When the cleaners came in to clean the room was great however, when they came in they left the door open a lot and they also left lots of the windows open, this meant that not only does the heat get into the room so when we come back it would be hot but it also let in bugs! We had to kill many cockroaches and they were crawling all over the floor!

The villa was gorgeous with an amazing pool. All was beautiful from room to location and équipement. Staff was lovely.

Too far from anyplace but managed to find an option with grab.

Whole location fabulous: style of villas, fully equipped with hairdryer, fridge, airco/propeller, daily towels exchanged, comfortable bed (with cover protecting from mosquitos), a lot of space. Nice enviroment (trees Outstanding floating pool, free towels available. Nice breakfast buffet (staff was even flexible to provide a breakfast bag to carry away!). Small store (with local art & crafts. Books avaliable. Excellent kitchen (dinner). Very friendly and absolutely flexible staff If I would return to Langkawi this location will be my favourite!

Place for clothes is limited (and no possibilities to hang them in the room) especially if two persons would use this villa. Close to the runway of Langkawi Intl Airport (was not an issue foor me related to 'noise' of landing/starting planes) Asked several times to repair cuboard (missing clothes rail) but did not happen... Access to location not so nice (small roads, potholes)

The little villa felt like an authentic Malay house. The rustic furniture and environment added to the charm. However, all the amenities, like air-con, fans and heated showers and Bath were in the little villa. I especially liked that the bathroom was exposed to the outdoors. I relaxed in the warm Bath as the sky turned dark. That was fun. There ware batik bathrobes to relax in too. The Pool was small and we didn’t really use it but it looked nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious and there was a variety on offer though mostly asian food. The chef made delicious omelettes for us. My son threatened to live here just for the breakfast! 😂 Staff were all English speaking and very friendly and accommodating.

When it rained the noise was really loud. It added to the rustic charm but made it difficult to sleep especially when it rained most of the night. The place is in the middle of nowhere and not really walkable to anywhere else. BUT, there was no issue getting a Grab taxi at any time.

My husband and i, we love everything about the villas, room deco, the interior design, the restaurant as well as the breakfast and lunch menu. The classical traditional Malay concept is the main attraction at Kunang kunang. I chose the villa from the website to surprise my husband for our honeymoon holiday. When we were at Kunang kunang, he was so amazed, fascinated and stunt with the beautiful Malays building and the architecture. So do I. It was not just about the buiiding, the landscape has its own connection and attraction too. It is all well balanced. Nevertheless, the hotel staffs and managers they are so friendly, knowlegeable and helpful too. We love the environment. The staffs are always happy to approach us. Basically they are happy people. We felt so welcome to be there. Kudos to encik Mat, encik Rais, the chefs, restaurant staffs, housekeepers and the gardeners. You guys are awesome. We were there for five days and definitely we would like to stay longer on our next visit.

We love everything there at Kunang kunang. We only spotted a tiny thing that needed to be highlighted so that it wont spoil the beautiful things we like about Kunang kunang. Our humble opinion is about a table knife needs to be placed on the table as part of a table settings so tht i could cut the salads into small pieces before eating it. My husband would love to use a table knife to spread butter on the bread. We had to ask for it everytime we were having breakfast. Overall we love Kunang kunang.

Beautiful place - Loved the stay and the experience of living in a traditional kampong house. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large/ spacious and surprisingly you don't feel hot - there is an aircon too which we felt we didn't quite need. We thought it would be noisy being so close to the airport but that was not the case at all.

The only issue was there is no phone / connection to the reception - hence if you require anything or have a problem in your room you would need to go to the reception desk to ask for help. For us we booked the furthest room away from the reception hence felt that was a fairly troublesome.

Floating pool was beautiful. Daily swims are a must. The villas were authentic and charming Staff were very helpful Location was perfect for us. In a quiet and private area but still a 10 minute drive to the main beach. Longer drive to the other quieter beaches but very easy to do via grab. Bonus - cat Kenny was super cute

Whilst the cleaners did a great and prompt job of cleaning the villa everyday, it didn't seem as if under the bed and other nooks and crannies had been thoroughly cleaned recently There are stray dogs outside the property but we didn't have any issues with them. Just an FYI

This was without a doubt the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in. Wonderful time in Langkawi- breakfast was not a buffet style but was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We booked 2 villas side by side for our family of 5 - 2 adult children. We cannot recommend this place highly enough- thank you Kunang Kunang

The only negative is that after the rain, the mosquitoes were bad and the open bathroom in one of our villas was full of mosquitoes.

The wooden villas are lovely, spacious and airy, and you get a feel for a traditional Malaysian house. Lovely gardens and reception areas, friendly staff and great food, and the pool is beautiful to sit around. Really enjoyed our stay.

The villas are originals and old, it's key to their charm, just don't expect flyscreen or really modern comforts. The location is out in farmland near the airport, a scooter or Grab needed to get around quickly. The restaurant opens for lunch only a few days a week, which was a pity as we really enjoyed it and would've liked to stay in and have dinner at least once. But for the price, great value.

Everything was great and authentic, cozy from the first minute of our stay. From the doorstep was greeted with a cool towel and drinks. The staff is super friendly. Pleasantly surprised the cleaning in the villa every day!

The only downside exactly in the villa where we stayed, very noisy at night, in that area of the territory very loud sound of cicadas, and frogs) But this is nature. The first night was intimidating, and then we got used to it and everything was fine.
