This Ryad was definitely one the best experiences I had at an accomodation and definitely one the best part of our visit to Marrakesh. The staff is amazing, beyond helpful, they make you feel like royalty. The decoration is amazing, each room has it's own character. The Ryad is quite big and even when it's full you don't bump with other guests that often. The pool is a great add on after a long day at the ryad. The rooftop is enormous (great for sunsets. We ate breakfast and dinner at the ryad and the food was amazing and with good portions. I have read that the location is far, but I didn't felt that, and if you plan going to some outside tours the location of the ryad makes more sense since it's at the entrance of the medina. Overall, I couldn't recommend enough. (Also they have two very friendly cats that roam around)

We loved the intricate details, elegant design and a special atmosphere at Dar Chibania. Located at the edge of the busy Medina it’s a true oasis to get yourself grounded, rejuvenated and completely relaxed. The team is what makes the experience very special. We felt as we were invited as dear friends, not even customers. The whole team provides exceptional service and helps with any request the best they can. It was our vacation away from the very tiring part of the year and we arrived completely exhausted but just in a week we felt renewed and rebalanced. Loved the cats - Miel and Praline - they complemented our slightly chilled winter evenings with snuggles. Definitely recommend as a special location to rejuvenate and restore your energy in the heart of busy Marrakesh.

A small recommendation for improvement can be to make the ingredients for deliciously cooked meals more clearly specified. My partner had a mild nut allergy and it was a bit difficult to explain in English.

The interiors and decor were breathtaking. Dar Chibania is an absolute sanctuary in the midst of the chaos outside. I adored every minute I spent at this property. Pascal the owner was very helpful as were all the staff, particularly Abdell who was fantastic! The room was spacious and well appointed. Beautiful interiors throughout filled with objects d’art. The food was good amd the pool a real bonus for cooling off when needed. I cannot fault this property or its management and would choose it again ahead of any other riads I saw in this trip.

Wow! Dar Chibania exudes luxury and tranquility. This wonderful place offers peace, tranquility and creative inspiration . We were looked after from the moment we arrived at the airport. Our pick up was smooth and extremely warm and friendly. We were then met by wonderful staff member at the taxi and welcomed to the hotel. I personally recommend using the pick up option as the hotel may be tricky to find for some taxi drivers. Our taxi driver spoke very good English and was super helpful and polite. The hotel is situated close to the south east of the medina wall and located within the traditional part. You will encounter more local residents vs tourists. Thea riad is an absolute gem amongst some not so well developed parts. From the rooftop, you will get a feel for the more raw and authentic nature of Marrakesh and its people. It’s a vibrant place indeed with lots of character. You will hear children playing, market sellers, prayers, motorbikes, chickens, cats and dogs. Please note this is a Muslim country, I recommend being respectful and mindful of what you wear as you will often find yourselves walking in the busy streets just with the locals. It is about 20 mins to the main plaza. If you’re wearing something deemed disrespectful be prepared to be looked at. The pool is a nice size for swimming and there is an abundance of places to sunbathe outside . If you want to catch some shade there are also so many places to sit with a book and or you can even play chess. Theres a couple of cats that roam around their kingdom and are well looked after. I adore cats so it was nice to be graced with their presence from time to time whilst also hearing and seeing the wonderful birds fly in and shower the riad with their songs We took the Fatiha suite full of stylish grandeur. Our beds were made every day and we loved coming back there to rest and relax. The AC was appreciated. The bath and shower had lots of room and we were provided with clean towels daily.

Absolutely nothing.

