The Riad had a very comfortable beautiful courtyard, which was very relaxing to sit in and enjoy time. There's no doubt that the staff was very kind, friendly and polite and were available all the time to help you. Ibrahim the manager who was there for a temporary period was very helpful. Abdu who did the evening duties was very cooperative and helpful. Mariam and her friend were pleasant and kind and Brought a smile on our faces. The breakfast they made was super yummy and filling and we were always given different varieties. If you wanted an egg or an omelette you could always ask as a request and receive the best omelette made. We had a lovely time at the Riad.

We were a little disappointed as there were no amenities provided in the room. For example, tea, coffee or a kettle to make a hot beverage when needed. Everything was on room service whereas many other places have this provided inside the room free of charge. There was no water provided, we had to buy water. Any tea or coffee ordered had to be paid as well. There was no table in the room nor a waste bin. A table is a basic necessity that was not in the room and we had to eat with the plates on our laps. The shower definitely needs upgrading because it was a very small shower head, which didn't give a satisfying clean feeling. This definitely needs to be changed in order to give a relaxing and much needed cool shower in the hot country.

The Riad was like a hidden oasis in a storybook. Each day we would discover new hidden gems. The main area was shaded much of the day for comfortable sitting, eating and relaxing. The sun hit the pool which remained cool in the heat at the perfect time of day. Turtles were found roaming slowly around. The staff was continuously cleaning, smiling and checking in. The decor was authentic, doors and hardware and windows all traditional and beautiful. The rooftop deck area was stunning with additional WiFi if needed. Our room was easily accessible on the main level and it was a family suite with two bedrooms (one with a double) and a sitting area, and a separate bathroom and shower. There was AC in the main room which cooled the whole space easily. But the true gem and positive energy comes from the staff. Starting with Gaelle, the owner, who was 100% responsive in email and messages, the staff — Muhamed especially, answered questions, helped arrange tours and guides, booked the Hamman (scrub and massage), etc. they care for you like family. And the FOOD. The dinner we booked upon arrival was perhaps the best meal we have ever had. Breakfast (standard continental style with a Moroccan twist, with variations on the theme daily) was served with care each morning. We booked lunch too. Delicious… amazing. I would rate higher if I could.

We truly loved everything. The toilet seat was a bit loose, they can easily fix it. I did have a hard time opening the gate / door with the key but I was turning too hard!

Communication with the Riad before we arrived was excellent and we arranged a driver to take us from the airport. I can't begin to explain how beautiful the Riad is, it is stunning and a very relaxing oasis in the hustle of the Medina. We visited with two teens and very much appreciated having a suite with separate bedroom for the kids and close to the pool etc. Breakfast was delicious, pancakes, cake, yogurts, all very nice. The Riad were very accommodating of us eating inside to escape the insects who also fancied some. The inside space was welcoming and we enjoyed a game of Moroccan Monopoly. The Riad was about a 20-30 minute walk from the middle of the Medina. It felt safe, needed to be on alert for motorbikes. It was about a 15 minute walk from Jardin Marjorelle. Because we were visiting in the height of summer we went out in the morning and spent time in the afternoon around the pool which was shaded and beautiful. The teens loved the tortoises too. Thank you Riad Laila.

The Riad was amazing, it was away from the main Medina so involved a bit of walking or could arrange a taxi but it didn't stop us getting out and about.

This is a delightful oasis of peace and tranquillity in a residential corner of Marrakesh which means it is very quiet. The owner, Galleywood, is charming and she has wonderful staff who are friendly and will do anything for you. Special mention of Amin, a charming young man who was a big help to us in our 'difficult' moment. 😉 The central courtyard is cool and welcoming and has a small pool which is perfect for hot, hot days. The roof area is delightful and very well set out. Breakfast was excellent and dinner lovely but you need to order at breakfast time so don't miss out if you plan to stay in to eat. Remember, this is a Riad and NOT a hotel, so if you want hot and cold running room service, it's not for you . However, if you want a VERY competitively priced superior welcome in a totally relaxing setting, you MUST come here.

