It's my home from home. Everything about Hotel Bakker is cosy, traditional and steeped in old-fashioned values & style. Breakfasts are generous, the dinners are delicious (they always serve you their famous crispy potatoes, no matter what you order!) and the staff are hotel-school trained professionals. I simply love this hotel beyond words.

Their new carpets in the bedrooms are very odd....wood pattern printed on fuzzy carpet tiles. But the rest of the interior decor exudes country elegance.

The room was on the ground floor, with a door in the back that opened onto our own little terrace overlooking a lovely garden. The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. It was wonderfully calm and quiet there as well. There was also a locked bike garage which was large enough to easily house everyone's cycles. The restaurant had a beautiful outdoor area in the back, and the menu included a very good selection of vegetarian options. The service was perfect.

the staff are professional, warm and welcoming. it is a warm cosy welcoming hotel. the rooms are separated from the hotel bar restaurant etc which gave space and quiet when needed. the food was fantastic and the locals that dine at the hotel were also warn and friendly ! this hotel should definitely have 4 stars and not 3. thank you hotel bakker 🥰

two single beds put together but not made as one big bed. when i asked for a double sheet to try gind more space at night as it was too small for me the worker was very short with me and said no we only have single so thats it, i did ask to speak to another person as she was very blunt and then a gentelman worker called back and then arranged for double sheets and covers which then helped. the rooms are ok, nothing fancy but clean and quiet.

the hotel is just lovely and you have small garden/ terrace thing, really loved it and would recommend in heart beat Good WiFi The staff was genuinely very nice and helpful I checked out before 7am and they let me pack breakfast to go the breakfast selection was really nice Location very handy for Pieterpad walkers

only two minor things: Kettle or fridge in the room would be nice Some fruit at breakfast also

It is a place with history, and you can tell the owner and staff take pride . The location is very good in the center of town . The room was nice too. Good breakfast.

The mattress was too soft for my taste and the pillow to big but this is just a personal preference.

Rooms were comfortable, breakfast so good. Great Dutch experience

Only fans in the room, no ac. Not needed with cool Vorden nights, but for those who are hot at night could bhave used an extra fan

The staff were so helpful, the food was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful. Great location for exploring this very pretty area.

The dinners !!! And everything else. Plus the beautiful walks, to the castles, to the cemetery.

I would have like a coffee / tea - maker in the room

Really surprised at how wonderful it was to stay here. The electic buildings from different periods are beautifully grounded and connected together by the landscape/ garden. Lots of privacy on the room's terrace despite being open to the garden. Wonderful service at dinner. They really take care of you.

Sometimes I just wish for a beautiful kingsize bed. The two twins aren't the best. But the beds were comfortable.

The Rooms were very clean and our room had a small terrace. The breakfast was good. There was a nice and quiet garden, the workers showed us hospitality, and the style was cosy and old-fashioned in a chique way.

I liked the hotel!
