We only stayed for one night. We ordered dinner at their restaurant when we arrived, which was good and fast. We were given the corner room with balcony and incredible views of the canyon. The place was very clean, and the receptionist/server was very helpful and explained the hiking route to us. They also let us have breakfast early so we could leave for the hike early. WiFi and cell reception was surprisingly excellent. The location is very good, about a 5 minute drive to the start of the hiking trail. Parking is available onsite.

It was VERY windy that night so the shutters fighting the gusts kept us up a bit. The hot water takes a very long time to get warm and supply is a bit limited.

The dinner is amazing. So friendly personel and you could choose from a great variety of dishes. Very helpful staff that would really go the extra distance to help you with everything from cooling your beverages and recommending activities in the area.

Would be nice with som chairs and a small table on the balcony. The cleaning in the corners and window shelves and the quality and cleanliness of the sheets could have been better. In my opinion, considering the price of 1 night, this is not a big thing but still something that could be improved. Also a bottle of water in the room would have been nice.

We were welcomed like a part of the family. The owners kids took us for a tour to the nearby river, old village and finally to the gorges but through gardens and paths which we would newer find by ourself. We were so happy to experience such lovely and unexpected journey to the famous gorges by foot! It is just a walking disctance. Food was delicious and very traditional. Rooms are clean with hot water, comfortable beds , air conditioning which works both in winter (heating) and summer when it is too hot. We had a nice view from the balcony to the valley and could see the sun rise just from our bed.

We spent 2 weeks in Morocco, staying in 7 different hotels. Most were more expensive, but this one was the best! My girlfriend and I were supposed to stay here for one night, however due to a problem at a previous hotel (earthquake damage), we arrived at La Petit Gorge two days early, staying a total of three nights. I am pleased to say there is no damage to the hotel following the earthquake and everything is absolutely fine. We arrived at about 8.30pm, and Hamid was straight outside to greet us before we had even turned off the cars engine. We then met the owner, Hussein, who later told us he comes from a traditional nomad Berber family and that he was born in a cave. Our room was on the top floor at the back, with a balcony and great view. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was quite small, but absolutely fine and very clean. We ate all our meals at the hotel, which were excellent. Hamid and Hussein are happy to arrange food at any time. One morning, we left at 6am and went for a circular walk through the mountains (Hamid showed us the route on a map). Before we left, Hussein had already said there was no problem if we were late back and food would be there for us. We were able to have a full breakfast at around 10.30am! At most hotels we would've missed it! Meals are generally served in the sun lounge/terrace at the rear of the hotel, however you can sit wherever you like. There's a central lounge (which is cool and darker - very nice when it's hot), another lounge at the front of the top floor, and also a big roof terrace with panoramic views and some tables in the shade. All these areas are available to use at any time. It is easy to walk to the Gorge from the hotel. On the first day we drove, then realised it was so close we didn't need to take the car. It takes about 15 minutes on foot, maybe 20 for slower walkers. If you enjoy walking and exploring, stay here at least 2 or 3 nights.

Bathroom was small, but functional. For the price, I'm definitely not unhappy! Overall our room was very big.

The owner and staff of La Petite Gorge were the most accommodating and hospitable you could ever hope for after the long and arduous day the three of us had after a day off road on motorcycles in the mountains. Arriving at 9:30pm exhausted, they straight away took our food orders and got things underway while we unloaded the bikes, got to our room and washed up. When we came down 20 mins later, dinner was ready and the owner stayed with us and talked for a while after. The food was wonderful as was the mint tea. Breakfast again was on the money and we decided to stay a second night. The view from the room was amazing, looking right across the communal gardens of the Todra valley, over to the gorge itself.

Nothing really comes to mind. It was a very nice well run family auberge getting back on its feet after a 2 year covid delay.

This roadside hotel has 4 storeys down the side of the gully down from Todra Gorge with a panoramic terrace where you can have breakfast and dinner overlooking the "gardens" which are, very rare for Morocco, fluttering with birdlife. The gardens are really vegetable allotments alongside the river which happen to have plentiful tall trees. The family are very keen to make up for the 2 years lost to COVID-19 and run a deservedly popular restaurant, she is a great cook and the dinners we had here were easily the best we had in Morocco. The family will also describe or guide the very worthwhile walk up the Gorge (looping over the tops in ~6 hours with spectacular views) and intervene in the most helpful and decent way with the local Berber carpet makers and artisans, utterly necessary in buying local products.

It was very cold at night in the mountains when we visited in November and there is no such thing as central heating in Morocco. The problem is solved by turning the air conditioner to chaufe to heat the room instead.

The dinner was very good, the breakfast was OK (no eggs, great coffee). The hotel offers guide services for nice hikes in the area close to the hotel. This was a very nice experience. Very, very friendly staff. Parking in front of the hotel.

The beds were not great. The shower takes a long time to get warm.

My favorite stay in Morocco by far. I loved everything about this place. The location is beautiful. The hotel is situated in a small village in the mountains along the Todra river (I could be wrong with the name of the river, but it is amazing). The hotel has a roof terrace as well as a first level porch to take in the amazing scenery. The rooms as well were large and cozy. The family that runs the place are so kind and hospitable as well. They made us feel like we were part of their family. Truly great people. Also worth mentioning, they prepared dinner and breakfast for us. The goat tagine was my most memorable meal during my trip. They also provided a great breakfast as well.

The location was perfect. Just minutes by car to Todra Gorge. I had a place to park my vehicle. The view from the room was beautiful. It overlooked the palm valley with Berber village in the background. The restaurant terrace was amazing and our service was spot on. They did everything to make us feel at home. The owner even deployed his young son to take us on a hike down to the valley to experience the lush valley with Berber farmland. He was so cute! All in all, they treated our group like family and I would not hesitate to recommended them anyone who wants to stay near Todra Gorge.
