The pool was very close to our room & was very nicely maintained with plants & quality of water. perfect size for a small hotel. The room was clean & beds were great. Fridge in room. Everything including Ac & fan worked. Close by walking our taxi to everything downtown. Church & Plaza is just around the corner. Many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was served until 1 pm which was perfect for us as getting up late is part of a vacation. The heat in the middle of the day meant we generally went out after 6 pm. Free coffee all day long & chocolate Hersey drops were a nice touch. Chocolate bars & drinks available 24 hours a day meant we didn't have to go looking for a snack at 2 am. If we ever return to Merida this is my hotel of choice.

Not much really, the understated colonial ambience in the sitting area & unhurried atmosphere turned back the calendar to an earlier time when life was not so rushed.

This is a 21 room/3 floor hotel 100ft away from Parque Santa Ana in Merida. 2 blocks to Paseo de Montejo. 4 blocks to Parque Santa Lucia and 6 blocks to Centro square. It is hacienda style with the rooms facing inward to a beautiful pool/garden area. There is 24/7 desk support. The desk is located at the only entry to the hotel. It is extremely safe in an extremely safe neighborhood surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants. There is also a small breakfast/lunch restaurant within the courtyard. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. There are 5 parking spots in a private/enclosed area directly across the street. If those are occupied(never happened while we were there) parking is available on the street. I will definitely stay again! Oh, Also the A/C works great. However, while I was there it was only 90 outside and I didn't need it due to the rooms never being in direct sunlight.

I stayed in 2 different rooms. Only 1 hade a refrigerator.

We spent 3 weeks at Santa Ana and couldn't have asked for a better value for money experience. On request we were moved from a ground level room to the first floor to avoid being on the through way and found the room cool (during the hottest season), very clean and spacious. This is one of the most authentically Mexican hotels we have stayed at in Merida and we will return again for sure. The breakfast, lounge area and reception are very pretty and the staff attentive and helpful. The pool kept regularly cleaned and was a welcome relief from the excessive heat. Perfectly located for both Centro and Paseo de Monteo - explore the back streets to find lovely hidden away restaurants and bars. Thank you Hotel Santa Ana for a really enjoyable long stay visit.

The staff were very helpful and kind, suggesting places to eat, how to get to locations - buses etc. The location is quiet, easy walk directly to the main plazas, 10 min walk to one of the ADO locations for airport buses, 2 blocks to the bus stop for Progresso. Clean, the beds and pillows comfortable. Showers strong and hot. Nice small sitting area by the pool. Restaurant on site that offers breakfast choices, delicious and large portions. Coffee is available all day. Close to many restaurants and cafes. Mini fridge in room. Definitely would recommend for any length of stay.

Great deal for the money. Artsy and chill vibe w small thoughtful touches makes this a very comfortable and lovely stay. The location is awesome 1 block from statue of montejo w good eats and shops and community events. Everyone friendly, easy parking and lovely courtyard/ lounge/ breakfast area. Actually wanted to spend time there just relaxing. Much better deal than other hotel we stayed at nearby for around the same price. Loved the artistic comfy atmosphere!

Upstairs rooms seem better/ more private bc dont have as many guests walkin by open courtyard windows.

Almost everything was perfect. Staff were lovely and friendly. The setting around the pool is stunning. The room large and comfy. Free coffee was much appreciated and well located slightly away from the main part of town , in a arty neighborhood. Overall loved it

I hate to give less than 9 or 10 on here, but we stayed for 4 nights and on the last night we couldn't sleep at all due to a neighbour holding a rave with extremely loud techno (and not good techno) music until 6am... Even though it's not the hotels fault it did massively compromise our stay and the main reason for booking a hotel - to sleep. Sorry but worth letting others know in case it happens again.

The atmosphere of hotel Santa Anna was amazing and the general seating area and the pool were very cosy and perfect to cool down at during the hot days in Merida. The breakfast burritas were delicious and we met really cool people in this hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful as well. They had some nice restaurant recommendations. Also the location of this hotel is perfect. The old center is on walking distance and it was very easy to navigate through Merida. We also like that we were able to park on private property and not on the main road. We had a wonderful time!

Nothing! Everything was good. A minor tip: change the bright lights in the bedroom for some warmer light or add a few nightstand lights to make the lights in the bedroom a bit more pleasant.

The Hotel Santa Ana staff - especially Juan and the rest of the front-desk hotel staff - are welcoming, knowledgeable and excessively kind. The front desk is staffed 24-7 and were an exceptional resource for navigating the city - including booking a rental car last minute. The dedicated personal service felt like an experience from a bygone era of hotels before airbnbs and self check-ins. The rooms are modest but adequate. The hotel is in a great location and perfect launching-pad for exploring the city and surrounding area. We enjoyed reading by the pool in the patio, the delicious made-to-order breakfast and free coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

Nothing, everything was great.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The location is great and we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to see. The staff are super friendly and it's helpful that the front desk has a little tiendita selling drinks, so you never have to worry about finding water before coming back to the room. Breakfast goes until 1:00 PM, which was perfect on the mornings we wanted to take a little bit of extra time. And the biggest bonus was in the evenings, you could hear the music coming from Parque de Santa Ana when you were out on the terrace. Would absolutely come back.

The location is excellent! It's right by Santa Ana Plaza. By the way, make sure to check out the Santa Ana Night Market (Thurs to Sat, 6pm to 11pm). The garden/pool area is charming, and so is the terrace where the guests can have breakfast. I didn't get to try all of their breakfasts but the sandwich I ate was okay. The price for breakfast is between 100 and 150 pesos. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help!

There are only two hair dryers for the entire hotel. You have to go down to the reception to take it and then go back to return it which is not super convenient. The wifi connection is not the greatest and could be flakey at times, at least on the 3rd floor. At night, there is always loud music coming from different places (I guess?) but it's Mexico soooo embrace it!
