The breakfast room has a beautiful view over the market square. The breakfast is extensive and varied too. The central location made it easy to wander around the city centre.

The nearest parking was 100 metres away. This was no problem for me on a short trip but if I came with my family and had suitcases to carry, it would be very inconvenient. The shower has followed fashion but it is bad fashion. There is no door and the water flows over the floor of half the bathroom. A disaster I have seen in many hotels. If I know in advance I look for a different hotel. There is no table one can use for a laptop.

the room was comfortable and clean the wifi was good the restaurant food was very good. I was leaving early on my checkout day and so the staff ordered me a takeaway bag to replace my breakfast.

There was very loud work going on the roof for two days during my stay. When I asked the staff how long it would continue, they asked if I wanted to change room but said that it would be finished the day after. I decided to stay in my room. I was happy that the staff offered me the room change without hesitation and that was sufficient feedback for my concerns.

Central location (easy 10min walk from Assen trainstation) in the heart of the city, with shopping district around. Cosy & friendly atmosphere. Hotel & restaurant in two different buildings, but next to eachother (small allee in between), so no problem there. Friendly staff who made you feel welcome (which is not something that comes natural in this branch nowadays, so big +). The restaurant not only has a conservatory, but also a large terrace outside where you can enjoy a drink and/or snack in sun or shade under the trees. Large room with twin bed, toilet & bathroom nicely separated, tv, airco system, coffee/tea facilities, seating area. Well assorted breakfast (continental & English) in buffetstyle in restaurant area. Drents Museum (our aim) almost literally around the corner. Could be our choice again !

Nothing to complain about...

The receptionist that welcomed us upon our arrival was extremely helpful managing to secure us a disability room for one of our group. She was amazing - nothing too much trouble. All rooms were lovely & clean with beds really comfortable. We will be staying again next year - lovely hotel & staff - thank you from us all.

Location was good. Breakfast was also very good.

..In the first room was horrible smell, there was impossible to be. Staff offered to us another room, but it was much smaller than we had booked. Then they offered room, which was big enough and there was everything ok. Why they didn't offer that room, when we claimed the first time... All this left a bad taste about the hotel.

The rooms are spacious and clean, The bed was very comfortable and a good breakfast in the heart of town.

The service during lunch was quite slow, even with plenty of staff they didn't seem to be on the look out for a guest trying to catch their attention. I didn't like the paper cups instead of cups or mugs for the tea and coffee.

Location is perfect right in centre of Assen and while fairly plain furniture it was comfortable, clean, and plenty of room. Breakfast is excellent too!! Gets you off to a great start for the day of touring!!

I booked this hotel for my parents as they came for the first time to the netherlands to visit my fiance's family. it was exceptional and it was in the city center so there was a lot to do! My parents loved it and also said that the free hotel breakfast was amazing.

The hotel was well situated in the center of Assen. Short ways to the shops and the restaurants. We went for the Frida Kahlo Expo and the museum showing the exposition was a short walk away. The restaurant buffet was very good.

The beds were very comfortable but the topper was not fixed to the rest op the bed and slided during the night.

The location of the hotel is superb, in the middle of town close to restaurants, museum, sights and shops. Breakfast is very good and full of variation and served in the nice restaurant next door. The room was very big and had excellent facilities.

There could have been a mini-fridge in the room, for a longer stay that would be nice.
