This is a traditional Dutch town house in a quiet street. Very close walking distance to many cafes and bars as well as useful shops. The inside of the house was full of character and I was able to store my touring cycle safely and securely in the hallway. On arrival I was met by my lovely host who showed me around. I was expecting a shared bathroom as advertised but found that on this occasion I had a lovely large bathroom to my self. The bathroom wasn’t en-suite but it made no difference to me. My host showed me a small kitchenette area outside of my bedroom door where he had kindly left a chilled beer, a small bottle of wine and a carton of milk for making tea etc in the fridge. Kettle,microwave, tea coffee sugar cups etc all supplied. I had a full size comfortable bed with a tv and towels for the bathroom. There was also a small shared balcony for guests to use which had a table and chairs and I spent the last of the evening sipping my beer, reading and watching the sun go down. A perfect ending to a long day in my saddle. I was given a voucher to visit a local cafe for a continental breakfast the next morning where there was plenty to eat and drink prior to the next leg of my cycle tour.

Very friendly owner. Took time for a short conversation and provided some advice about the town. Room was very clean and we'll arranged. Very authentic. Room suits very well for a family with child.

Nothing we didn't like. Seems the house has two front doors. The name reads Achterom 7, but address is number 9. It's just a very small confusion. For the rest there wasn't anything we disliked at all.

Superb value for money, ideal for a short stay. The hotel was clean, quiet. I would most likely reserve a night again in future.

As few hundred other people, I travelled to Hoorn to take part in the annual sporting event. It includes very early check out which does not match with breakfast schedule. The stay would be even greater if hotel took this into consideration and arranged alternative breakfast option.

Rita and Piet were wonderful hosts and their space couldn't have been more perfect - super cozy and centrally located. Everything was clean and offered us everything we needed to be comfortable during our bike tour. Would highly recommend this space to anyone passing through Hoorn.

Pillows were very fluffy for my liking. That's really it - everything else was great!

Very good location, in the city center. Very kindly and hospitable owner. Nice, typical Netherland house, clean and comfortable. Cofeemaker in the room, microwave oven in the common place

Breakfast were in the near restaurant, every day the same - croissant, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, drink. For us, it was enough, we like that, but somebody can await more.

Rita and Piet welcomed us very kindly. we liked the individuality of the House. we had all comfort in the room: heater, coffee, tea and water cooker. and Hoorn is authentic, a real great place. perfect stay!!!

No need to wash towels unless the guest requests it.

Susan the host was really flexible, the location was excellent and the house was gorgeous. Rooms had everything I needed and were super clean.

Lovely room in a beautiful old house in the town centre. Very friendly and helpful host. A safe place to leave bikes.

Being so close to the main square means there was some noise from drinkers going home late on Saturday night.

The location was perfect! Breakfast was at a separate location( 5 minutes away) not a problem, basic breakfast good coffee!
