The property is situated in a convenient location with a historic and well decorated front and an interesting steep staircase which is characteristic of the city of Amsterdam and the period in which the building was built. It is a good city for young people and people of every age. The reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and let me sit in the lounge/waiting area with access to the kettle/coffee before I could check in as I arrived early, so it was no problem arriving in the morning. I was in a shared bedroom with 8 others and there were plenty of points for charging, and plus it was not too crowded or noisy so I could rest in the day when I arrived to be awake for the evening’s exploring. There were also curtains to use if needed. I thought the lounge/smoking area was tidy and sociable and there was fresh filler herb for anyone to use. People made conversation and there was a general friendly vibe.
I thought that there could have been more room in the bathrooms and it was perhaps a lot of people to have eight in one room, although it was a large room we stayed in and there was space underneath the beds to put stuff away.

I only stayed for a day (didn’t sleep there) because my flight got delayed so I only used the bedrooms for keeping my luggage and the shower inside the shared room. It was a womens only room and it was very clean, the beds didn’t look bad at all. The guy in reception was nice and very helpful and its really well located right in the center of amsterdam close to shops and bars and restaurants.
I saw comments saying that the common rooms smell like a coffee shop in Amsterdam and I have to say its true (even though is not allowed to smoke). There are a lot of very vertical stairs so maybe reconsider if you carry a lot of luggage. And if youre staying for a night or more you will get charged more in cash (I didn’t since i didn’t sleep there but everyone else checking in did). Overall its okay for a budget trip, the facilites are comfortable enough considering the prices.

Excellent hostel! Walkable to everything!!! Groceries, restaurants, bars, shopping, cafes!!! It's a 12 minute walk from the main train station, rolling my luggage on old cobble stone sidewalks. A 25 minute walk to a river cruise to see beautiful Praha!!! A 6 minute walk to Pytloun Sky restaurant rooftop bar to see a 360 view of beautiful Praha!!! Cute fully equipped kitchen with a garden view while cooking, terrace is amazing to eat outside!!!The staff are amazing and full of LOVE!!!🤍

In town centre, many people homeless finding cheap staying for night, understanding of situation or stage of where they're Young finding comfortable that they can have cigarette without being criticised, definitely they respond to saying "the rush what You live right now, I wouldn't like to born again"
Finding very comfortable everything

The location was incredible. Very central. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. The facilities were good, showers clean. We were a group of 6 together in a room of 6 bunk beds. It felt spacious and the beds were comfortable. We had an unforgettable holiday, part in thanks to this hostel.
Steep stairs but this can't be helped.

For a BUDGET HOSTEL which some people seem to forget it's called the beds we're comfy, lockers provided in the room were easy to use and spacious, bathrooms were exactly what you needed and shower was ideal. Value for money especially in Amsterdam you can't go wrong
The stairs at the start were very steep but manageable, you could hear a lot of things going on but again it is a budget hostel so not much of a problem with that, the first door to the shower didn't lock so you had a fine quick line to go from outside the shower to inside the shower and lock the door but people are respectful enough to wait until there is no shower on

For the price the location is amazing. 300m from coffee shops, restaurants, groceries etc. We had a 3 person private room with a shared bathroom (with one other similar room), the shower was great (always warm, good pressure).
Very basic kitchen facilities. Our room was at the top floor, going up there felt like summiting a mountain.

Walking to the center is doable and biking makes it super easy. You can rent a bike at this hostel or from one of many stores. The receptionist is friendly and speaks many languages. My room was clean and comfortable with the bedding provided. There was a nice window to light the room and it wasn't crowded. I slept very well.
The stairs in this hostel are super steep and scary. The door to my room was super creaky and loud. The bathrooms are tight and well used...

Didn't have breakfast. For location, it felt very local. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and very available.
Change the layout of the city. OK, just joking here, but l found myself often "lost" trying to get around on foot. Maybe quaint, often annoying. If l would join the 21st century and use available technology, this would mostly go away!!

Location was perfect. You recommend to anyone. The building is a traditional Dutch style townhouse with some quite steep stairs, but this just made it even more fun staying here.
Not much. The ceilings were quite low in the room, I’m short, but my friend who I travelled with is quite tall found the ceilings and stairs a problem. But still, he said he’d stay again, so I’m not sure if it bothered him too much.
