I loved everything about this riad! What I loved the most was how welcoming the staff were. They didn't just treat us as guests but as a part of their family! They have helped us in every way even with the tiniest things like setting up a local sim card and giving tips on our way around. They made sure we were comfortable and safe like they would even check on us every time we were out making sure we were not lost and that everything was okay. Shall I say, we gained ourselves a Moroccan family during our trip.
There's nothing to not like really. If you're looking for a traditional Moroccan stay with all that Moroccan vibe then this is the place! Run by a true Moroccan family! But if you're wanting all the amenities that most high end hotels would offer, then this isn't it.

One term for this lovely little hotel is 'Moroccan cozy'. Running against the trend in the neighbourhood of new expensive Riads with European-faux-Moroccan minimalism (and European prices), this Riad, that only opened earlier in 2023, lovingly celebrates the crammed aesthetics of a middle-class Moroccan extended family. The breakfasts and dinners (that must be ordered earlier in the day) are healthy and exceptional as is the large, two-tiered terrace where meals are served. The second Riad operated by this family, this tranquil address is at the end of a long almost mythic, pedestrian alley. This is a perfect location for cultural tourism on foot in Marrakech. Taxis can only go to 100 metres from this hotel so with much baggage, look for an elderly porter with a two-wheel cart by the taxis with a two wheel cart and be generous (suggested: 50 to 100 dirhams as in €5-10).
Some of the adjacent streets are crowded and sometimes dominated by tourists. Fortunately, this long passage, with this hotel at the end, is an oasis of tranquillity.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Lalla Marrakech! If you are not sure what a riad is, please do your research so you know what to expect as far as the construction of the house -- Riad Lalla is built as all typical riads, with a square patio/courtyard in the middle and two floors above surrounding the square, looking down into the courtyard. There are 7 or 8 guest rooms, total. The rooms' doors and windows open into the center toward the square patio (not to the outside walls) and rooms are located on each level of the riad. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace that has a beautiful view of the mosque's minaret at night. It might seem dark in the building on the bottom floor, but that is the way riads are constructed to help beat the heat. Our beds at Riad Lalla were comfortable, and our room was cleaned and tidied with fresh towels every day. The absolute best part was the fabulous family who owns and runs the riad. Yusra, the daughter, texted with me through Booking.com before our stay, and she happily accompanied me to the ATM when I first arrived to show me where it was and how to get to and from the riad. Her brother Adnane was attentive to our every need. He was very friendly and helped me practice my French every day. The breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast of msemmen, braghrir, and batbout, and when asked, Adnane happily explained what they were and how to eat them. The most enjoyable part of our visit to Marrakech was having long and interesting conversations with Adnane and his cousin about life in Morocco! One last suggestion: Riad Lalla offers an airport pick-up service, which I recommend, as initially the location seems a bit confusing to find. It was super easy to have the driver pick us up, then Adnane came and met us (you have to walk about 100-200m from the nearest parking lot.) However, after Yusra showed me the path just once, it really was very easy to find and the neighborhood became very familiar.
Nothing -- we loved everything about our stay! As another reviewer mentioned, if you are looking for a luxury hotel with lots of amenities, then book at a luxury hotel. But if you are looking for an authentic experience with a personable and friendly family in a clean, comfortable environment, then Riad Lalla is the best! As with almost any experience in a foreign country, your efforts to connect with the locals are generally rewarded, and that was certainly the case here!

We were welcomed earlier than the arranged check in. They let us sit on the rooftop and made us mint tea and an amazing platter of local food whilst our room was prepared. Every day our room was cleaned and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were eager to help at every point. They were very knowledgeable about things to do and how long it would take to do them, so we could squeeze the most out of the time we had there. They promptly printed out our boarding passes the day before we left as we didn’t realise that digital passes didn’t work at Marrakesh airport. A great and authentic stay from start to finish.
We were very happy across the board! 😊

Close to the souq area of the city. They offered good moroccan style of breakfast. Special mention to Adnan, he is very helpful, well mannered staff and accommodating to my questions. He met us early in the morning in the alley and offered his personal adaptor for us to use. ❤️
It will be hard to navigate, specially if it’s ur first time to visit the Riad.

Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, everything was very clean, and breakfast was amazing! Adnane, the manager, was so friendly and accommodating to us even though we arrived past the check-in window and woke up late for breakfast! He really made us feel welcome for our first time in Morocco! We would absolutely recommend this sweet, family-owned and operated riad to anyone!! Be sure to check out the rooftop - the view of the city and the Koutoubia Mosqué is wonderful.
Nothing!

Pretty much everything was nice. Clean, new, amazing decorations, happy and respecful and energetic hosts. If you ask something, they just do it :)
1- They dont give you a key for the main door, which means you need to ring the bell everytime to get in. This is not optimal since it disturbs other rooms, especially when you arrive late. (or when somebody arrives late, they wake you up with the bell) 2- Breakfast was amazing and delicious, but service is a little bit caotic. One day you get the coffee with the breakfast, next day 10 minutes later, unfortunately no standart.

Breakfast was very good
The bathroom could have been better with the drainage and ventilation. And the room lighting needs improvement. The property was hard to find in Google map and we were shown the property by some guy who claimed he is the security and then demanded money for it and got into an argument with us . The host said that this is everyday problem. Not good at all for tourists if they need to experience this .

The experience in the Riad was incredible. We feel like home. Adnane and his family are so kind, helping us with everything we need. Even teaching us some arabic words. The rooms are very good, but the best was the terrace. The location is great, just 5 minutes to zoco and near Jemaa el-Fna square. We will repeat in the future, we have great memories.

The breakfast is typical and very good. The Riad is near the Souk around 15 minutes. The family is very careful to make sure that it goes well When I went, it was the birthday of a Spanish customer and they organized a surprise party in his honor and we were invited.
The room is a bit small but we didn’t come in Marrakech to spend our time in it, and there is the rooftop.
