The breakfast was at a communal table with several other friendly guests- great way to connect with others, especially if you are a single traveller like I was. I loved my room which was the Dali Room on the next to top floor. It was actually two rooms - one was a nicely decorated sitting room with desk. There wasn't much of a view, but I was one half floor below the roof deck which had a panoramic view of the city and to which I went every afternoon and evening- there were tables and chairs there.

Maybe a little more fruit at breakfast plus yogurt. More breads and pastries as well. But there's a great bakery in town called La Colmena where you can get fantastic pastries - their cinnamon rolls are fabulous.

Casa Calderoni is a great place to stay on a visit to San Miguel. Luis manages the property and is very helpful with questions. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square. We stayed in the Matisse room, which has a king bed on one room, two twins in a second room, and it has a separate sitting room for relaxing. Just outside of the suite is another sitting area for a larger group to gather. The king room has air condition, which will cool the entire floorplan. It is very quiet and clean. There is cooked-to-order breakfast and daily housekeeping.

We loved the location and comfort of this B&B. It is close to the town center and on a quiet and flower lined street. The room was comfortable and the staff were great. The rooftop deck is lovely. We also appreciated meeting other guests at the breakfasts.

Our room had no exterior windows (which was fine) and got pretty warm at night. We had a split system AC unit in our room but couldn’t find a remote for it. It wasn’t until the second day that I asked about it that they gave me a remote to work the system; I wish they just kept that in the room so we would have been more comfortable on the first night.

This is a beautifully decorated hotel in traditional Mexican decor. The gentleman at the reception desk is outstanding and speaks English. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast is made to order with a range of options and is excellent. Try to get a room with a balcony as they have the best ventilation but all rooms have aircon. It is located on a pretty side street just a 5 minute walk from the central plaza.

Dogs in the neighborhood barking at night until around midnight were annoying but that is very common in Mexico. If you stay near the central plaza or on a main street it can be very noisy which is not a problem at this hotel

The personnel were helpful and polite, the breakfast was complete and good, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed, as are the bathrooms. Good wifi, good TV service. The hotel is close enough to the city centre to walk, but far enough to be quiet.

The rooms (at least our room) are a bit dark. The terrace would benefit enormously from an umbrella so that chairs and tables there can be used before sunset. Hot water takes very long to come in the bathroom, so a lot of water is wasted in the showers.

Beautifully decorated with a mix of tradional furnishings and interesting art. The bedrooms and bathrooms that I saw are all nicely decorated with great linens, and comfortable pillows and beds. the location is fantastic - quiet yet a little over 2 blocks from the center of town, the Paroquia. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and professional. I enjoyed my daily hot breakfast. I loved watching the sunset on the patio

Casa Calderoni is located in a quiet area in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende. The staff were extremely professional and very helpful, in particular Luis at the front desk. My room on the top floor was very comfortable, and opened onto a terrace with an amazing view of the city. Perfect relaxing place to end my vacation.

it is beautiful, quiet, great location and has wonderful staff. the breakfast was delicious and it was easy to walk to everything the city has to offer. bathroom was well supplied with drinking water and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful. we also appreciated the air conditioning.

The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from the town's main square, but away from its bustle and the sound of church bells. The street on which Casa Calderoni is located is a narrow one-way "callejon", lined with private properties and exceptionally quiet at night. The staff are unobtrusive and accommodating. Hotel manager Luis is a standout hospitality professional and extremely helpful. Breakfast is quite tasty with fresh fruit, cereals, coffee/tea and several main options. Across the street from the hotel is Jacques, a charming rooftop cafe/bistro serving fresh fare during the day and a great stop for lunch or coffee. The property is really the perfect size for a boutique hotel, with a small lobby area, an open air patio with stairs leading up to a living/dining room where breakfast is served, and a door to a comfortable reading/TV room, with a sizable book library, comfortable couch, a large flatscreen smart TV and a computer (good if you don't travel with a laptop). The TV room has an adjoining half bathroom, great in a pinch if your travel partner takes long showers. Amenities are completed by a rooftop terrace, perfect for sunset viewing of the city or getting some open air without leaving the hotel. The rooms are exactly as described. Lovingly decorated after famous painters, with charming details referencing each artist, no two rooms are alike (which encourages repeat visits) and have different sizes ranging from a standard room to a small suite with separate living room and sofa bed. Bathrooms are impeccably clean and have good water pressure (we visited in December '21). Water takes a couple of minutes to come out hot - possibly given how cold it gets during the early morning in the Autumn/Winter months, but no issues otherwise. I strongly recommend considering Casa Calderoni if travelling as a couple or with a group of adults (the hotel does not allow children under 14 which is a plus for some).

No real complaints - the property is truly excellent. The only issue we had during our stay was that the pillows that came with the bed were too tall (we are side-sleepers). This was addressed promptly by the staff who added thinner pillows to our bed upon request.

Wonderful location on such a pretty street. The B&B was completely charming, great breakfast, super helpful staff. very comfortable bed. quiet at night. We stayed in the Frida Khalo room which was wonderful. Luis was so knowledgeable, helpful, was able to get a car / cab for us. loved everything
