1. The set up of the resort around the hotspring, jungles and cave is fantastic 2. The ever helpful staff including the Jeff cellar chef make us feel so welcomed 3. The design of the lake Villa is beautiful and it has everything we need. the very high ceiling makes the villa so airy. 4. The super king size bed and many pillows are so comfortable. 5. There are many light switches to control the brightness inside the villa. 6. All electrical appliances provided are working well, bathroom with water flowing out easily, many towels and tidbits supplied, water hot enough for the outdoor bathtub, ... you don't need to call for repair.. 7. The male public toilet at the crystal cave is amazing! the long roots of big trees are used to design one of the walls, the impact is fantastic! The designer brought the nature into the toilet in such creative ways! the resort paid attention to many details! we have no regrets in staying here!

The slates /tiles used to build geothermal hot dip pool are mouldy. slippery. feeling uncomfortable. Did the maintenance brush the tiles regularly? We turned off the cold water supply the pool water is warm but definitely below temperature 40C. We prefer it hotter, not warm.

The resort is simply stunning! Doesn't seem real! The caves, hotsprings, jungle are all so picturesque and natural and the resort really blends in/ takes advantage of the natural surroundings rather than imposing on them. The check in experience was fantastic, we were greeted warmly and offered drinks and cold towels. They take you to your room in a buggy and give you tour of resort facilities on the way. As we arrived at 11am, they suggested we did the jungle walk and explored the lost world of tambun (free entry with hotel) for a while. We really enjoyed this and when we returned to hotel room was 20mins wait so they took us to the library which was air conditioned and had coffee/ snacks. We still checked in to our room at 1pm so 2hrs ahead of usual check in time. We stayed in a lake villa- The room was spacious, clean and well stocked with water, complimentary mini bar with soft drinks and snacks. We were also given a complimentary bottle of wine as they are doing renovation work in the hotel atm. Our private jacuzzi and pool in the garden were amazing, and we loved our balcony terrace/ the view. We loved the hotsprings, steam cave and pool. And the fridge near the pool where you can get complimentary cold water & ice cream. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Plenty of choice and you can order as much as you like. Dinner very good value, huge portions and delicious food. We also enjoyed a drink at Jeff's cellar- served by Dharwin who was fantastic! Delicious cocktails and very friendly service. He gave us a tour of the cave & cellar afterwards and offered to take photos etc which really made the evening. The spa was amazing- very helpful when making booking. We had couples massage- aromatherapy- best massage ever! Very professional service from the 2 women, friendly and put you at ease. Also very flexible with massage re. areas to focus on.

Only thing that let the Pomelo restaurant down was the service- quite haphazard, often long waits to clear plates or the server would clear 1 but not other. Generally not very warm/ friendly/ chatty or organised it seemed. This lets the resort down as reception & spa staff extremely friendly and service of very high standard.

Absolutely amazing place that harnesses its natural limestone landscape to make a hide away and a aplce to reconnect with yourself, with each other. The gardens and huge outdoor fans make the entire estate a lovely experience to walk around. A surprise birthday message was spelt out in leaves, and each leaf had been individually wiped clean. Service was so good and staff are clearly so proud to be working there. Ordered a plain cheese omelette at breakfast and it was the best I've had in Malaysia (I'm obsessed with eggs, so this is a big deal). Jeff's Cellar is indescribable, it has to be experienced.

The outdoor hot tub in the villa is spectacular (with piped in geothermal hot spring water!). But it could have done with fresh grouting and a good scrub.

relaxing, i like the morning and evening walk, pool for hotspring, and all the facilities and the friendly staff!

i think the bathroom floor is not clean properly or the floor structure is slippery. my friend fall down and hit her head on the wall, her head swallen but a bit better when we checkout on the next day. monkey! lucky we remember to lock our door (balcony and also bathroom). we had coffee and leave the cup at balcony, and this monkey broke it. i think this monkey disappointed because there is no coffee left. construction, definitely disturb the view after this.

Everything was just awesome,, it was one of the best stays i have ever had in my life. The place is a must for those who are looking for a relaxing destination with in-house facilities for wellbeing. Breakfast is superb & can not be any better. The staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful especially Ali.

I loved everything about this place. From the private plunge pool and hot springs bath tub to the steam cave and meditation activities - I had a very soothing stay. The staff are all very kind and the amenities were wonderful. I feel as I though I have relaxed spiritually, mentally, and physically. I can’t wait to return.

I loved staying here and would return as-is. That said, if I had to make any changes they would be: -more vegetarian food options. Could be as simple as adding tofu or tempeh as a protein. -more consistent portion sizes (meals and wine pours). My experience was that they varied daily, depending on who was working. - more places to pick up and return towels for the steam cave, hot pots, etc. - that staff working the pool towel/ bottled water area would leave bottled water out if they stepped away.

Firstly, it's definitely the staff who are so friendly, accommodating and polite. They go out of their way to make sure everything is to your liking. Next comes the ala carte breakfast menu with a huge variety to select from. Last but not least, the peace and beauty of the whole place. Jeff's Cellar, the bar up on the mountain, is to die for. Ms. Theng and her team once again rose above expectations when my wife lost her phone and Mr. Usama Khan, the Gardner, found it and returned it honestly to us via courier after we left the hotel. What honesty. They also prepared the room for my wife's 50th pre birthday celebration, which was so thoughtful.

Slight issue we had with our hot water tub, which was fixed within 20 mins from the time I raised it.

the villa was really worth the price, very clean, super recommended to those who enjoys nature so much. there’s 2 cave to explore, hotspring tub in each villa and public hotspring tub. a lot of complimentary foods, icecream, and melon.

With 100% fruit and vegetable juice also prepared for you. 🍎🍐🍓🍌🍋🍊🥕 + The resort acts as an animal reserve with monkeys, fish, koi, reptiles and giant monitor lizards staying at the resort with you. 🦎 🐒 🐦 🐠 + Rooms are the best I've ever seen. Even the smallest rooms are spacious. + The mini-fridge is restocked daily with chips, treats and juices, all of which is free! + Each room has, at minimum, a private pool and hot tub with geothermal water from the spring. 🌊 🏞️ + Tasty cheesecake, drinks and a 'Welcome pomelo' are offered at the start of your stay. 🍰 + Before checking in, I asked for flower petals on the bed; to add to the atmosphere for our anniversary. The staff went to extra effort to make the room look fantastic! With aesthetics and free chocolate cake. All at no extra cost. This really made our stay the best. + Absolutely exceeded all expectations and I plan on staying again.

- The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is not within walking distance of any stores, restaurants or convenience marts. Although there is little need to ever leave. - No motorcycles or scooters offered at the resort.
