We stopped in Isla Aguada by accident and it is one of the best places to stop if you are looking for a not touristic place to relax with wild beaches full of seashells. As there is not much info in english about this place we decided to give a detailed review:) Cabanas Laguna is located close to main road. As said in previuos comments, it is a busy street and lots of trucks stop there for a night. However, in our room it was queit and we couldnt hear a thing. This also means that there are many local nice places to eat (Don Guillo is a bit more expensive, but food is great and La Kazota is closer and has great tacos). And we walked outside in evening and it is safe (I remember that few comments Cabanas Laguna is also located close to a really nice beach (5-10min walk or 3min by car). Our definition of nice is: no bars, free entry to everyone, sand and seashells. The water depending on wind is very clear or semi clear. There are a few places for cathing sun shade. At the beach we did not meet a one tourist and only a few local people. From april (I do not know for how long) you can see sea turtles there :) Cabanas Laguna is a closed territory with a parking outside of it (in front of the main entrance). They have cameras (and a person watching it) for the parking we felt that our car was safe. The property consist of two floored houses, swimming pool surrounded by garden, reception in which you can get a really good cup of coffee (italian style, because they do have a great coffee machine). However, be aware that the “reception” does not have breakfast. We chose to stay in the first floor because it has a small terrace and easy access to swimming pool area. So further comments are on this apartment: - AC is working good - WIFI reception everywhere - HOT shower is working good - Cleaness - 10 - rooms are spaciuos Bonus: There is a huge sliding window/door to garden/terrace so it is very light. Lovely 12 rooms in a garden setting surrounding a decent size pool. AC, hot water, large room, good shower, and comfortable beds! Don Guillo for dinner!

some construction noise in the evenings behind the rooms, but they stop at a decent hour. I think they are working when it is cooler. I little pricey but really few options and a very nice place.

very beautiful hotel in poor environment. it’s an oase. bed and room with balcony are perfect.

to bad you can’t have breakfast at the hotel. and outside in the village you don’t find a same level restaurant. local food is fine. we’ve had diner at Ramirez jr., just a couple of streets from the hotel

Beds were clean

Isla Aguada is not a place for families. A very travelled road leads through it, truckers take a break there on their way further south. The Cabanas seem to be a safe spot if you need to spend the night there though.

Lovely place, incredible owners and staff. Pet friendly, people that don't like cats or dogs might not enjoy it. The town isn't really touristic though, be advised.
