The staff were friendly,, making me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, with the Nasi Lemak being a particular highlight for me. Additionally, I appreciated the prompt and efficient service whenever I had a request. The team's dedication to ensuring a comfortable and satisfying stay was evident in their swift response to attend to my needs directly in my room. I highly recommend Royale Chulan to anyone looking for a staycation that combines excellent service, delightful culinary experiences, and an overall feeling of being well taken care of.

For future improvements, I believe an expansion of the swimming pool area could significantly enhance the overall guest experience at Royale Chulan. A larger pool would not only provide more space for relaxation and leisure but also cater to the needs of more guests simultaneously. It would add to the resort's luxurious ambiance and make the stay even more enjoyable.

Yes the hotel is dated and everything is weathered. But it is kept very clean and there are no bad smells. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was tidy, well supplied and of a great size with toilet and shower separated. The location is great. Not a long drive to the nearest highway. Covered walkway directly from the hotel to MRT station (one stop from 1 Utama shopping mall). Short walk to Ikea, The Curve and IPC. The pool was clean and there's a wading pool next to it. The toilets and shower by the pool were clean, dry and well supplied (toilet rolls, soap, facial tissues). The parking area and hotel surroundings also well maintained.

My only issue would be that the shower door was not tight so the water got out and the bathroom mat and towel basket got completely wet. Also it'd be great if the pool could be opened for longer in the evening.

Room is bit dated but spotless clean and very spacious & comfortable. Excellent location, steps away from MRT train station and walking distance to shopping and food. Good size swimming pool with road and housing view but has a good sunset view. Left my iPhone charger after check out but they hotel kept it for me - bonus point for the honest staff!

The room given has no view and blocked by the big wall of the other building. The air condition was not that strong even after the maintenance staff fixed it. However, the staff were very polite and apologize for the inconvenience caused. The safe box was not working due to the safe box system was down but it is acceptable

It's an aged hotel. Need some extra maintenance to revive it and stay at a 5-star level. The wallpaper is torn out making it sore on the eyes. I booked for Premier King but got 2 single beds. Even though the room is the same size, having two beds put close together is not comfortable to sleep in. Also no canned drinks and chips as in the advertised room. I arrived late and tired with small kids, so I just closed my eyes and stayed for 2 nights. The bedsheet is thin and I can see the bed brand through it. The carpet needs a deep clean as its odor was really strong. Overall experience was good, but the management might need to look into the refurbishment to stay as a 5-star hotel.

Everything was as per expectation, after we upgraded the room from Superior to Premium Superior. The room that we got initially was a little 'worn out'. But after the upgrade everything was perfect. Other than this, the location is super great. You can reach The Curve and IKEA thru link bridges directly connected to the hotel. Breakfast and included amenities were perfect. Room is large and clean and nothing that we could complain of.

Needed the room upgrade for the stay to be perfect. The overall appearance of the hotel looks at some points that it could do with a bit of overhaul. But it's a bit of nitpicking.

Looks old, but clean and well maintained. Feel classic. Room is big, got table to work and dine, sofa to rest. Inside closet, there are iron and iron board, emergency torchlight, safe box, weight scale, room sandals. As usual, there is coffee and electric kettle, two bottle of complimentary mineral water. Toilet , bathroom and sink are separated, got hair dryer. Hot water is working well. toothbrush and toothpaste provided. ATM, food outlet, 7-eleven just approx within 500m radius.

Fridge is not cold, i wonder why. There are two mineral water inside, not labelled as complimentary, not sure whether it is free or not.

Lovely pool and staff. Very secure and safe. Lots of security about. Excellent breakfast that catered internationally for everyone. Spacious room, lovely bed and linen. Great pool with lovely view. Not some silly circular pool. Great for proper swimming! I had a problem in that I left my charger in my room and lead. :Eventually both were found. Best to communicate with hotel via What’s app. Do not email as they don’t respond.

Just a little tired in decoration but this is very minor.

Staff very accommodating to my room requirements. They got me a joining room which was very convenient because we came with elderly. Very near to eating place. Ramps for special needs are everywhere including the surau. So convenient for my mom.

The coffee house food arrangement, some of them are placed on a high table. I am short, so I can't see the content of the food especially those in big bowls or wok

A previous 5* hotel at lower price, buffet breakfast. Beds comfortable, air conditioning works well. Overall the hotel was clean. Friendly helpful staff. Next to MRT

Sadly run down due to the pandemic, reduced staff, pool very basic, smaller one closed and jacuzzi blowers not working. The rooms badly need updating. We booked a twin room but was given a double, possibly because they allowed us to check in early. When mentioned they changed us quickly. Unfortunately they probably didn’t inform room services and it wasn’t cleaned the next day. The Curve side of the hotel was closed and abandoned. However, considering I didn’t pay full price for a 5* hotel and the situation for the last 3 years, overall we enjoyed our stay.

We wanted to extend our stay .. the staff told us a price then said you can just pay up the next morning . The next morning when I went down to pay for 1 extra day ... i was told to pay double the price by another staff /supervisor and indicated take it or leave it that is our rate today . The staff seems a bit rude to me .
