so our tour company booked my trekking partner and i 2 nights at Hotel Venecia nearby and we both agreed we didn't want to stay there another night. i just need a clean place to stay and i'm good. unfortunately my room at Hotel Venecia had a musty smell, bed was old, no shower curtain, shower had dirt? and for the life of me i couldn't get hot water. you also had to ask the front staff for towels. the staff were very friendly and the wifi was good. so i used the wifi to book at the Hotel Sofia for the next day. wow, what a difference. clean, spacious, bed was amazing, walk in shower with glass door worked awesome, hot water, towels were comfy. they had complimentary fruit for breakfast at their outdoor terrace. i would definitely stay here again if ever in the area again.

i had a great experience at Hotel Sofia, my only complaint would be that their wifi was kind of slow and if you end up on the 1st floor by check in it can be a little noisy with people right outside your room.

The room has a good size, bed was comfortable and the bathroom had hot water. The location is great! Just a couple blocks from the main square. The staff was very friendly and we left our luggage before and after check-in/check-out with no issues.

The room was very warm and they only provided an electric fan. We slept with the windows open but it was warmer inside the room than the outdoor temperature. The breakfast included is very small, coffee or tea, a small bread and small plate of fruit, however, they offer more option for very good price.

The place is close to the city center and it's very clean. The staff is nice and professional. Also they have a rooftop terrace with a view to the street. We got this place for around 450 pesos for which it's a great value. However, paying double that would feel a bit too much for this accommodation.

It was a pity there were no windows in our room. Also, the breakfast is not really a breakfast but rather a cup of coffee and an extremely small portion of papaya slices. You'll definitely need to order some more after that so take that "breakfast included" with a reserve.

Clean, spacious, and friendly, helpful staff. The view from my room was also nice. The service from the little cafe downstairs was excellent. And of course, excellent location.

Wifi was spotty at best. There was a lot of noise coming from the streets so if you're a light sleeper, don't choose a room with a view. The beds were incredibly stiff, so be aware.

VERY central location, about 8-minutes walking to the Zócalo and the Cathedral. Convenience stores within 1-1.5 blocks. Easy access to mass transit. Staff was very helpful in getting a taxi to the Central Bus station for my departure.

The hotel was in a great location, very central to all of the attractions - everything was in walking distance. Everything was lovely and clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor, and it did get quite stuffy and hot in there during the evenings. They did however provide a column fan which helped to keep the air circulating.

Great location, just two blocks away from the city center. Affordable and clean. Rooms were comfortable and nice. Hotel has a valet parking where they took good care of our car and its contents.

The breakfast it included was just fruit, coffee and sweet bread which was not specified in the offer. Adding a couple of eggs would not be a big added cost for the hotel yet it would make a big positive impact on the guests. A mat to place out of the shower is necessary as it gets very slippery and it poses a risk for guests.

The location was great and the hotel was good for the price - nothing upscale but I would say it’s good value. My television had some sound issues but everything else about the room was alright for what I paid.

Kind of small room and the bed could have been comfier… also the TV had poor audio but that’s probably only the case with mine

I fell in love with the bathroom and the details in the room and the bed was so comfortable also you have your own wardrobe with safety deposit box

The size of the room is small to my linking but all else is excellent 👌

Quiet room, a little claustrophobic as the only window was in the door. Nice bathroom, good shower. Breakfast was a joke.
