Riad Beldy has been recently refurbished so property is very clean with tradicional Moroccan features that have warm and welcoming feel. Location is very short walk to the beach and all the popular restaurants and shops Are just couple of minutes away,but at the same time is very quiet little street and you can have good night sleep! The Staff at Riad Are incredible,always there to help with any enquieries and everyone speaks English as well as French!Traditional breakfast served is very genereous and delicious! Excellent value,top marks for everything and mostly you would never want to leave ! Thanks for looking after us and making our stay amazing experiance!

The rooms were all right, the one on the lower floor having more character. The other room was on the top floor and some rooms were under construction. The included breakfast was served on the ground floor and it was OK, the usual Moroccan hotel breakfast. The location couldn't be more central and it's a quiet street.

They lock the front floor for the night and guests don't get a key for the door, which is strange and could be a serious in case of a fire or other emergency. They should change this.

Riad is located in the centre o medina which is great, it is simply decorated but you can feel moroccan atmosphere, very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast it is typical moroccan one with delicious mint tea ( or coffee ) and freshly squeezed juice, freshly made and served on the terrace so you can enjoy sunshine while eating. The riad also has a restaurant open in the evenings where you can eat very good traditional food (tagine, couscous etc.) I definitely recommend it and I will definitely go back there. What's also great is that it's not a posh place, you can feel absolutely comfortable and at ease there.

I liked everything. I really can’t think about anything I don’t like about Riad Beldy.

The Beldy is in a strategic position inside the medina of Essaouira. The staff is full of young and very nice people who speak good English like Reda and Ashraff, who were always attentive on all our requests. The riad is really nice and cozy, with our bedroom being a light-blue walled one with a super nice brown tadelakt bathroom and a lot of natural light. The rooftop terrace where we had breakfast was also very nice. Well protected on most sides, we never felt cold there even though the weather in Essaouira is almost always windy.

We would have enjoyed a bigger and more varied breakfast. This doesn't mean the breakfast was not good and tasty. The only other thing I have to point out, mainly for long-haired people, is a complaint from my girlfriend about the shower. Having long hair and needing to wash it, she experienced many drops in water pressure until not spraying water at all a couple times, and also the water temperature going from very hot to very cold. Everything else was fantastic

Great location with the charm of an authentic building. Pleasant staff, good breakfast.

The rooms are much darker than shown in the photos. The same for all the internal space. The smell of canalisation in the bathroom and limited air extraction were disturbing. Also, pity that the roof terrace is not fitted out. It would be so pleasant to have breakfast or a coffee or to chill on the roof.

Everyone in Riad made us feel welcome and they were always happy to help with anything We requested!The rooms are very clean,freshly painted and We enjoyed the terraces at two different levels with beautiful views of Medina.The location is great to explore all parts of the city and it has something for everyone to offer weather you like to enjoy quite time or busy nightlife!The breakfast area is so traditionaly decorated and breakfast is so delicious! Amazing value!

There was nothing that We didn’t like

Right in the middle of the medina. It was were clean, rooms were big.

This was an unexpected little gem with an amazing location. We were delighted with the walkability to restaurants, the beach, fish markets, etc. Our room was perfect for our party of 3 with our son wanting/needing his own space. The loft-style suited him perfectly. Above all else, the hospitality of the staff was exceptional. We felt so welcomed and very comfortable to consult the staff with a variety of questions ranging from bus travel to additional recommended restaurants. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and had the opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea in the lobby restaurant. We had originally only planned to stay just one night, but extended our stay to 2 nights mostly due to the hospitality and comfort. We had just come from a one night stay in Marrakech at a riad that was 4x the price and nowhere near matched this stay.

The wifi was not super strong, but that was not a concern of ours as we were in Essaouira to see the sites. It was definitely still strong enough for our purposes.

Rooms where unique , spacious and clean, with traditional styling aspect with all the modern conveniences, such as wifi on every floor , the complimentary breakfast was delicious and not too early and the location was like 5 minutes from the beach and very easy to get back and forth from, there's a range of diverse resteruants literally feet from the Hotel and a bunch of stores right around the corner

Staying at Riad Beldy made a great trip perfect! All of the staff (receptionists, cook and cleaning ladies) were genuinely hospitable, friendly, kind and super helpful.  Our cozy room was gorgeous - very comfortable, warm beds and constant hot water with good shower pressure.  Housekeeping was daily with clean bedlinen and towels regularly supplied.  Breakfast time was relaxed and delicious... freshly baked bread, olives, cheese, jams and the best coffee and orange juice in town - plus the divine daytime complimentary mint tea was an unexpected bonus!  We are vegetarian and enjoyed some delicious veggie evening meals (always prepared and served with love) and heard lots of compliments about their fish dishes too.  The Riad Beldy is centrally located with panoramic views from the beautiful rooftop terrace and everything else on your doorstep… the hustle and bustle of local life, ancient architecture, art galleries, fabulous shops and quirky miniature restaurants.  The stunning beach with quiet sun-lounging cafes, surfing and, at the far end, pristine dunes and camel life, is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.  Overall, I would highly recommend the Riad Beldy and hope to visit again soon!  Many thanks to Jalil and his wonderful team for making us feel so welcome..🙏
