Location is fabulous. The view of Annapurna mountain range is magnificent. The staff at the hotel is courteous and very friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Special thanks to Laxmi who attended to us during dinner at Kundali restaurant , Thamraj and his team from housekeeping for making my birthday and our marriage anniversary special by sending us a delicious complimentary cake and taking care of all the things to make our stay comfortable and memorable , Kirti and his support team ( Saraswati- for being an excellent Pokhara guide , Sharmaji- for driving us around in Pokhara ) from travel desk for organizing and planning our local tours and treks in an excellent manner.

Dinner could have been better with additional options in menu. Buffet should not be charged for children at least up to 12. Buffet was not value for the money it was being charged for kids and also considering the contents of the items ( number and type and cost). So we decided for Al la Carte only which was better choice.

The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and very helpful. The food was delicious. The overall atmosphere was amazing.

There were sporadic electricity blackouts (lasting a few minutes) a few times per day. My last night, there was no hot water in the shower.

THE CHEF VICKY WAS AN AMAZING PERSON. HE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO CATER AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS DINNER. HE WAS SO PLEASANT AND PERSONALLY ATTENDED TO US. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYBODY VISITING POKARA TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL. STAFF ARE EXTREMELY PLEASANT.

Room very spacious, comfortable bed, bathroom big size too- but no balcony for the price we’ve paid. Breakfast was fantastic!!! Tourist town is 10mins drive-be careful about the extortionate price they charge foreigners for excursions, don’t book it via the hotel always do your research by going out to the town. There’s a lot to compare with. 😕

Hotel is good and very spacious. However staff was not well trained as new. Probably aftermath of Covid 19. Also hotel is not in central area i.e. it not near Lakeside.

the hotel is dated and extremely expensive for what you get. rooms don’t have balconies and the restaurant is gloomy and only inside eating available. certainly not 5 star- more like 3 star

April 29th–May 1st 2022 I wrote a 1000-word review for this hotel but booking has a word limit When I arrived to the hotel I was shocked. The building is really old and worn out. I genuinely thought I was in the wrong hotel and had to check the spelling again. It NOT old in a vintage, wooden, retro beautiful way, it is just old and ugly. It seems like a 3-star hotel at maximum. When we walked in, we were surprised that there was no elevator. I’m travelling with my dad who is 68 years old and has bad knees. We were accompanied from the lobby to the hotel room, and as soon as we walk in, we notice the lighting is extremely dim. Even when all the lights in the room are lit, you can barely see anything. I had to use flashlights to see around the room. We were also given 1 electromagnetic card key even though we are two guests, AND the key has to go into the master pocket for the electricity to work, so basically, we had 0 keys if we wanted electricity. The employee taught us how to connect to the WiFi before leaving the room, which didn’t work as well. I called the front desk to send someone, and they didn’t, so I asked again and they did. The gentleman kept trying to fix my phone even though the phone said the error is from the internet, and my laptop and iPad were not connecting. After explaining the issue is not from the phone for more than 45 minutes, they decided to change the router, and the WiFi worked. Now we are settled, and it's time to unload our luggage. I asked about a safebox where I can put my valuables and the room didn’t even have one. Before sleeping I spot a big lizard on the wall. Me, my roommate, a lizard, and disappointment shared the room. Outside the hotel, there is very little to enjoy. The roads are extremely bumpy and not even equipped for cars. The stores are not what a tourist would like, they are mainly targeted at locals and you feel out of place. The streets are barely lit. Do yourself a favor Do NOT stay in Hotel Pokhara Grande