The only thing that could be upgraded was the shower. The bathroom itself was gorgeous but it was the hand-held type which left a bit to be desired. However, that did not spoil our stay in any way.

Riad Laila is a friendly and luxurious retreat from the bustling Medina . The staff are all friendly and helpful and there was a gorgeous breakfast by the pool each morning with a choice of pancakes, cake, yoghurt and fruit. Mohammed is especially helpful and always around during the day if you need anything. You can eat dinner and lunch at the riad but you need to organise this in advance. We arrived late but were helped by staff to organise a take away, which was much appreciated. The riad is slightly out of the main area but still a pleasant walk in to the main square. I found my Strava app worked well and helped us find our way there and back no problem. Don’t rely on Google maps it doesn’t work in the medina. Nice luxuries such as towels by the pool and good WiFi. Pool is big enough for 4-5 people to cool off in, much bigger than we expected. It was a pleasure to meet all the staff and I would recommend staying at Riad Laila . Many thanks

Staff brilliant, very willing to help. Location perfect for getting into main square, and new town, for taxis, souks but also very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful courtyard and terrace. Very good breakfast- lots of food and drinks. Liked the pet tortoise. Arrival- great intro to Marrakech with map and recommendations. Arranged taxi for us on departure, thank you!

Staff were really helpful and lovely but communication was sometimes tricky with our limited French and their limited English. On arrival, could have done with being told where to go for breakfast/what time and how to access rooftop terrace.

Fantastic Riad, literally a little Oasis at the edge of the Medina wall, comfortable lounge room, incredible courtyard garden with small pool and singing birds, very comfortable and shaded. Also decent space on the roof terrace. We had a one of the larger suite rooms and were very pleased, traditional style. Mohamed and the team that cared for the Riad and guests looked after us extremely well and were very helpful and friendly. The Tagines here for lunch were better than all the restaurants we ate at, breakfast was also nice. Thank you Mohamed and the Laila team, we will definitely return on our next trip to Marrakesh.

Nothing really

Beautiful, tranquil Riad with the nicest staff. Despite the hustle and bustle outside, the Riad is quiet and calm. Beautiful architecture and spacious rooms that transported us to a different time (but thankfully still had outlets for devices). There are games and books in the common area, a pool for cooling off, and orange trees all around the main courtyard. The meals made here are delicious and they accommodated our party's many dietary restrictions. Shout out to Mustafa, who met us at the pedestrian gate in the dark (after a loooong customs line) and carried our suitcases through the alley, showing us the way; Mohammed who helped us place a delivery order when we came back from a tour too late to make lunch and called for a driver for our transfer; Nadjoie who always greeted us with warmth at breakfast and made sure we had food that met our restrictions. Everyone was so kind with our child and all of us, could not recommend them more.

Just notes, not anything to dislike: If your room faces the main courtyard, the birds are very chatty at sunrise and you'll be able to hear other patrons as they come back at night and eat dinner. Light sleepers will want to bring earplugs. And as is true with all riads there are ledges and steps to look out for.

A beautiful, secluded Riad with very helpful and accommodating staff. Our room was lovely, very spacious, quiet and immaculately presented. The home cooked meal we had on the first night was delicious; the little pool was perfect to cool off in, and we even met the resident tortoise.

It's very hard to find fault with this, because it was incredibly good value for money and beautifully kept, but if I had to say one thing, it would be that as a tall man I do value a shower I can stand underneath. The shower was great, but I had to hold it above my head on one hand. Hardly a negative really - most people aren't as tall as me...

Our stay in this Riad was excellent. It allows you to live the true cultural experience. The Riad is in the Medina but away from the hustle and bustle, which makes for a good rest. You can easily get to the main sights on foot. The friendliness of the staff was incredible. Mohamed and the rest of the team were always super attentive, friendly and professional. We took a half-day tour organized by the Riad and recommended by Mohamed and it went very well! The breakfast food was always fresh and varied. The pool area is very beautiful. The room we stayed in had everything we needed for comfort. The air conditioning always worked and the cleaning was done daily. In short: everything was incredible. I'll definitely be Back!!
