Beds are comfortable, enough hanging space for clothes. Coffee and tea making facilities and daily cleaning / replenishing whenever suits you. Spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast has a good variety. Not aware of any gf options though. Lovely shower / toilet room. Good lighting and windows. Spijkers restaurant is the best in the area and the choices have something to suit everyone. Large outdoor seating area. Staff are lovely. Wide choice of drinks at the bar. Parking is free right outside. Quiet. Bicycles for hire.

"Balcony" door had to remain locked but there is an air conditioning / heating unit.

The rooms: - clean and comfortable. Well prepared and smells really fresh. We came in the summer time and the airconditioning was superb. Very relaxing. It has a smart TV inside and its well positioned so you can watch comfortably while in bed. The beddings are great. Not scratchy. Towels are soft too. There are bathrobes and slippers ready. The staff: -nice and helpful. Seem to really care about their job and what they do. The breakfast: -There were fresh fruits available( not cut fruits), different soft and hard breads, cold cuts like ham, salami, spreads, eggs, bacon (perfectly crispy), sweet breads, some fresh fruit juices, milk and warm and other cold drinks.. good breakfast before heading to the beach.

The bedroom was unique with polished concrete floor and the ceiling lighting was excellent, didn't want to look any where else, the bed was comfortable and room and ensuite were well furnished

The selection at breakfast was very limited for eggs and bacon just after 8, given that breakfast was until 9 this was disappointing, but the cold selection on offer was very fresh and tasty

Very clean. Good bathroom with great shower. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff, and good restaurant downstairs. There wasn’t much else around and I had my doubts about staying in the port area of IJmuiden, but as we’re doing a walking tour we didn’t have a lot of options. Finding this hotel was a gem!

I had a lovely stay in this relaxed hotel. Friendly welcome, nice clean room with air con and fridge, bed was comfy, large clean shower room. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Ideal location for the ferry. Free car parking.

The only window in the room is so high up that you can't look out the window (very high ceiling) and the fire alarm went off twice, once during day time but also during night so sleep was disturbed (no fire though).

The hotel staff was very friendly. They had placed an extra bed for free of our kid. There was also a swing for our kid to play. Tv connection for YouTube was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient. I strongly recommend.

The room was well designed and a generous size, with three large windows onto the harbour. Nice modern bathroom. Good casual dining restaurant, which was useful because bad weather discouraged us from going into the town centre. We appreciated the secure bike storage.

Only the third floor rooms have a view of the harbour since warehouses block the view from lower floors.

This is a rare find, for the entire property is semi, steam punk in decor. The owner, Bert, obviously takes great pride in maintaining a wonderful property which is comfortable in all ways.

Very clean and spacious. Staff is helpful. There is a great restaurant in the hotel with a large, comfortable outside seating area. It's a quiet location but a short walk from the centre. Nice breakfast variety. Beach is a 5min drive away. Plenty of free parking. Bicycles for hire at the hotel.

No complaints. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is absolutely outstanding. The rooms were very nice, and the image on the ceiling is a great added comfort.

The location is far away from the center. Unfortunately, most of the shops close to the hotel are now vacant
