Exceptional, as always. The doormen and staff are welcoming, friendly and well mannered. The staff always helps and makes us feel at home. The cleaning ladies take pride in their work and are very helpful as well. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and informative of Mazatlan and it's activities. The staff always stores our luggage for a few hours even after we check out. No rush, no hassle. We've stayed in over 20 different resorts in Mazatlan through out the years and this is one of our favorite spots in all of Mazatlan. The rooms are adequate and the location is centrally located with quick access to all necessities and shopping as well.

Location. Beach right outside the back of the hotel. Food available right in front of the hotel. Food from bar at good price and delicious.

The elevator during a rush takes way too long. It seems as if only one works at a time. There's only two in the whole hotel. When you rent a table, every staff member has a different answer on price and times available. Life guard can tone down the cop act when it comes to papers being wet when taking towels.

The staff was absolutely unbelievably amazing, they really are the ones who make this a wonderful place to stay. From Rita the housekeeper, to Jaime at the pool, Marcos one of the "bell hops", Arturo at the boutique and Lupita and Dora at the front desk. I don't recall everyone's names but absolutely without exception EVERYONE who works there is so so nice, professional and accommodating beyond belief.

Our first room was not great so we asked to move which they took care of immediately, then unfortunately our second room was so noisy (from the music at night to the construction during the day), we asked to move again which once again they accommodated so graciously. I would only say ask for a room with uneven numbers!! (such as 707 as opposed to 808!!)

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Great view from the balcony and decent price for an ocean view room. Pool is nice and the water was warm. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

I mainly booked this hotel because it has a hot tub and a workout room with an elliptical machine. I've lost weight and need to continue exercising regularly. I was disappointed that the hot tub wasn't working. It was warm but no bubbles. Also, there isn't a railing and no steps. My elderly father wanted to use it and it was scary getting him out! The elliptical machine was old, rusted, and super clunky. I did use it one day but I struggled. It was so jerky my back hurt later from it.

There is so many things we loved about Royal Villas for starters the staff everybody was so amazing a huge shout out to Jaime at the pool who was just a ray of sunshine, Marco who helped us get where we needed to go every time, the ladies who helped book are tours and of course the lovely ladies who gave me the most amazing massages. Location was perfect the beach was beautiful we were close enough to get anywhere we need to be loved every minute of it.

The only thing I can say is maybe a little updates in the furnishings but really we will be back again and again

Mazatlán is beautiful! Nice hotel with beach front. We stayed in one of the junior suites that were quite big and with decent view to the beach. The bathroom was big and the staff friendly. The location was good in one if the best areas of Mazatlán according to people we talked to and with restaurants and bars close by (although not a shirt walk to the city center). The city felt safe at all times!

I didn't mind, but one can tell the hotel is a bit old because there was a bit of rust in some kitchen appliances. So if you only like luxury then you might get a bit disappointed. The general areas are very nice though.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Food at the pool was good. Location was great. We had an ocean view. We enjoyed having a full kitchen. The room was big, very comfortable for a family of 5. Two full restrooms made getting ready easier.

The rooms can use some upgrades such as new mattresses and linens. I didn't bring wash clothes and they didn't have any. There was no hot water for the first few days.

The breakfast was wonderful, especially the fresh made rolls. The staff is amazing, even when super busy. The bar staff and food servers were the best. Cant say enough about them. Service was above and beyond.

There was construction going on in the neighborhood...very noisy during the day and loud music played nightly from 830 to 1230 pm across the street at Gus and Gus. This is no fault of The Royal Villas....just part of being in Mexico.

Staff excellent in all aspects of service. View from room and having a balcony a plus. The workout facility is good, and for cardio, the beach is off the pool deck. Pool service and bar were spot on. Room extremely clean and cleaning service on point. What did I like? The entire time at the resort and the location is perfect with reasturants and local store nearby.

We liked everything about the Resort! The staff was super friendly, they made us feel just at home. The food was delicious. The rooms were comfortable. The beach was very accessible. The pool was spacious enough. A very relaxing place to spend a family vacation!

We didn't like that the restroom's sink faucet was leaking so much when it was being used. We also feel that the sofa bed should of been of a normal (bigger) size for adults to sleep on.
