I LOVED the way the buildings all have different colours and styles, and were designed to resemble and old-style fishing village. This was a brilliant idea. It was not too far to walk into the village (about a half hour) and it was interesting to see the architecture in the residential area you pass along the way. I happened to be there on King’s Day so I got to experience the village festivities. The hotel complex is perfectly situated for people wanting to stay for a day or two before or after their river cruise, which was why I booked there. It is a BEAUTIFUL complex. I also appreciated the wild flower/bird/insect garden.

There is nothing to dislike about the property.

We had a room with balcony, which was fantastic, unfortuately it rained a bit while we were there, didn't get to enjoy it much, but would definately recommend it. It was in a lovely location next to the water with some great walking tracks near by. Nothing is too far in Huizen, we walked everywhere. The Restaurants were great, quite a few to choose from with a variety of food and drinks.

Bike hire was a little expensive, there could offer a discount for people staying at the hotel. The breakfast was european, with cold meats and stuff, but for Australians it wasn't what we normally eat and so didn't really enjoy it. Only ate there once for breakfast.

good facilities, friendly welcome, good breakfast. Huizen is a wonderful fishing village with a rich history in both fishing but also in broadcasting. Much better value than Amsterdam, while being near enough for a quick car or train journey.

Still waiting for a copy of the bill since I paid for these guests as a present. Huizen does not have a rail connection so you really need a car to get to this location.

The overall impression is good. Nice rooms, location is beautiful, directly on the lake and harbor. We had lovely room with balcony. Room was clean, they have a pillow service if you need more or other pillows.

As so often with the Fletcher hotels, it's in the details. Nobody had time to put the pillows from the seat on balcony away during the rain? All pillows were soaking wet and moss was growing on them, so it was not just forgotten once. Shutters in room partly broken. It's these details that make the difference between good and great stay.

The room was a very affordable accomodation.and the setting is quite picturesque. The beds were very soft and the room's cleanliness was outstanding!

In the evening, my room's lighting is very low. The bulbs themselves are as bright as night lights, or the dimmed bulbs you'd experience in a restaurant on date night. But the room is really a great room if you can't past that minor issue!

Very nice junior suite, comfortable and clean. Helpfull staff and great location. We will definatly come back here again.

If the room had a little fridge, that would have been great. A little light in the corner where the big mirror is situated would be my advice. And a little place to put your showergel/shampoo in the shower would be easier for people who have issues with their back/knees.

Location is pleasant surrounded by water and close proximity to wooded hiking trails. Even though is close to Amsterdam it feels a world away. Breakfast room is super nice and homey.

Breakfast could be ever so slightly improved in the assortment, adding a cake or some different pastries could up the game!

It's a very calm place to stay. Very quite environment where you can enjoy..but if you are going out .. the nearest bus stop is 20 mins walk and from there to central station is about 50-60 mins. It's kind of suburb area surrounded with cafes. Rooms are clean and view is beautiful

Far from the city center. Location is in Huizen.. it's outside of Amsterdam.

Exceeded our expectations. It wasn't out first choice location (Naarden was mostly booked), but we ended up loving the unique harbor setting. There was a mix-up with the room, but they gave us wine while they straightened it out.

Location, really nice to relax with maritime touch (directly to water). Nice Restaurant directly to hotel, a place like a small resort.

needed a better connection to the center of Amsterdam ( Maybe a Bus from Hotel that offer this service) .and the waiters who work on weekends were very polite but unfortunately the communication between the kitchen and the food order left something to be desired. Lots of confusion in ordering. And also the opening hours of the Hotel kitchen, there is nothing to offer after 10:00 pm.
