Our stay at St Gerlach was excellent. We visited during the week for a short getaway from Amsterdam (arrived by train and it was a 10 min walk from the station to the property. The grounds, the food, the staff and especially staff were all exquisite. From Nikki at breakfast to Maarten and Iyla at dinner, chef Otto and his beautiful farm which we got a tour of. We were treated like queens and given so much love that we promised to be back.

Our stay was too short! The only downside was the spa - the massage felt like someone rubbing oil on me, little pressure, very amateur. A complete waste of money. Suggest skipping the massages and just use the gorgeous pool + sauna + Hamman.

The locaties is simply superb, and so is the friendly and professional staff (everywhere: reception, restaurant, Burgemeester Quicx, housekeeping). The outside areas and the outside of the buildings are in excellent condition. Our room (appartement suite) was huge, quiet and comfortable. Staying at this hotel means preserving cultural heritage.

The rooms’ bathrooms are becoming outdated (they are functioning well and are clean, but deserve an update). The restaurant is decent, but one would expect an even higher level of cuisine here at this location. Finally: breakfast is overpriced. These minor comments are merely a footnote to a wonderful stay.

It’s a wonderful place surrounded by beautiful grounds, including a rose garden, a vineyard and plenty of modern art sculptures on display. The 2-bedroom apartment with a small garden terrace isn’t super modern but very clean and comfortable and even offers a small kitchenette. We love the fact that pets are welcome, our dog was very happily exploring the orchard behind the building where our apartment was located. The hotel staff are brilliant and breakfast on the lawn with the view of the garden very much appreciated. The swimming pool in the spa is a quite impressive size for a hotel and the ambiance very calm. The dinner in the main restaurant was an amazing experience, the chef - who personally brought one of the dishes from the tasting menu we ordered - definitely knows what he’s doing. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will be back.

Once it gets hot, the apartment might benefit from air-conditioning, though this wasn’t an issue this time on account of moderate temperatures, plus fans are provided. The breakfast is a bit pricy, though yummy with plenty of choice.

Breakfast was decent with an option to order hot meals. Surroundings, parks etc were great for walks. We enjoyed pool and spa area.

We travelled with a baby of 22 months. This facility is not really baby friendly (no option for a small pool, no playground, restaurant in the facility was way too baby unfriendly etc.). The targetted guests are probably adults only and that is ok. If you travel with a baby or small kids I would probably not recommend this destination.

The hotel property was exceptional, the grounds were all manicured and well -appointed; the beautiful art pieces scattered on the grounds gave a museum-like quality; the beautiful old buildings took us back in time; loved exploring the grounds - St. Gerlach church, the vineyards, rose garden, vegetable garden...the room was so luxurious I would give it a 12! Most comfortable night's sleep since we started travelling two weeks before. The buffet brekfast had a good array of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, etc. It was the perfect stay to treat my 84-year old mother to watch the Andre Rieu concert - she was just thrilled!

Very pleasant environment, Comfortable large room, excellent staff always friendly & helpful, wonderful restaurant.

Having to negotiate small breakfast cost. I was under the impression that the swimming pool and restaurant were inside the hotel building. Difficult to telephone the hotel because the mail was in Dutch without indication that English version was someway below a very long mail. The tel no given was for the group and not the hotel.

Fantastic location in a fully green domain where you can stroll around and enjoy some peacefulness. Food was excellent and a very rich a varied breakfast. Easy to find a parking spot and move around also to reach the city centre. The staff welcomed us warmly and in the room we had a welcome card and pillow and treats for our dog.

The restaurant does not allow dogs, which is a bit sad as we could not go (I did not want to leave my dog behind in the room as it's not her usual environment and she would have panicked). We had some noise issue from the guests upstairs (a lady that would walk up and down at 2am on her heels and scream as it was 2pm). But that has nothing to do with the hotel but with some people who are all but respectful. Maybe a suggestion would be to improve the sound isolation of the suite apartments a bit more.

The hotel was very good, reception was friendly etc. We felt the breakfast was pretty expensive but the quality of the food was good so we enjoyed that. The parking was good and the park also was very nice.

We have had one night dinner in the restaurant which we felt was not meeting our expectations. We felt the menu was not very exciting in itself. The one dish we all 4 liked to order was already sold out. The taste of the food was good, but nothing spectacular as one would expect for this price. We had to wait 45 minutes between the first and second course which we felt was way too long. And the lack of a wine arrangement was a bit of a disapointment too. TBH we had dinner in the town the night before and paid half the price for a seriously better meal. I would be worried if I were you. Also because of a wedding reception the bar in the hotel was closed so we had to go outside (pouring rain) and walk to the other venue

We loved our appartement/Room, the Art garden, rose garden and ofcourse the restaurant! Before the marvelous breakfast we were able to enjoin the pool (and my wife and myself jumped in the steam cabin as well)

Nothing much, however when walking from the parking towards the terrace of the restaurant there was a strange smell .

the location is great . I appreciate the serenity of the park , a perfect escape from the busy cities. The breakfast is amazing (quality of the products).

At this level you could expect a bottle of water to welcome you along the very good chocolate . Arriving to discover an empty fridge is affecting the good welcome feeling. On Sunday , the swimming pool was a kids party venue, not the serene place you would expect.
