Really nice property that knows what budget travelers want. Wifi works in rooms. Good breakfast. Beer.

On check out, property's tabulations were entirely wrong. Charged me for an additional night. For restaurant, I log EVERYTHING I consume as I go including price listed in menu. Here I was charged for drinks I did not buy. For what I did buy, prices did not match menu prices and were even inconsistent for same product (e.g., Coke one day was one price, another day a different price). This became a time-consuming and painful checkout wherein they tried calling waiter to ask what he served several nights before. I ended up paying precisely what I should have, but it makes me wonder how this goes for those who do not log their expenses and pay whatever they're asked. On top of an otherwise very positive experience, this left a bad taste.

The staff was very nice. I loved the Rooftop where you can order some drinks and food and just enjoy the evening. I loved the delicious and big breakfast. The location is what we were looking for. The authentic experience of Nairobi. During the day it is safe to walk around the neighbourhood. So we had a nice walk in the City Centre. During the night we were advised not to walk around the neighbourhood. So in the evenings, we stayed on the rooftop had some drinks, meet some other travellers and observed the neighbourhood from above. You can book a taxi or Uber which pick you up just in front of the gate, though. We felt very save all the time of our stay at Kweza. The place is open 24/7. I would say good value for the money. And a good place for backpackers. We would book again.

We booked a shuttle from the airport to the Khweza at 3 AM. Due to some technical issues that didn't work out, so we had to take a taxi. This wasn't such a problem as there are plenty of taxis at the airport and you can also call an Uber.

Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay pleasant from the moment we arrived. Great Rooftop: The rooftop area was a highlight. Although we had to check out early for a flight and couldn't enjoy the breakfast, we did order drinks and food in the evening. The quality was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable, adding great value to our experience. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the friendly staff and delightful rooftop experience, but the shower drainage issue needs attention to improve the overall comfort and safety of the bathroom.

Shower Drainage: The shower had drainage issues, causing the catchment area to fill up and overflow onto the bathroom floor. This made the floor very wet and slippery, which was inconvenient and could be hazardous.

Breakfast had to be ordered in advance through the app, but it was not difficult. The breakfasts and also the dinners at the hotel were very tasty, exceeded our expectations! The hotel has a beautiful rooftop, where it was pleasant to enjoy a meal and a view of the city. The staff was helpful and everything agreed went perfectly. Mistress of Khweza Peris' recommendation to visit Bomas (an open-air museum with houses of different tribes and dance performances) was especially nice. We recommend ordering this at the hotel's travel agency, next to the receptionist's desk.

The drinking water sold in the hotel in 1L bottles could be a little cheaper.

My stay at the Kweza Bed and Breakfast in Nairobi was thoroughly enjoyable, and it ticked all the boxes for a comfortable, budget-friendly accommodation. Located in a convenient spot that made exploring the city a breeze, Kweza was an ideal base for my Nairobi adventures. The affordability of the stay was a major plus, providing great value without compromising on comfort or essentials. But what truly set Kweza apart was the staff; their warmth and hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived until my departure. Their attentive service and genuine kindness contributed significantly to the overall positive experience of my stay.

Given the overall positive experience at Kweza Bed and Breakfast in Nairobi, there was genuinely not much to dislike. The minor imperfections encountered were vastly overshadowed by the positives, such as the excellent location, affordability, and the warmth of the staff. These strong points made any drawbacks seem negligible, contributing to a stay that was, on the whole, really good and memorable for all the right reasons.

Khweza is a really good budget hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Mosquito nets provided. They often have fans for your rooms. Having a fan was great, because there is no AC. The rooftop restaurant is a great place to chill. The food is hit and miss. The free breakfast was good. The staff is great. We had many questions and requests and they almost always gave us what we needed. We stayed multiple times and would stay again. The area is not the best, but you can easily get an uber anywhere.

1 out of 3 nights were noisy. Some people outside were arguing at 3am. The showers get water everywhere and the water gets warm, not hot.

We only stayed one night as we had a 24 hour layover in Nairobi before flying back to the UK. The hotel is well located and a 10 minute walk to Nairobi CBD. The rooms are basic and clean and what you would expect for the price. The shower wasn't great, but functional and adequate for a night or two. The roof bar and restuarant is a great place to have a beer or a tasty meal. The staff are amazing. They will go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. We were leaving at 6am for our flight so we were to miss breakfast, but the staff member Danny insisted on making us a light breakfast of fruits, toast and coffee at 5:30am so we didn't go to the airport on empty stomachs. I would definitely stay again for a night or two.

Amazing staff that’s ready to do anything for you. Dan took us for a city tour that we will never forget. Such a real experience. Peris who works at the tour office was wonderful and made us an unforgettable tour. The reception staff was always ready to help us, they really are the best

The hotel is not in the best area and there are loud cars driving by all day and all night but the hotel staff made the experience worth it. Wi-Fi is not the best so we recommend buying a tourist SIM card.

Great hostel in Nairobi with comfortable beds and cooked breakfast served at all hours of the morning. I've stayed here twice and both times the staff were fantastic (and what really set this place apart); going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and arranging airport transfers and meals at short notice. I'd strongly recommend for solo travelers and small groups looking for a place to stay when in Nairobi without breaking the bank.

Location isn't the most convenient and walking to/from the B&B isn't really advised – as is common for many areas in Nairobi, you generally have to take a Taxi or Uber to get around. However, this was never an issue and the compound itself is very safe – and is always locked and secured at night.

Nice staff, good breakfast. Very relaxing rooftop restaurant. You can buy drinks and water from the hotel for a very reasonable price. We had dinner once, the food was good.

Our room was next to the reception so it was loud, unfortunately also during the night when some guests were checking out. Besides that, some noise was coming from the main street but luckily not so much during the night. Also, the light situation is very bad (very weak light bulbs) but we figured it's the general case in Kenya.
