. A real Gent, professional, helpful, and respectful.

No tea or coffee making facilities in your room, and very quiet at night time. The bar closes at 10pm but maybe that was just the time of the year.

Amazing artistic decor and ambiance... like staying in a Swahilli modern art museum.... super cool. Pool is good about 4.5' deep so friendly for swimmers of a wide variety of abilities... beach is long and interesting but not the best for swimming Excellent location

Restaurant is passable but not a destination Breakfast is ample and friendly with excellent view of beach and ocean Bar area is comfortable and relaxed

The white Elephant is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience! I stayed here for a few days after my safari and it was the perfect ending to an already amazing adventure. The hotel is set amidst a tropical jungle and outdoor art gallery, and is right on the Indian Ocean. Imagine having your meals right off the beach! And the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.

Apartment B was great, large living and dining room, two bedrooms, kitchen and outdoor terrace. The entire staff is wonderful, always happy and eager to help. Swimming pool and beach are fantastic

Living and dining room area don't have AC, which is needed at the end of the day since it gets very hot. Few pots and passing kitchen. Breakfast was good but limited.

Peace & quiet, environment & beach, beach guard @ night was very alert, resturant has a special pizza oven, lighting has improved at night, reception & resturant staff were caring

Staff attentiveness is not there, was at the beach in the evening at 6pm expecting a staff to come with beach beds or atleast ask if we needed them but no one was around

Nice beach, but too much seaweed. The rooms don't have a view, and have little privacy.

The location is fantastic, right on the beach. The pools are wonderful. The service is fabulous, every help given in a friendly and efficient manner. The artwork incredible
