Good location just to the north of the city centre, many fast food outlets and several supermarkets within 5 mins walk. The hotel used to be the "student hotel" and is both a hotel and student housing. That means you'll perhaps find the public areas full of students studying etc. But it also means the WiFi is very good, and the rooms have a good sized desk (even with drawers!) and desk chair, so you can really did some work if needed. My room also had one comfy chair, and the TV was on a separate stand (again not taking up space from the desk work area). Lots of power outlets near the desk and bed (incl USB ports). All very clean, had a full size mirror, wardrobe, hairdryer, good bathroom. Excellent ventilation in the bathroom. The heating (or cooling) is by means of air conditioning; you can adjust the temperature and fan speed, or just switch it off entirely. The windows also open. Despite all the students around, it wasn't at all noisy. There's an electric kettle and mini Nespresso machine in the room for making tea/coffee. Staff at reception are very helpful, in case you need to borrow cutlery or to print out a document.

Hand soap in the bathroom is very strongly scented. Used disposable cups for coffee/tea, so not as eco friendly. The tea bags provided are very basic; not the same high quality as the Nespresso coffee in the room.

Open plan down stairs space , use of all facilities. Friendly staff, extra touches , like arrival and given a Dutch biscuit and when departing, given local sweets in a bag . We also had a chocolate left on our bed after our room had been cleaned

There were so many positives that I don’t think it’s really important to mention this and it’s a personal thing but I really didn’t like the dark walls and carpets in corridors and bedroom. But that is just my personal preference :)

the room was nice and big with a beautiful bathroom and a nice view. the personnel was very nice and attentive. there is a bike garage that we were able to use. even without taking the breakfast option, there was a coffee machine and coffee pods for customers to use in the room.

the door of the room was not very thick so in the morning we were able to hear what was going on in the hallway. other than that everything was great.

The room atmosphere were so quiet. despite of hectic activities at the hotel's lobby. Hot water and tap water were excellent. Room's heater worked very well. Clean and fresh white bed linens. Food at Social Hub cafe was good but a bit more expensive than some other good restaurants in the nearby districts such as at Grote Market, Fish Market.

No shampoo and bath foam refilling. No bed-sheet tide up like at the 2nd day. No more new bottle of two drink water like we had at the 2nd day..

The location is great, not far from the center, in a well-lit place, we had no problems returning from the concert at night. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is good, the room is clean, there is a kettle. I loved the interior with fun little quotes throughout the room (like the shower gel in a bottle called "Knowledge is a shower"). And we were given bottled water as a nice bonus on check out

The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful. From the the time we entered till we left the staff was always helpful and was ready to take an extra step to guide and support our needs. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The showers always had hot water which was very comforting in the cold weather. The hotel has a lovely gym and laundry room for your requirements with other children games to provide entertainment with Students monthly specials

The hotel did not provide any in room facilities. If you had to iron your clothes you would have to go to the laundry room next to the reception. The iron was leaking water , but did work.

Good location of the hotel. Nice staff and a creat atmosphere due to all the students. The breakfast was ok. There might be many better place around but it was convenient. The corner room was great seeing the sunset over Groningen.

Water from the shower ran into the bathroom. The bed had only one sheet. The room was basic. Nothing missing but not much more. A different price around 100€ would have been much reasonable!

The room was comfortable for a solo traveler with a spacious bed and a great view of the city. My room wasn’t ready to check in just yet and the person at the desk (Melanya) was very polite and helpful. Gave me a voucher for a free drink at the bar while I waited for my room so that was pretty cool. If you’re someone who likes to socialize, the hotel offers many events and amenities to utilize during your stay.

Clean and spacious room, having all the needed amenities. Handy open workplace facilities that you can use, even when you're not a guest anymore. Nice little gestures with the handwritten welcome card and the bag of Haribo's.

I've asked for a late check-out as I had to attend some meetings and wrap up some work items. In the end I could only extend the stay with just 1 hour, and had to pay extra 20 euros for it. Also, even if they were aware of the late check-out request, I still got called in the room before the noon to be asked why I haven't checked out yet. As nitpicking, the open workplace can get quite noisy if there are lot of students around, but not much you can do since in the end the facilities are for free. Can't complain much here.

The room was quite comfortable, the breakfast was fair and plenty, the staff very welcoming and helpful. The bathroom was very good. Although it is a quite lively place (as a student hotel), the room was extremely quiet, which I appreciated a lot, since I was there for work. The room had all amenities & provisions, such as a working space and an espresso maker. The price was quite good compared to other places in Groningen. There is a bus stop nearby which goes straight to the campus on the outskirts of the city, while the city centre is close on foot, so renting a bike is not really necessary, unless you prefer it, of course.

The room could have been a little cleaner. Also, the aisles are poorly lighted and have a kind of heavy smell.