The Dar truly feels like home. Having spent four nights at the riad, followed by another hotel and riad in Morocco, I can confidently say this was my favourite place to stay. Highly recommend staying here! The rooms are stunning, the riad is tastefully decorated, and one can find several cosy nooks to relax in after a long and chaotic day of exploring. Kudos to Pascal and Isabelle for decorating each area of the riad thoughtfully and creatively. Everything seemed to have been planned to perfection and thought out for us. The swimming pool had absolutely clear water and was located in a beautiful corner with flower petals sometimes falling onto the water. The terrace also is beautifully decorated with a view of the mountains (do see the sunrise). The staff were simply wonderful. Each and every one of them made our stay extra special with their smile. They themselves make us want to return to Marrakesh. I wish them all the very best The cats were the most loving little creatures who made it difficult to leave the riad each day. Marrakesh has LOTS of cats, but Miel and Praline have a piece of our hearts. Some notes about the location: if you plan to mostly take taxis, it is very convenient since it’s right by the medina gate. It should be noted that the riad is in the more lived in part of the medina, meaning less tourists and more residential with its hustle and bustle. This may feel intimidating, since you have to walk these streets for at least 10 minutes before reaching the more touristy parts of the medina. As with anywhere in Marrakesh, being a confident and self aware tourist helps in these parts… just don’t listen to men offering you any help. Google Maps worked perfectly for us and we always returned to the riad by 9pm while there were still families and women out and about. I personally would not wander this region beyond 10pm. Importantly, the riad makes you forget the busy-ness of the outside the moment you step in.

The staff was fantastic- very helpful and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The Riad was our favorite of the whole trip. When the kiddos were tired of wandering around outside- they could explore the Riad for hours or just sit and play chess. Also when we had flight issues on our last day, they were able to accommodate us for an extra night and made sure we had a reliable secure transport to the airport the next day. The food was also outstanding. I could go on and on. Just stay there- you’ll see.

SUCH a gorgeous riad, I’m really glad we chose Dar Chibania. Personally, we loved the location. Not in the central Medina area, but it was very quiet and set apart. We felt very safe calling taxis from the nearest Bab (gate) on our own, and also getting back at night. We loved the food, the staff, our room, the pool, all the reading areas, and the roof lounge areas. I’m so glad I booked this riad because it was even more gorgeous that I expected and we felt very much at home. Everything is artfully and tastefully decorated with intention, and we loved escaping back to our riad after going around the city. There are also two resident cats that we fell in love with. We highly recommend this riad, especially for the pool and the authentic Moroccan vibes.

We loved everything!

I just got back from a long weekend at Dar Chibania and I honestly couldn't speak about it any more highly if I tried. Absolutely everything was gorgeous - no detail was overlooked. From the way the staff took care of me and the incredible meals cooked by the chef, to the incredible decor of the riad, this was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Such an oasis of elegance, luxury and tranquility, and on the edge of the medina! I'll be back as soon as I can, trust me!

There is such a wonderful atmosphere in the hotel, I don't think the music that was played at breakfast and over dinner was strictly necessary. Maybe for an hour or so before dinner, but certainly in the morning if you wanted to sleep in a little, the music made it pretty tricky. However, that is my only slight 'complaint', and it didn't impact my enjoyment of the stay.

Absolutely fabulous Riad. The decor is really beautiful and so well done. There are so many different terraces and seating areas to enjoy the sunshine and just chill. We had a lovely swim in the pool after a long day out. It was really nice to cool off and relax the muscles. We stayed in the family room and it was perfect for us. Myself and my daughter also booked in for a 30 minute back massage and it was a real treat. What really stood out for us about Dar Chibania is the incredible staff. They are so friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure meeting everyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Just mention as well that the hotel can organise tuk tuk’s to take you to the square or anywhere in the medina if you find it hard to navigate the streets. We found it to be a fun experience too!

The beds were a little hard but I really am being picky here, it is a wonderful Riad.

The people who work at Dar Chibania are amazing! From the first moment you feel welcome, because of them! It is a perfect place to relaxed, enjoy the sunset at the roofterrace and swim a bit to refresh! And not to forget: the breakfast is really good! Also the place is a real treasure, the decoration, the different rooms you can hang out, such as the library!

Everything was just perfect!
