My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Carmen. It is a beautiful and elegant old style B&B close to everything. Our lovely room with bath was clean, quiet and spacious. And as others have mentioned, the breakfasts are delicious. We are in our late 60s and wanted a location which was close to the main square and to restaurants. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of Casa Carmen. It truly is wonderful. The staff are especially kind. If you are looking for something modern and glitzy this is not your place. But if you are looking for authenticity, elegance and old world charm choose Casa Carmen.

Breakfast was great. No huge, just perfect and it gave us the feeling that we were visiting family and that they were treating us with lots of love. Doña Betty, the cook was wonderful. She has been there for 40 years and she is part of Casa Carmen and its history. She share some details about the original house that were just precious.

I would suggest safety handles on the shower walls.

Breakfast was very good. The courtyard was wonderful to sit in and relax. Staff was friendly. There is a library with a take one leave one selection that was good. Room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect

Just a few things could be improved. There was no soap, only shampoo, for the first few days. Then a bar of soap appeared. No hair dryer. This was a problem.

Old and historic. Clean and comfortable. Lots of space and dressers for getting out of your suitcase. It felt like you stepping back in time. Charming and wonderful people

It is a bit older and had a couple of quirks

Spotless, comfortable, lovely. Miriam met us at the door and did everything she could to be sure we had what we needed. We chatted one day with the owner whose mother opened Casa Carmen in the 1950’s. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and cheerfully served. The coffee was excellent ! We could have stayed at a bigger hotel, but really appreciated this homey, accommodating spot. We will be back!

Can’t think about f a thing!

This place is beyond beautiful. The staff is amazing and they take good care of you. This was the best breakfast I had in Mexico (such quality and variety).

Some of the rooms are two floors and the stairs are a bit challenging. Just go up slowly and it will be fine.

I loved the looks , it’s a great, very clean outside

Two things I have to say is that the door’s lock gets locked from inside and the key must be used to open from inside, that’s very inconvenient

The hotel was very accommodating to all our requests, specially the help of Cynthia and Fernanda is very much appreciated. Although there were a few minor things, they were fixed immediately, to our satisfaction.

The place is beautiful, well located, with in walking distance to the activities in San Miguel de Allende.

Loved this little hotel. We will stay there again. There was a nice courtyard we could use. And the breakfast was very nice. The staff was wonderful.
