Old school, I love it

Sure, it’s not easy to take care of the house and the garden when they are so old what a little bit more and it would be perfect!

Extremely friendly staff, who were always helpful and quick to resolve any minor issues. Comfortable cottages at very reasonable price with beautiful location and excellent restaurant.

Kitchen equipment was rather ancient, but still serviceable. We wanted to hire the mountain bikes to do the trail which looked great, but all of them had punctures.

Having stayed at NMRL several times over the years, we went back to Kenya a decade after leaving. I was happy to see Naro Moru so well kept up; the grounds and landscaping as beautiful as ever, the rooms very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Such a peaceful feeling there…

We liked everything!

Charming. The gardens were beautiful. We loved the fire place in the room and enjoyed it being lit in the evening

A bit dated. And the cushions on the sofa set were well worn. The food on offer needs attention. It was not very tasty

The gardens are absolutely stunning.Staff are very attentive and friendly. Food is good . Access road is poor but in general a haven.

We stayed in a self catering chalet.Kitchen cupboard doors could do with easing and plugs in sinks either don't exist or don't fit ! Very common problem in Africa !

We had first stayed at Naro Moru Lodge 40 years ago and it has hardly changed. It is a beautiful relaxing place. The staff were delightful and very helpful and the food was good.

Some of the buildings and fixtures could use updating but the Lodge is still brimming with character

The cabins are awesome. I got an upgrade at no extra cost, I guess it was the place of the season.. The meals were tasty. The environment is well kept and serene. Otherwise me and family really enjoyed the stay and cherish to come back another time for a fuller experience, biking, hiking, mt climbing etc.

The breakfast was too little in terms so variety. The lamb soup was not fresh, from those who tried it. The milk was not ready for tea on time. It takes too long to prepare a la carte meals. The 15 -20 minutes given turns out to be one hour.

The lodge is in an exceptional site, surrounded by a beautiful nature and a river running close to the lodge. Spectacular scenary, nice swimming pool and playgrounds for children.

Despite the rather big price, everything is counted as extra: Regular coffee instead of instant coffee served for breakfast has to be paid for (strange choice to only serve instant coffee in Kenya), firewood for the chimeney is a courtesay for one fire only but is then charged 600KES, sauna comes at a charge, etc. The rooms are nice but the quality of the food is extremely disappointing.
