very nice tropical garden, nice patios to view the palm trees and sea, the pool and lawn chairs is a huge plus! the staff were amazing and very helpful , the head maintenance grounds keeper is unbelievable , he will fix any room issues right away and he will give all the info as to the best places to eat and snorkel . the property is also walking distance to the snorkelling reefs and beach bars ! The air conditioning worked like a charm and they have free coffee and hot water for tea by the pool , I like that the property is just outside of the main town so you can get away from the crazy crews ship crowds and taxis ! theirs 6-8 ships a day so it gets super busy downtown ! I rented a good scooter for 8 days , a must if you want to adventure the whole island and taste all the good food at the restaurants! or at least rent a car ! scooter rental is $2O/day US , with Grinch rentals , ask for santos ,

theirs a noisy cement factory in the distance that runs all night long ! if your a light sleeper , you will hear it through the shutters in the standard rooms, I moved to the superior room the next day and you won’t hear the noise their since theirs no shutters , but again I’m a light sleeper and it may not affect you at all! The hot water hardly worked in the standard rooms, but was hot and worked all the time in the superior rooms! well worth the up grade plus their way better rooms for your buck !

It is one of the oldest hotels on the island so it has some interesting architecture. The grounds are pretty and well kept. The staff is nice and helpful. It is low key and fits well with the island. While there was no on-site restaurant, Papa Hogs is right next door for a friendly inexpensive breakfast with good coffee, drinks, lunch and sunset restaurant is a short walk with good food and drinks as well.

There was no breakfast as they had before; no restaurant services at all. There was coffee in the morning but it tasted odd. I’m certain they used tap water and not bottled. It tasted salty. We tried it everyday thinking it would get better, but it never did.

The breakfast was very good and there was a good variety to choose from. Each entree included fruit, juice and a beverage. The staff was always attentive and went out of their way to meet our needs. The location is away from Centro and less hectic. Chaises in the garden were great for relaxing with a book. There was live music each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The Monkey Bar restaurant and beach club is across the street. They also operate the restaurant at the hotel. The OXXO mini mart is within walking distance for snacks and cerveza. Access to the water for snorkeling and bobbing is very easy via stairs from the pier.

The hotel is located around 40 mins walking from the city center in a quiet area and in front of the ocean. the taxi drive is about 7 minutes and prices were between 100-120 pesos one way. our room was super spacious and there was a big and comfortable bed and pillows. our air conditioning didn’t properly work but for us it was okay as we are no AC fans. the water pressure from the shower is very weak and it takes forever for the water to heat up. But also not a major problem for us. You get two bottles of water per room and you can refill them in recepción as many times as you want. a downside: the hotel doesn’t have any cafeteria therefore there is no cutlery available. just make sure once you go to the nearest Oxxo (market) or you order food, to buy or ask for cutlery!

in the shower: water pressure is super weak and the water takes forever to heat up. humidity is very high (expected) and AC wasn’t properly working. (but this wasn’t a major problem for us)

great little hotel right in front of the sea, the room we stayed was amazing, huge and comfortable. good location and facilities

try not to get the bed and breakfast option, the only problem we had was the staff at the restaurant. on our 3rd day really rude sweaty chef came out of the kitchen to shout at us because we complained that the breakfast was always late and inconsistent like one day without fruit, one day without bread even though it was written in the menu. he told us that the hotel doesn’t pay them enough which was non of our fault nor problem but ruined the breakfast for us that after that we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel again even though we had the breakfast already paid. i hope the hotel solves that problem for the future guests…

The Villablanca is a friendly hotel, staff helpful, owner on site as well. the pool is maintained, clean area, comfortable seating, as well as coffee and tables for guests to have their own meals.

Information on the location indicates they still have a restaurant, which they do not. They do not have a shuttle vehicle, so you have to take a cab anywhere you may wish to go. At $10US for the shortest taxi ride, this can add up quickly.

Lovely hotel and the rooms are clean and huge! The bathrooms are very nice and you have a small balcony with views out to the sea. Staff friendly and the pool there is really nice. There is a beach but it is very rocky and there were no loungers when we went down there.

Was further from town than I thought so you need a car to get about. You have to pay for the safe which is only $5 but still it should be free. The restaurant did not have a lot of the dishes listed on the menu available so limited choice but food ok if cannot get to town.

The staff were great and super friendly. The grounds were always being cleaned up and the pool was perfect. Daily they cleaned everything as well as our room when we went out It was my birthday as well so they gave me a room with a great view and made a little decoration on our bed for when we arrived

That we didnt have our own coffee pot but there was 1 in the restaurant just sometimes it was empty or had no sugar and cream. Other then that we loved it

Villablanca is an older property that is well maintained. The decor is dated but adds to the charm of the property. We preferred it to the sterile look of the Holiday Inn in playa. The staff of the hotel is pleasant. Breakfast, included with the room, was good and offered many options. The onsite restaurant is leased and operated by the owners of the Hairy Monkey Beach Club across the street. The staff at the restaurant and beach club are very attentive. The garden chaises are perfect for relaxing and reading when you aren't in the sea. We thoroughly enjoyed the live musical entertainment, poolside every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. We enjoyed the property and the access to the sea so much we extended our stay 4 additional nights. We will definitely return.

Great location.. we hired a jeep straight from getting off the ferry.. just a 5 minute drive to get to the hotel. Nicely positioned by the sea and excursions stand. Crystal clear water literally across the road.. helpful staff, answered any questions we had and allowed us to check in much earlier than the set time. Would recommend this hotel to friends to stay if they visited cozumel.

Damp on the curtains made the room smell a bit but a simple wash and problem solved.. other than that nothing to complain about
